I just started using pro tools I been using FL my whole life recording then I upgraded to Logic Pro it’s so easy vocal comping on their and I got use to it!! but I’ve been trying to figure out how to do it on pro tools you exactly explained it how I was looking for to see thank you so very much you got a subscriber!
Super helpful video! I sound design in ProTools (which doesn't usually require much playlist interaction) and do music production in Cubase, but recently switched totally over to PT and then realized I basically don't know anything about comping in PT. lol. So this was just what I needed as I stare down a million playlists. Thank you!
Can you tell us the hotkeys to toggle up/down between which playlist is solo'd, as well as the hotkey to promote the selected region/clip up to the TOP comp track? thanks
Thanks! Merci pour cette video Emily! Oui, c'est tres proche de ce que propose Studio One effectivement😉 le plus difficile sera de se dire lors de l'enregistrement : "stop ! It's enough now! I have to mix!"😂 thank you so much Emily! I think I will use it also for my electric guitar solo! (I am a beginner). Another Great tutorial!👏 Kiss from France!
How come when I record over a recorded track, it replaces it instead of going to a playlist? And when I’m comping 3 tracks/playlist, the newly recorded track does have its own slot. It’s just in the composite track?

Very good video. Thank you! Will be rewatching
Very similar to the process of comping in Studio One, so useful advice for more than ProTools users. TY
That's awesome!

I’m having the same problem, it doesn’t separate them, it just records over the previous recorded track 😢
