- A Challenge run to try and beat Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, I went for a more edited approach and would appreciate some feedback!
This acts as a Walk through for people to attempt this challenge, with commentary explaining my thought process.
Wrath of Heaven is that one Tenchu game everyone knows that FromSoftware Published. Also on the Xbox as Tenchu: Return from Darkness

Sekiro was going to be a new tenchu in early stages of development iirc, so that definitely tracks

I love this franchise. I really wish we could get a modern Tenchu game, especially since last I heard From Software still hold the rights to it. I'm picturing something somewhere between Dishonored and Sekiro. Ah, to dream.
I would love to pilot riikimaru again. Sekiro was initially a tenchu concept if I remember correctly.

Impressive, indeed a very difficult challenge. I think that perhaps only 2 Challenges related with this game will be impossible: 1) Beating the game without the grappling hook, and 2) Beating the game as a pacifist.

Without a grappling hook is indeed impossible. It's what I tried at first.
I do have some other ideas for Tenchu challenges. But that's for another time.

Thanks! I have always had a soft spot for the Tenchu series. There is something quite comfy about this era of games. That and I have always loved stealth games in general
@@sirrando I know what you mean dude, I can't tell you how many hours I poured into this game on my old fat PS2 (RIP). This was probably my favorite Tenchu with Z coming in a close second.

Great gameplay man, just discovered you today and been watching all your stuff since early morning haha. Do you record on original console or is it emulated?
Depends. I want to go original hardware only. But I have been struggling with getting nice footage out of my PS2. When I recorded tenchu my initial tests were just too dark. So this and ape escape 2 were both emulated. Which is a real shame as its just not that accurate

I really, really wish a new Tenchu was released. I remember playing Tenchu Z online on the 360 for hoooours n hours. Sekiro was great but man I miss being Tesshu ripping spines out lol
tesshu was super cool. as a kid I would always use cheats to unlock him and play as him on the wrath of heaven because I rented the game multiple times and didn't own it until much later
This tenchu is good but tenchu 2 is the best.
Any game that you can crash by luring a shark onto a landmine is 10/10

Back when you had to play games to unlock content. Cannot explain how surprised I was after I got that last grand master and went to pick a character and there was a third, and let's be honest the best, ninja available for selection with his own set of missions

Dont know if this has been mentioned before, but Hold L1, L2, R1, R2, start and select (during gameplay) soft resets the game back to menu

@sirrando yh I just watch your vid on Tenchu, sucks. I was willing with the power of my mind for you to do this, I have played Tenchu in the past and obsessed over "grand master" title during my play throughs. Helped alot with me, still frustrating as heck when I get 95% through a level and make a mistake, get seen then I have to do that reset code.
