No matter how many times you’ve seen the Harry Potter films, there are small moments and details you may have forgotten about. Warner Bros and J.K. Rowling went to great lengths to create a highly detailed world which feels real and expansive. Take a journey back to these films and see all the small details you missed over the years.
The Deathly Hallows symbol represents the master of death and wasn’t introduced until the final two Harry Potter movies. Look closely in an earlier movie and you will see a sign of what’s to come. The number 7 has major significance in the Harry Potter series and the strong connection does not go unnoticed. Snape may have been playing along as a Death Eater, but one wizardly battle showcases how clever he was at acting bad but still doing good deeds. Gilderoy Lockhart was a phony in so many ways right down to the last hair on his head. Ron Weasley's family obviously comes from very little money and the production crew went to great details to showcase how poor they actually were. Dumbledore not only had a great office, but he also had a small bedroom and secret lair attached to the office. As Harry Potter prepares to visit the Ministry of Magic, he enters a phone booth with a secret code even a muggle could figure out. One of the more memorable early scenes in Harry Potter includes the chocolate frog that comes to life and hops off the train. In the final Harry Potter movie it seems as if the chocolate frog has returned. Watch to see all these moments and more!

In the books, there are 7 obstacles you have to pass to get to the philosophers stone: Fluffy, the Devils Snare, the flying keys, the giant chess, a Troll, Snapes potions riddle and the mirror of erised
the troll was kind of already done in the girls bathroom... but i still think they should have added in the the potions!!!!
Saga Mäkilä there were 2
Troll doesn’t guard it...
musicand comedytk 2? Explain.
Hermione Granger If you read the books it tells you that the troll was Professor Quirrell’s defence since each teacher had a defence. And the reason it’s not there is because Quirrell released the troll to create a diversion and Harry defeated it.
You don't have to look at how faded Ron's cloak is to now that it is a hand me down because Draco Malfoy says it in the first film!
Yes, but having a character say something in a movie is poor writing. If you can show it too it adds to the effect on us as an audience.
I didn't take the chocolate frog at the end to be THE chocolate frog....just one in general, such as those darn chocolate frogs are still sold on the train and still making mischief.
whutzat But let’s be honest it’s pretty clear that’s what they were referencing to. It’s not like they added it not knowing it was an easter egg.
and they have one good jump in them before they turn to pure chocolate. its just a candy like a pushpop or wax lips...
Hahaha I like your thinking!
whutzat true!
I already knew 9 and 3/4 of these.

You nailed it!

RON’S OLD WAND IS CHARLIE’S, NOT PERCY’S!!!
I know obliviously they don't
Taylor Boys ah I see what you did there ;) (obliviate, obviously)

Hoot Hoot (Go back to your grave, dead man.)
And in the book they say that he got a new wand in PofA when Ron sends Harry a letter about them winning the galleons
When Snape asks that question to Harry which secretly was meant for his love to Lily was my most favourite part!!
Ron's parents buy him a brand new wand before PoA starts which is something you'd know if you read the books
Melody Knight-Brown I know it's like they have never even done the slightest research they just saw things that they thought no one else that's all she said hey let's do it good just reading the books through once you would know half of the answers and be clearly easy to know
This video is based on the movies. Read the title.
Sure but that was still an ignorant statement. You can not talk about a series just looking at its covers. The movies are pretty much the movies covers and what is true and known in the books are also true in the movies. He also refered to the books multiple times in the video so he can not use that excuse :P
Arstan.....fair enough. Lol.
You beat me to it I was going to say that one
Honestly I was damn suprised when people found Snape negative at first. Cause I don't know why but I never felt he could be bad after I've heard professor squirrel say that he wanted to save Harry
I don’t mean to laugh but professor squirrel? Check your spelling
medhansh mahto same
Another 7 link is that there are seven Weasley children
7 players on a Quidditch team
Seven years in school at Hogwarts
the kit was cause of becks
harry born in the 7th month
7 obstacles in philosopher's stone, 7 horcruxes
I noticed that in the chamber of secrets, during transfiguration, Ron’s “rat” turns into half rat/half mug. I wondered if this was because scabbers was really an animagous. The magic was supposed to turn an animal into an object, not a human. Idk that could be incorrect 🤷🏻♀️
Natalie Spitz thats good
I think rons wand was also broken at that point by the willow tree. He gets a new wand in the beginning of the 3rd book, after his fam wins that gold and goes to Egypt.
Human transfiguration is meant to be much harder than animal transfiguration so maybe that’s partially why Ron struggles with transfiguring ‘scabbers’ as well as his broken wand
But the point of transfiguration is to do just that. Completely transfigure. So for all tense and purposes hes a rat that was a wizard. That can go back if he chooses. But when hes in "rat form" he loses the ability to do spells and such. His transformation back to a human is more of a natural thing. No spells or anything special just clear mind. Besides when you transform your drop everything anyway. I played alot of D&D and was a DM for a while. So I'm just looking at this from that point of what happens when a character "druid" turns in to a wolf. Unless he has very hard to get feats. Hes/shes just a badass wolf who cant cast any of its spells untill it turns back.
I’ve wondered that a lot Natalie Spitz
Ron Weasley received a new wand it, it said so in the book right after his family won some money.
Remind me again, how they came into some money?
They won a prize From the daily Prophet
rosario perez Senior Weasley worked for the Ministry... yes the family doesn’t have immense amounts of money... but they were not DIRT poor... just a big family... written as per the handmedowns
rosario perez they won a draw in the daily prophet, so they used the money to buy ron's new Wand plus a trip to Egypt to visit Bill
Michael Sternberg just commented that
guy: “snape the character we *lovedddd* to hate”
me: **ive been in love with severus since i was 10**
I've Been Inlove With Him Since I Was 7- Gotta Admit It SomeDay Lol
Rowling did said she told the late Alan Rickman the story of Snape to get him into playing Snape in the movies. While she could come up with the idea much much later the general idea of a sincere, unrequited love is easily transmitted through the easter egg in the 1st movie
RIP Alan Rickman.
She made tge book years b4 my apologys
10 important details that screen rant missed but everyone else knew
Ben Souther omg!! 😂😂
"important details..." yeah, because susan bones is SUPER important...
Never noticed her in the books or movies
Christopher Heldgaard she's only mentioned like once in the movies and maybe twice in the books
She's pretty hot though
@tamara so was i when I liked her daaaa i was 16 back then.
susan bones does add a thing or two to the story line
Did he just call it Hogwarts academy
Yes
Tilly The unicorn ik I bet he didn't even watch or read the books he just searched it up
Hmm Americans take over even English things. Very sad.
Ikr I replayed it just in case I didn't hear it right
He said hallows wrong...he be over here saying it fanvy or somethin
actually we do know about Ron's new wand, at least in the books.
they bought him a new one after year 2, Ron showed it off in Diagon Alley when Harry caught up to him and Hermione
The only information I got from this was that you didn’t read the books.
Well I got enough information because I didn't read them 😊
Pat The Geek not everyone reads
OMG lol
@@giovannapucci9053 you really need to read them. You haven't lived until you do!!!!
Why will they made movies if all have to read the books?
These people need to read the books
Their name is ScreenRant.....as in they talk about movies. Lmao. This has nothing to do with the books.
Makin' Bacon fair point, but they reference the books. So if they want the video to just be about movies they need to say about it not including the information from the books
Emilia L.....touche'. Lol.
U need to shut up
Olorin Mithrandir no u
The phone booth password was not low security - it was intended to be easy as it was the “visitors entrance”. In other words, it was for muggles and other outsiders who had business at the Ministry. Per the books, the “muggle prime minister” knew about the wizard world, so it is not inconceivable that other muggles would know about it too. Thus, the need for a low-security entrance.
just so y'all know Snape has always been my favorite person. when he killed dumbledore i knew he had a reason for it, just as hating harry.
and JKR's entire reason for being obsessed with 7 is because of her own bday. Such a Leo lol That's why Harry was given the same bday.
@@willowcove888 But Harry's birthday was 31 July
In the books it says that Ron’s parents BOUGHT him another wand. (This was when they won the ministry lottery)
Have you read the title.
None of these facts are about the book.
Snape even takes the wands from deatheaters after they've been knocked down...cool detail
another link is that with the flying car Harry and Ron were seen by 7 muggles.
How are those phone booths hard to find these days? They're everywhere in London

Cassandra Thomas he is so full of nonsense
The dude in the video is American. That's also why he called it sorcers stone etc.

In the book his wand is replaced with a new one and from then on his magic skill improved
anyone else irritated when he called it the "Sorcerer's Stone"?
Nope because that’s the American name of the book.
King Zando does philosopher have too many letters for the colonies?
Maybe, but the book and author are British,it was changed to sorcerers stone because American publishers thought philosophers stone was too intellectually challenging for the American masses, you got to go with the original and proper title.
Martin Forde to us in the states sorcerers stone IS the original title! I wasn't aware it was changed just from philosopher until the 4th book was released and I was watching a news story on J.K.R.
Will Hatton no not at all
You've clearly never read the books, or you would know half of these things.
If I remember right, Ron's wand is handed down from Charlie not Percy isn't it?
Corbin Garrett Bill, actually.
Bill, I think.
Bill's old wand, and Percy's rat; Scabbers.
yes charlies old wand
It was bill
I Love Snape he is my favorite character from day and movie one!
RIP Alan Rickman!
Another 7 link is that there are 7 players in Quidditch on each side
Pratik Gaikwad There's also 7 floors at Hogwarts
Yeah and in Deathly Hallows there are 7 Harry Potters in disguise to escape Lord Voldamort
Harry's Quidditch number is 7
The weasley family has 7 children
Harry was born in the seventh month and so was Neville, two of the most important characters in the books and films
I think "Clickbaiting" should be a valid reason to flag videos
SquishyOfCinder I totally agree.
First of all, it isn´t Percy´s old wand. Ron is using Bill´s old wand. Second of all- how many of those did you find by yourself, and how many did you "borrow" from vidieos of other people? -_-
Miška Tomčíkova it's actually Charlie's old wand, people never get it right!!
Miška Tomčíkova iT is not bill his wand iT is from charlie
yes, I know.
And Charlie’s old wand combination of features makes it amazingly loyal to its original owner, therefore any other wizard using it would find it to be extremely inefficient and uncooperative.
why, chello there.
"Lockhart's wig" 😂😂😂
Really great list! However, I always thought the chocolate frog was an obvious callback to the first film. Isn't that why Hermoine giggles in the first place?
Magicman205
That's not why she giggles, she wasn't even there the first time around.
She giggles cause of Ron’s failed colour changing attempt on his rat
Hermione appeared after the frog escaped.
@@jessebubba1926 I don’t think hermione is ever described as giggling
If you'd read the books you'd know that it wasn't Percy's wand, it was Dumbledores, and Ron's parents got him a new golden one with wifi capabilities. What's wrong with this guy? Obviously Harry was the 18th Horcrux, and it was called the philanthropist's stone... Jesus Christ almighty in the heavens, these people need to learn to read! Jk, most of the comments talk about reading the books but fail to read the 200 comments previously saying the same thing they are. Not that they're wrong. Just silly.
😂😂😂😂😂
MondoSquad lmfaoooooo
MondoSquad It’s Sorcerers stone in US
Di you mean "Jk" or " *J.K.*
@@Lauren-vf4ft yeah the Americans may have called it that but as JK Rowling is British and Harry Potter was set in the UK it should only be known as the Philosophers Stone
1. We didn’t miss anything
2. If you’d read the books you wouldn’t sound so foolish in this video
1. Over 65% of people that saw the movies never read the books.
2. This video is based on the movies as per the title.
Makin' Bacon but the title doesn’t match the video and they reference the books
Mara Loeters I hoped it wasn’t just me who thought those things
Just because you (and apparently someone else) didn’t miss anything, doesn’t mean everybody noticed it...
hahahaha theres always that one dickhead that uses the “read the books” argument because he thinks hes better than everyone else
Did anyone else notice in the 1st movie the way dumbludore claps. When Harry gets sorted into gryfondor he claps normally
Ron got a new wand
Draco : Scared pottah ?!
Harry : You wish !
My favourite dialogue😂😂😂😂
Horcruxes don’t allow you to be born again and again?? Wth?? And if you meant the word as in borne it wouldn’t even make sense?!
Mara Loeters calm down we know
whats wrong with this girl?
Well in the goblet of fire he's kind of resurrected/born again in a way. The horocruxes makes your spirit stay so you can be brought back.
I totally agree, I hate that I clicked on this video, it just showed all the things the movie didn't include from the book
All horcruxes do is provide a way for you to come back. They essentially store your spirit
7 is literally descirbed in the book as the "magic number". It’s super intentional and supposed to be noticed. Also harry was the 8th horcrux, not the 7th
Actually there were 7 Horcruxes 8 parts of a soul get it right
Diadem
Nagini
Diary
Cup
Locket
Ring
HARRY
And the eighth part of the soul is in Voldemort
Anum Qazi ??
Anum Qazi Quirell wasnt a horkrux But The main Part of voldemorts Soul lives in his body for a while. So it is Kind of The same Part as The voldemort in The later books.
Sorry for my only okay english... i am german
nope,they just shared bodies
No Harry was seventh let’s count cup, locket, diary, ring, snake, diadem,Harry those are the horcruxs but Voldemort was the eighth bit of soul so you could look at it like there were eight bits of soul but only seven horcrixs
Also did he call something “wizarding rubbish”
yeah, the part where snape said "What would i get if i added root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" (i can't remember the whole asphodel part lol)
I could sit here and watch harry potter related videos all day
You really need to read the books
You don’t know anything about the Harry Potter franchise
For instance - I think The wand that Ron had was passed down from Charlie not Percy and second that Ron got a new wand when his father got decent amount of money and he bought Ron a new wand
Not everyone is obligated to read the damn books. Shut the hell up about it.
Actually in the Prisoner of Azkaban Ron’s family won a trip to Egypt. He thought that Scrabbers got sick there when Peter Pettigrew was acting screwy. In that book Ron got a new wand during that summer.
What did the author of the harry potter series call the first book? oh that's right, THE PHILOSOPHER STONE!
i called it in book four that snape was in love with harry's mom. my friends laughed at me. the joy i felt when i rubbed it in their faces three books later was priceless.
Dear (insert your name), you have been excepted into hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Your school materials are this: one wand, hogwarts robes, a cauldron, (grade 3 spell books: walking with werewolves by Linda schemer, hogwarts, a history by Alastair potland, and timeline of magic history by lee Ford) You will need some sets of clothes you will be staying for the whole year (unless you choose to go back home for the holidays of course) you will need a broomstick (any model of flying broomstick). Once you get here you will be sorted into your a house (which is basically the people you will be taking classes with) Gryffindor,Slytherin, hufflepuff, or ravenclaw. First years are not permitted to play quidditch games, but are allowed to go and watch. If you do anything that is against the rules you will lose points for your whole house ( the houses compete in a yearly house cup so the whole school will participate). Your classes will end at the end of the day ( 4:30) and you will sometime be able to go to your dormitory or common room in between classes. If you are muggle born (muggles are non-magic people) then you will go into your town and find an almost unnoticeable door that no one seems to see and go inside you will then see diagon ally and that is where you will buy your things. On November 9th you will go to any your ticket will be in the mail and you will go to a train station find platforms 9and10 and run strait into the wall and you will be teleported to platform 9 and three quarters, that is where you will find your train. You can invite 2 friends to hogwarts with you and they can learn at hogwarts as well! From, Minerva Mcgonagal, headmistress at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. Bye!
Wow wow wow wow
Snape was not a good teacher but a awesome person!
PHILOSOPHER'S STONE!!!
Shut up. Americans can call it whatever we want
Nicholas Langley I shall call you "Nicholas Flamel" for absolutely no reason related to Harry Potter.By the way I'm not American.
It's different in some countries God do you people have nothing better to do with your lives than nit pick UA-cam videos
Karter Todd no we dont
Quietman365 yes, you can tell these people didn’t read the book (or they weren’t British )
You can see Susan Bones in The Goblet of Fire. She's in the audience when Harry Potter returns from the maze with Cedric Diggory's body. I can't remember if she was in any of the other films. However, I do remember seeing her there.
that's not true
You are making a lot of Harry potter video's lately!
That chocolate frog yeeted itself off of that bus and honestly I relate
7 Weasley children
7 years of education
and much more (even though I cannot remember any more )
7 horcroxes 7 people have to die for tom to split his soul each time 7 locks on the door severus us 7 letters abd looks like the letter 7 who protects the 7th horcrux
7 challenges to get to the philpsophers stone.
Yelda Cetin turn to page 394
3+9+4= 16 > 1+6= 7
😮
7 muggles saw the car
Two things,
1) The number 7 is generally considered one of the most powerful numbers (in the western world at least), e.g. the world's creation in 7 days, the seven dwarfs in Snowwhite, or the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Plus, with two dices, the number 7 has - statistically spoken - the highest frequency, being 1.2 times more likely than the 6 and the 8.
There is even this so-called Blue-Seven-Phenomenon, that, when asked for a preferred number between 1 and 9 as well as for a preferred colour, most people apparently tend to answer "blue" and "7".
And 2): Did I miss something or how does 62442 spell magic? F-B-D-D-B? | M-A-G-I-C: 13-1-7-9-3 => 131793
It's the numbers of the letters in the alphabet. A=1, B=2, and so on. And "magic" equals 13 1 7 9 3
This guy may have gotten a lot wrong, but the numbers are right. They were playing off the fact Mr. Weasley was inputting these numbers on a phone. Back in the days of flip-phones with alphanumeric keypads, the numbers 6-2-4-4-2 would be used to type magic
I like how you acknowledge that if people don’t subscribe before they watch, they won’t do so at all 😂
I strongly dislike hate on UA-cam channels in my opinion why are you on the channel if you hate it but I was watching Harry Potter theories and I saw this come up I thought it would be a good way to test my potter knowledge but this video was trash they did no research they got so much wrong but a few things were right so I applaud them for amazing me with the whole wormtail plant thing that was something
The detail about seven weasley children also fits into the number seven as a theme in the books. Also the dissapearance of susan bones sounds like a really good crime documentary
ok so i never did notice Snapes hint in the first potions class. That is very interesting.
Very you would have to have googled it but they didnt have that then forshadowing at its finest
Wow... Thnx for sharing, the first Harry Snape Interaction... And also there are a lot of events in the movie where Snape saved him, the best one was in Umbridge's chamber
It was Bill's old wand, not Percy's.the password to access the Ministry had to be simple......It's the access to the visitor entrance to the Ministry. Its supposed to be widely known.
It was Charly's old wand, not Percy's and also not Bill's! He got Bill's old robes, Charly's old wand and Percy's old rat.
it was charlie's old wand
As a 7 year old kid I never really hated Snape. He was never truly cruel - often I felt Harry Potter was a snotty kid and just keep growing that direction.
We hated Snape?
I always loved him tbh
Same!
Same !!
ME TOO!!
Always-
I actually still hate him, even with his "redemption." He's a cruel bully who does end up being on the right side of the fight, but for purely selfish reasons. And he's still a complete jerk to a young child whose only crime is being the orphaned son of a man Snape didn't like. Wow, what a hero.
something i've noticed that i haven't heard mentioned is that at his party, slughorn is confused about the what a dentist is and does. but, in the second movie, the weasley's clock has dentist as a location.
The chocolate frog could've been someone else's
Well we like to think that it was Harry's it makes the ending much cuter (and sadder for me)
Screen Rant: Shows deathly hallows symbol
Me: BILL CIPHER
that thing doesn't look like the deathly hallows symbol at all
neomp5 can u sub to me i will to u
neomp5 with some imagination it does, but I doubt Rowling actually planted it there...
at best there's a passing resemblance. but enough differences to make it clear it wasn't intended to be the deathly hallows symbol
Shouldn't the symbol just be the wand and stone (the cloaks invisible 😃.)
Chinex Evolution yes
1:08 dude I went to a flea market and was drawn to that necklace (I’ve never watched Harry Potter movies but read the books) and now I’m geeking over the fact I have the same necklace.
In the books, Ron got a new wand when his old one broke.
A new "wand" ? That's the German word for "wall"....didn't know he chose to be a bricklayer as his second career...
That 3 headed dog already gets me every time I watch this video 😱
Ron's wand before belonged to Bill not Percy. You got it wrong.
while it is wrong that it's not Percy's wand. The wand is also not Bill's. Ron got Bill's old robes, Charlie's old wand, and Percy's old rat.
It was not Percys wand but it was actully Charlies remember Ron said "I have Bills old wand Charlies old wand and Percy's old rat
It was Percy's wand
CHARILE
CHARLIE
Ron got his own wand after that one broke in part 2, and from there he got better at magic,
same happened with Neville, who used his fathers wand, but broke it in the battle of the department of mysteries
Did J.K.Rowling actually mean to mention Lily when Snape talked to Harry?
Fancorn yes, it's on pottermore. It's from the Victorian language of the flowers. You can look it up
Yes
The room behind Dumbledores desk and chair is used when Harry talks to Dumbledore in the last part of the order of the Phoenix
Chocolate Frog Would actually be 26 years old
Well, it's magical... so I doubt it would have died nor spoiled...
Endy Ender EXACTLY. that's an old ass piece of candy though lol
Chocolate doesn't get bad, so why not? As long as the animation spell holds...
The frog was so adorable. I mean it's a cute frog AND chocolate... He 'd get a bit whiteish over time though....^^ Must be actually great to breed these chocolate frogs. Tiny froglings everywhere and always enough snacks in the house, whenever friends came over...but petting them would be risky...maybe cross them with M&M's.....
The deatheaters weren’t dead. Snape aimed the spells and before he left he took their wands it shows it
Maybe if you read the books, youd know that Rons parents bought him a wand after they went to Egypt with the money they won from the Ministry
Riley Devan how did they win money from the ministry?
MERLIN'S BEARD, THE SNAPE ONE WAS AWSOME
There needs to be a massive Harry Potter game made. Right now
@Zhu Aileen what
7 Weasley children...Charlie, Bill, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, & Ginny
Of course .....
SNAPE potion class
Voldemort wanted 6 Horcruxes to give him a 7-part soul - 6 Horcruxes, plus the "Master Soul" still in his body.
Harry didn't make himself number 7, there are 7 players on a team.
The frog isn't the same one...
not sorcerer it's philosopher's stone
SamE 21666 It was called Sorcerer's Stone in the US, and this channel is American. Get over it and yourself.
Its called both
We could go on for a while on this subject. Depending on the country, the title was changed (adapted ?). For example, if I were to translate the title of the first book from french into english, it would be the following : Harry Potter at the School of Wizardry. Most of us will agree on the lameness of it (even if I'm French), but we didn't choose it, publishers did, let's blame them and not the readers (even if I must agree that some, as rare as they can be, subtleties were lost during the translation into american english)
Potato SPUD Sorcerer is US
Marc Antoine Froger Totally agree with this. There are people having literal UK vs US arguments in the comments over a BOOK title. The stone has two different names for two different cultures so it’s easier to interpret and find meaning behind. I don’t see how that’s a problem when it doesn’t change the structure or importance of anything else in the books
Harry book 1: Who is that man?
Book 7: The bravest man I knew
Philosopher’s stone
Locharts baldness was also revealed in the LEGO game, when the pixies were trying to take off his wig in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom
In the book Snape didn't save Harry and the others of Lupin as he was a werewolf because he was unconscious all the time
The part with the asphodel infusion was waaayyy too cool,I had no idea!
It's The PHILOSOPHERS Stone
in the U.S it is the sorcerers stone. This is an American channel too so..
TheGecko 1212 in the US it’s sorcerers and idk where it is called Philosophers Stone but he’s a US citizen
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Potter_and_the_Philosopher%27s_Stone
in the us it is called the sorcerer's stone for the first harry potter book, here in the uk it is called the philospher's stone, as each country will understand a different term, we understand philosopher and us citizens understand sorcerer, same with a lot of terms that are different for the 2 countries
Eli 'Gecko' Beachill British boi
It would be amazing if there was a prequel on Lilly james Snape and Sirius life
The snape thing was jawdropping!
I have watched several times Harry potter's movies and read books but still there lies something unnoticed and then I like to watch it again. It is infinitely interesting.
Literally everyone knows all of these
Nope
Ikr if your a potterhead you knew all of these and MORE
I liked Snape and Susan bones. I was surprised at the Hallows symbol. The wig was funny.
Real fans know these things
If you read the books it says that Ron gets a new wand in the prisoner of azkaban
Snape not just killed the 2 DeathEaters, but also took their wands before escaping through the window ;)
“If he (Ron) got a new wand or not,we don’t know.”
