YES!!! I saw Rare Earth open for Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and Rare Earth tore it up! Celebrate was one of the best songs I have seen at a live show! Amazing!
I saw Rare Earth at an Earth Day Celebration in Sacramento 20+ years ago, playing on the State House grounds. When the line came up, "I put my faith in the People and the People let me down", the whole time the drummer was singing he had his thumb jerked back behind him indicating the politicians in the State House. Complete class and never forgotten😅!
CORRECT and no body walked,we'd give anyone a ride,it was the code, ass, grass or gas money, fuel was cheap and the girls were normal, perverts got beat up,and rare earth rocked the world, genius band saw them live 13 times, they actually put them in one block west kcks people were outside and the cops were dancing with everyone, yeah it was a better time, with normality
Back when the older generations didn't constantly whine about how music was better before Elvis and The Beatles ruined everything with their noisy rock n roll! Back in the good ol' days!! Oh wait, apparently older generations are still whining.

No gimmicks, no fancy stage, no auto tune, just pure and raw talent. and best of all, no flipping cell phones. I am so thankful that I was a teenager and very much into this music in the 70’s. This for me is insanely good and I will appreciate it for ever. ❤️
Saw them, War & Vanilla Fudge in the early 80s at The Channel in Boston. I was 16 with the WORST fake I.D ever & the guy just laughed & said have fun kid. Ahh the good ol' days.
Second drummer couldn't keep up the groove - I could drum better than he did at this concert. I've heard him in subsequent videos, and he did just fine. I guess everyone has a bad night or two. Peter was/is ALWAYS in the groove. A great rendition of a great song.

One of the most underrated bands of the early 70's. They were great live in concert.

This is my favorite song of ALL TIME - an anthem of my life that NEVER gets old.
Today's music ain't got the same soul! Well said and they nailed it!

I just hope no rap shit has any of this melody/lyrics added to their music, today's shit will never hold up a candle to this group.
No stupid cell phones in the air just everyone clapping having a great time ! When people actually were nice to one another and talked to each other!!

When bands could rock. Garbage today. This is worth 2 million views!
That song is a great piece of funk/rock from this great band. Rare Earth was a great band live. RIP Gil Bridges, Mark Olson and Eddie Guzman...
WE NEED THIS AGAIN
The BEST Happy Birthday song!
One of the last conversations with my mom she told me about dancing at a Rare Earth concert in Atlanta in the 70s.
Ray, Eddie, Peter, Mark, Mike and Gil at the very TOP of their game....Fantastic and some.....
Oh to have been there!! Love This Song!! ♥️ 🎧 ♥️
One of the greatest songs ever
These guys are brilliant. What a happy song. ❤❤❤
Incredible band. They existed in a forgotten place in music, but they were one of the best ever!
They were having church up in there ! ❤❤❤

Well I put my faith in the people but the people let me down - I can't be bothered with sorrow and I can't be bothered with hate
Peace and love 😊
One of the most incredible performances ever. The same gig they did to thousands of people at big concerts. Helluva sock hop!
Love me some Rare Earth everyday, the only White Band signed by Motown
Thought they were black, 1st video iv seen😊
There were others. However, they were the only white band to be successful from the label.
I really love ❤️ Rare Earth, from day one! Incredible Rare footage I've never seen, thank you.
Bin glücklich in meiner Jugend solch eine Musik gehabt zu haben ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love seeing that everyone couldn't help but stand.
So good 👍
One of the most underrated bands of all time
I saw them play at the Lake Front Theater in Mandeville, Louisiana on the Northshore of Lake Pontchatrain.
Saw them, War & Vanilla Fudge in the early 80s at The Channel in Boston. I was 16 with the WORST fake I.D ever & the guy just laughed & said have fun kid. Ahh the good ol' days.
Brilliant !
How is this band that was signed to Motown not in Rock n Roll Hall.
They hit all aspects of what this establishment is
The same with Ian Hunter. His piano is there...Cleveland rocks!
Awesome
awesome...shame they didn't show any of that outro guitar solo
I Love it, Sat Feb 10 2:20 PM
The best show live
Así q es ley de vida todo cambia en el camino vacila q son recuerdos valen oro
he esperado mas de 50 años para ver este video , grasias
Here in the us in the 70s rock concerts arguably replaced baseball as the natl pastime
This is how we did it
Yep
Одна из лучших групп всех времен и народов💯👍👍👍👍👏🤟
Peter Rivera from Detroit yeah
The band is from Detroit.
All of you are here and I am there with RARE EARTH & ALL YOUR STAFF and also with your FANS. You and me ARE CELEBRATE... Greetings 🙏☮️🙏🕊️🙏☮️🙏 3:40
Love the drummer’s tour around the stadium! Thought he was gonna grab the lead guitar
Cal Jam was pretty cool
So good….rock at its peak.
A party anthem.
Ive been listening to Rare Earth my whole life and IZ thought they wuz black
They're very soulful
Apparently they were the first white act signed by Motown
@@damamae950And one of the few. You can hear why!
The Random Drummer.
The year my only brother, Buzz, was born!
One of my favorite bands!
Oh shit, I saw me good ol’ fucking cowbell up in that place. The first white band that had commercial success with a Motown contract.

1973, correct?
It’s no wonder they were signed to Motown (albeit with their own label).
This when I saw them in Sacramento,s Memorial Auditorium in 1974, was a jr. in High school.

Buenos los chicos...pero el tema😢😮
I bet barry gordy was good to them
Many Anglo Saxons look very awkward trying to clap...
Not a single goddamned cell phone is sight. It was really like that.
