I'm blown away by this video and the amount of effort you put into it. Acid 2 is one of my all-time favourite games, yet I've never seen a UA-cam video do it justice like this. Fantastic job laying down your strategies for each room, what each card does and how they combo off each other. The Metal Gear Prototype Factory was a massive difficulty spike for me as a kid, and again as an adult playing on Extreme, and I can imagine that being unable to grind for cards adds a huge layer of difficulty on top of that. The 3D renders of each room and the AI's movement patterns were really cool as well.
Fun fact, this game can run in side-by-side stereoscopic 3D. As "Solid Eye" attachments for the PSP are rarer than hen's teeth though, your best bet to see this is through using an emulator and a VR headset, I used PPSSPP in Big Screen. (Which also works for Dolphin!) The best bit, you don't need a PPSSPP fork with VR support, because the game will already split the screen on it's own! It certainly needs some upscaling though and I don't remember if the texture bugs were fixed outside of the software renderer but hey, the novelty is there.

I tried emulating this the other month, but the card videos keep crashing the emulator 😢
Yes. But you can turn those off I the options menu (in game)
@@sirrando That's actually amazing!
Thanks for much, been wanting to play for ages, I was holding out for a remaster or HD collection.
[It a crime this isn't already ported to PC or switch]
It is. I would love to play both 9f them on switch.
Master collection volume 2, let's hope 🤞
kinda funny that normal is the *highest* difficulty possible
👀
Nice editing, i thought it was in game 😭
Most of it is, but any of the stuff with fancy lighting is a mixture of ripping bits of the game and blender
I meant official, it looks so professional
@@Kimarnic thanks! I will take that
Mg acid games were the best try portable ops
Portable ops was a fun game. I might investigate it in the future
i hope you're not dead!
I am very much alive
:)@@sirrando
The snake in this run, if you were wondering, is Solid Snake of MG 1, MGS 1 2 and 4, but not 3 and 5.
The others arw is Big Boss [from MG 2, and MGS 3 and the PSP one] And Naked Snake [who is actually a anon rando soldier] from MGS5
Big Boss IS naked snake MGS5 is venomous snake
The Snake in MGA2 is a clone of the Snake in MGA, who is not the same as the 'mainline' Solid Snake.
@@enoyna1001 XD fahk!
Should've known I'd fuck this up somewhere.
Correct, MGA snake is a non canon clone of Solid snake, That lineup had Liquid snake, Venom snake, and Big Boss/Naked snake aswell
It has great gameplay but the collection mechanics suck so bad. I still play. Im still missing cards… and I’ve been using cheats for infinite credits for years. If your goal is collecting, don’t waste your time. Story is ok, gameplay is fun. Would love to have on Nintendo Switch
The singles shop is your friend, some of the extra cards from the arena also help, also, make sure you play on a NG+ save that actually has access to the extra cards after unlocking all the upgraded shops.
and... check a list, make sure your not just missing the upgraded versions of cards you already have. There is a 100% save on speedrun.com aswell if you want to have a look. and there is a card upgrade guide on gamefaqs.com
please do more
That's my plan. About to start on my next video!
@@sirrando woooo hell yeah man your contents great i love challenge runs and the games you have chosen hit a good spot keep up the good work chief
You sounded less enthusiastic this video. Looks like it took a real toll on you!
It was a lot of work! But, I was still pretty jazzed throughout, I'm still trying to figure out how to present my voice overs. It was a conscious choice to try to be a little more naturalistic
This seems like a very limited game. And they wasted storage space on takiyamas boobs jiggling. Goddamnit
Waste?😅
You should see the 3d bonus videos they put in then. Lol
Best mechanic in the game
Wasn't Ac!d on PSP? I played Portable Ops and Peace Walker to varying success, but never ac!d
Correct, it was exclusive to the psp
Thought so. The only ones I haven't played. But then I've never been very good at them so probably why.
Time to say a cursed comment, if Konami was smart they'd make a new MGAc!d but with gacha in it.
Incredibly cursed. and unfortunately incredibly true, I am glad AC!D was made at a time when in game advertisements seems hilarious and out of pocket
thank you for sentence mixing and not using A.I. being a metal gear fan and using AI would be so cursed
You know. I almost did. My head thought to how the colonel in MGS2 and how cursed it was.
But, after 4 minutes of thought and of David Hayter + Cam Clarkes thoughts on it. It felt distasteful to do so.
@@sirrando i think it lead to this video feeling a lot higher quality honestly. you can really tell how much effort you put into making this video the best it could be, taking no shortcuts.
genuinely one of the best vids I've seen on here in a long time.
@ReffyReflet thanks! That really means a lot. The whole video was a huge task and I learned a lot of new things doing it. Overall I think it took about 300 hours to make it. And I am very happy with the final result
@@sirrando 300 hours?! holy hell man, that is some dedication and it really shows in the quality of the final product
super excited to see what else you cook up man.
Wait, did something happen to the vods or am I just blind?
I unlisted them, But they are still in the "Challenge run Streams" Playlist which is public. I didnt like that they would notify people when the vods were made public public after I streamed

@@sirrando Oh, whew, was worried you decided to get rid off them for whatever reason.
@@Kaedevirus I like to leave them up, it's kinda proof I did what I said I did. But I did feel they were clogging up stuff. So this is a fair way to do it imo
@@sirrando I mean, yeah, makes sense, I was simply worried I didn't get to watch all of them after getting invested.
Wtf I never heard of this game
It is a good video game
The 'deep breath' bridge section was really hard to listen to, sorry. Also the creepy sex jokes. No thanks.
Otherwise the editting was nice and basically everything else.
I don't believe I made a single sex joke, you must have a dirty mind
@@sirrando Hmmmmmmmm *eyes suspiciously* Relatedly, I've been watching all your other videos and I enjoy them, so good job.
@@Neremworld glad your enjoying them. But, being honest, I do know what you were referring too. It came about more because I thought it was so funny that a 00s PSP game implemented a jank physics system just for jiggle physics
@@sirrando You made reference to her breasts every time she came up even when it wasn't showing off the ridiculous jiggle physics on her. And you made reference to the other lady's breasts too, who I don't think jiggled at all. The first couple of times it was funny but it became pretty boorish when you never stopped.
Basically you just ran the joke into the ground too hard, and it soured me on it. It wasn't enough to make me stop watching, but I prefer being honest.
@@Neremworld I agree, it was a bit. Is what it is, i suppose. different taste and all that
