Thanks, Andy, For All That You Do !
May I ask. That guitar… does it have a small chunk out of the neck at the back on the F bass side? And if so what can I do to get it back? That guitar looks identical to something that got away from me about 13 years ago. I’d do anything to get it back.
Looks like Andy is all the way back and we can all celebrate and be thankful for the day to day pleasure his amazing lessons bring us and that he is feeling like the sun is shining down.
Never realized what a rocking guitar groove this tune had, perfect balance of funk and driving rock. Andy you are the best.. Thanks!!
Rare Earth was underrated. They could really set a groove.
Whoa, Dude, you keep getting better & better! Early 70's tune that rocks. Well done, Maestro!
Andy really works hard to stay true to the music. He deserves our support!
So nice to have you back! Because of a divorce, spouse abuse, and my kids mental health challenges, I haven't played guitar for the past few months. Sadly, I replaced it with alcohol:( You have inspired me to start again! Thank you, Andy!
I went through some similar crap. Feel free to reach out to me if you need.
Always look forward to your uploads! Best on the internet!
Great song extremely well played!! Thanks for hiring the drummer. I can’t imagine a Rare Earth song without the drums.
Yes indeed, I'll be learning this one! Hey Big Brother is another fantastic Rare Earth song. 👍
The man never disappoints … thank you !
I am of a vintage that this rings a bell but now i MUST learn it. Thank you very much , its awsome
Your lessons are great. Just wanted to say thank you.
Oh Yes !!!!! Thank you. You have my heart racing. Glad to have you around again.
To one of your listeners and commenter . Hang in there pal. The bottle doesn't do a thing. Wake up, crap is still there and we feel like crap. Trust me, I'm going through some horrors myself right now. Hang in there pal ! Sorry people about my rant/advice.
Let's listen and watch Andy teach us another amazing tune in great fashion.
PEACE from Philadelphia
I immediately thought "Whoa, Andy's drum machine skills have gone ballistic!" Then the timing and groove betrayed that there was a skilled drummer hitting things with real sticks. 🙂 Excellent as always, big Rare Earth fan. Nice job Trent!
The attention to detail on these lessons is superb.
that’s a difficult song to replicate- very well done
i remember when this was on the radio
i saw RE in concert at their peak of popularity
Came a point I forgot this was a lesson and just shook my head and watched you play. Damn, I love it !!! Thanks so much.
One of my truly favorite songs! Thank you so much for this work sir.
Andy. Wishing you a healty and happy new year. Keep on rocking.
Heck ya thank you. Just listening is fabulous.

Thank you for this . Came out when I was 13, and is one of the songs that got me into music. ROCK music! The band won't care, but ima learn it anyway.
Great lesson! I have always loved this tune! Great job!
You're just the best video instructor! Love you dude!

Absolutely killer track
I've seen Rare Earth several times at the Colorado Spring Armory! That was many moons ago. Always a great show and I ALWAYS looked forward to this hymn. Great suggestion!
SO FUCKING AWESOME. I WAS LIKE WHAT 12,13. When this came out. The SCRATCH IS PHENOMENA. .
That is one beautiful guitar. You burn up the screen with this rocker. I love that you give the names of the notes.
I could listen to you play all day! I don't even have an electric right now. All I brought with me to college was my taylor 310.
Very cool and what a great song to have covered. Thanks!
excellent lesson...had to appreciate the Rare Earth / I Just Want To Celebrate / 1974 California Jam
Wow Andy, that was truly phenomenal.
Fantastic guitar video's, I've learnt so much from this guys video's, live the stones "gimme shelter" thx🎸🎸🎸
I totally agree abput the pentatonic scale ! People who complain about it just don't how to use it properly ... It is so alive especially when you mix major and minor it's epic !!
Thank you, this is awesome!
Awesome as ever, man!
Another great one, thanks!
You speak truth 17:25 about the pentatonic scale!
Fantastic

That was so cool!!!!
Loved Rare Earth, I have the original MA vinyl LP, what a cover!
Another good one.
Welcome back Andy!
Really enjoy your videos. It is a breath of fresh air to hear somebody who knows how to play guitar and teach a song correctly. I have a request for a song that I have never seen accurate tab or instructional video, " I can see for miles" by the who
Thank you
thank you master son, you got good list,
Great lesson. If you like requests I’d suggest some bad company for a lesson some day 🤘🏻
Excelente.
Could have easily been a Joe Walsh tune.
Well duh. Never made that connection before, but you’re absolutely right.
that is because of the funk, you know funk 49, funk 48, funk 50 all walsh tunes
@@DoU12Rock yes. Please Walsh is all about the chunka chunka chunka rhythm
Funk 49 & 1/2.
You nailed that one. Now I want to learn this and Van Halenize it lol
Hey Andy...Just want to thank you sooo much for all your hard work and accuracy on all these song. Your an amazing artist!! Don't know if you have done "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd but you would be amazing with this. Love to0 learn another one from you. Im in my early 60s and because of you... Im back heavely into guitar again. soo much, went out and bought a descent guitar, a Taylor, to my small collection. getting ready purchase another one here soon. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! First Song I learned from you was, Landslide. It wasnt easy but hung in there with you and got er done. Dont know if i could have hung in there with any one else. Again thanks Just donated and did not see a monthly or yearly way to set up. let me know. CHEERS my friend!!
Jeez Andy, you certainly nailed the tone! What effects and settings did you employ when doing this song? Thanks, Garry.
This is Awesome! I agree with WOAT below! I didn't either! What a tune!
cool! i thought the title said I JUST WANT TO CELEBRATE GUITAR ON THIS RARE EARTH
Ray Monette also played on sessions for Hot Wax/Invictus for Holland-Dozier-Holland, he was on some of Funkadelic stuff. Also toured with the final Funk Brothers band.
I love guys that play the music exactly how the band played it. Nobody wants to hear someone's rendition of rare earth. They want to hear as close to rare earth or any band for that matter if you play cover music
Hi Andy I’ve been a subscriber for 2 years now and love your effortless guitar playing skills and your on point. Just wondering if you would do a guns n roses tutorial Don’t you cry.
Absolutely love your play list ..... especially the Canadian content. Ever thought about doing some Barney Bengal - Something to Live For ?
cool song selection. thanks!
That music always reminds me of a 70s cop show
do you think you would ever do a tutorial for “dry the rain” by the Beta Band? total banger. Also sweet video dude
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Please do CLOSER TO THE HEART 🙏🏻
Forgot what incredible song this was! Wow! Is Andy back or is this a replay?
Hi, Always so helpful !!! Would you consider "Let there be music"? J Van Zant or Orleans versions! Thanks!!!
Have you ever considered creating karaoke music? I loved singing along with this just now!
Let's check it out.
Hi Andy, I love your videos. If you get around to it, would you do a lesson of The Road by Danny O’ Keefe? Thanks, Colton
Great episode. Killer song. But, the big question......How do you produce the feedback at the very beginning of the song. If you're doing it live, it would be so cool to include that. Great job!
Always a great work. I’d love a video of "A Matter Of Trust" by Billy Joel. do you think you can work on it? thank you. Carlo, from Italy
Excellent! Thank You!
Just watched your great "Brown Sugar" vid. I struggle with trying to get Tone right some help on that would make the videos more amazing.Thanks.
Please do Carolina in my Mind good sir 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Absolutely killer Love these songs. Makes me glad I play guitar. Thank you!
How about some contemporary-ish country with the rock edge - Brad Paisley and Keith Urban Start a Band? Lots of good licks to work on.
Please do some Jethro Tull tunes! A New Day Yesterday, Mother Goose, My God, Weathercock, Moths...
Hi! Can you do a lesson on "Don't Take Me Alive" by Steely Dan?
Hi Andy is there any chance you could do a lesson for drag racer by the Doug wood band (Doug played all the instruments himself so I believe), there are so many versions on UA-cam and they all play them in a different way.
What gear do you use to get that sound? Do you use DiMarsio pickups?
👍👍👍👍
My apologies if you don't take requests but if you do, could you please do Constitution by Badfinger? Many Thanks friend!
❤️🙏🎶🎵🎸🎼✌️👌
How do you REALLY feel about the pentatonic scale?
