This is the kind of stuff I like watching these days. I'd love to see you touch a game like Syphon Filter and complete one of them on HARD Difficulty without Rolling (which you need to do to not die in practically every circumstance due to enemies Headshotting you).
Syphon filter could be a good shout. I would need to replay it again, and see what would work in a video of mine.
What a great video, it's always a joy to watch your content, the "bartoli flare" bits were brilliant they stole quite a few chuckles out of me.

btw at 18:09 you actually can jump on the plane with a standing jump if you place yourself between fences, way easier than the flare glitch!
Now, I thought that might work because its 2 blocks away, but when I did try it when streaming I didnt get it. admittedly, I didn't spend that long on it. Skill issue lol.
37:10 you should be able to do the slope bug where you jump to hit the exact corner of a slope and a wall with a reachable ledge above and she does the vault/jump instead of sliding, very precise but should be able to get that secret :)
I thought that the vault up was too tall for a slope bug, so I didn't even try, good shout!

From talking to some of the speedrunners after the fact, it may be possible to do a void clip (just like Temple of xian) from one side to the other, but there has been no proof of concept done yet

I would like too. TR2 specifically has some advantages over the other PSX core games. I would love to do more, but I need a challenge idea that isn't any of the normal "NLNM" or extensions.

Pistols only isn't something I would explore, the answer is yes, it's even an achievement in the remaster.
I will be trying to figure something out for TR3 or 1 specifically.

It's likely because it was the first version released. Much like how some Japanese versions of games often have extra exploits. Or the overseas release getting extra bits and bobs

I'd like to add a point that Core's Tomb Raider as a hobby is quite if not very niche. I do not see much harm here, since if someone's intrigued enough to know the real and whole answer, they'd watch a video twice so long. If they are only here to get a yes/no, they don't display fascination strong enough to actually care (and will likely forget it the second they scroll and watch another video).

wow, how did you build that map room with the locations with TR like graphics ? which software are you using ? I love the explanations with the overlays from top view, it looks so smooth. Will keep watching but Im already impressed specially with the editing. Also , loving the ace attorney music at the first minute.
I did make that map room.... (ish) it's a rip directly from tomb raider 3, I imported into blender, and adjusted lighting and whatnot so everything looked right.

What an interesting challenge! How do you get the long-distance views of the level maps?
I did it in 2 different ways,.
Firstly there is this website:

And in a couple of instances that has bits of level sticking through other bits of level, so I also used the photo mode in the new remastered port
As far i know the flare glitch still works in remastered unless they patched it.

I was wondering how to turn on this top view map in 1:10 in the game?
That overhead map was with an extra utility called trview.
It let's you see the game with a perfect orthographic perspective, and that's what I used for that

You can go out of bounce for the level that you had to run in, speed runners do it all the time.
I am not sure that is the case. I spoke to the speedrunners, and theoretically there may be a solution to it, but after exploring I couldnt find anything, and neither could they.
It might be doablee someday if someone figures out a void glide

The crystal dynamics games (anniversary, legend, underworld) are SUPER broken, and you can go out of bou ds all over the place.
In the original core games it is doable, just really difficult and less useful generally because its actually quite slow to move oit of bounds. So it's only used in Temple of xian and floating islands (for TR2)

At 34:42 when you use the modified corner bug. Could the same method not have been used to get the previouse unreachable secret?
You know. I probably could. But it didn't even cross my mind at the time because I found out about that corner bug after completely writing off that secret so it didn't even enter my head

Sort of. It's only the underwater flare trick that isn't doable
@@sirrando I've tired doing the trick but I cant seem to get myself to clip in to the wall correctly. Probably just not getting the flare in the right place
It's really very specific. I wouldn't suggest to use it unless you want to spend a couple of hours practicing. However, the corner bug is really quite easy to get the hang of and will probably help you to smash the 6 hour time
@@sirrando corner bug is no issue. Had to know that for getting the unreachable medipacks. But with offshore rig I was just trying to shave off whatever time I could. Already saved a lot of time by doing the skips in bartolis hideout and opera house.

Sort of. I did miss 2 secrets in the writing room. One in ice Palace, and one in tibetian foothills. However, the rest I did t talk about, just straight up not obtainable.
Also, dragons lair and home sweet home have no secrets anyway
Temple of xian has no obtai able secrets, but I spoke about the ones I nearly obtained regardless.
The latter half of the game required bigger skips aswell as a few of the levels not really being full levels anyway
