Vibrant UQ Resonator 1141 2.5inch

Disclaimer: Make sure you match the correct piping size to the resonator size. For example, my Borla exhaust is 2.5 inch, so I bought a 2.5 resonator.

Bought a Borla and after a year or so I am very much over the drone inside the car. Bought the resonator you recommended, hopefully this takes care of the drone and makes the ride more enjoyable for myself and passengers on longer trips.
how is it? looking into downpipes after I already have the borla and I’m learning about how loud this exhaust is and how terrible it sounds with a downpipe. is it live-able now?
Mine was too loud and peak loud and raspy was 2.5K-3.5K deafening. Added the vibrant resonater and worked great.
Nice video, no bother. nothing is cheap now. Everything got more expensive.
I have a borla catback and just installed a invidia catless dp, the tone is perfect but it is so loud that i was shifting early af to keep the noise down 😂
i have the same setup but with a CTS catless dp, did you do a resonator to help?
@@Liam-qb7em yeah get the one he has in the description off amazon, it sounds great and keeps the aggressive tone without extra noise.
have you got the 2.5 or 3 inch?
@@jamesdejkovski1742 3inch
i shift at around 3k rpm in city traffic ^^
Thank you! I think you saved me a couple tickets. Currently cts downpipe high flow 200cell cat with 3” straight pipe it’s toooooo loud, I’m gonna try this.
did you end up putting it?
Have a 2018 GTI ordered a Borla S Type exhaust will it still be loud with the Borla Resonater? Thoughts ? Like it louder then stock but not too loud, thoughts
Sounds way better! I have the same exhaust (but it's the 3 inch version) with a downpipe and I'm looking at buying the 3 inch vibrant resonator. What clamps did you use for the new resonator? Any links for them?
@WonderWaffle according to the comment under this one, "yeah get the one he has in the description off amazon, it sounds great and keeps the aggressive tone without extra noise." im planning on getting this resonator because of the drone at low rpm and its just so damn loud with a catless dp lol. I think it'll sound perfect with the resonator.
@WonderWaffle hes talking about the vibrant resonator. im thinking about getting the 3 inch vibrant resonator on amazon bc its 90 not 200+ lol
@WonderWaffle i dont think theres much of a difference. its just not borla so its significantly cheaper. and probably not a perfect fit like borla
@WonderWaffle the vibrant one is like 90 for the 3in on amazon
so currently i’m stage 2 with a cts downpipe and when i first got the car i went straight piped(i know i’m stupid). would this help with drone and making it less raspy
It will help with drone but go with the resonator everyone on the mk7 forum use and not the one he uses
Thinking of buying but need to persuade my pops. My question will the car last long if you modified like tune, clutch, exhaust and etc. but u maintain it well like changing oil and belts at the right time. So is it possible to last around 6-7yrs
Zayd hijazi depends on how you drive it
As long as you keep up with the routine maintenance then you’ll be fine. The only exception being that you’ll need to do them earlier in shorter intervals.
AnEvilBigfoot even as a daily driver? I want to use this as a daily driver car, but I tend to push the car to the max 😂
@@Zayd0o0o No matter how you have the car built out, it'll last longer if you treat it better. Even on a stock vehicle, if you constantly abuse it you won't get as much life out of it. I've had my 2016 GTI with APR stage 2 for 4 years and it's running great. I don't drive it hard at all.
These cars are pretty bulletproof as long as you maintain it and don’t hoon it 24/7
I have a 2014 A4, I have a test pipe, downpipe, replaced the first resonator with a magnaflow muffler, second resonator delete, and muffler delete. I want my car louder, with less drone. Do you think installing this resonator where I have my magnaflow straight through would help? Like just this resonator and everything else straight pipe (with borla resonated tips)?
for less almost no drone would you recommend catted dp to 1141 to small mufflers? or catted dp to res delete to two 1140's in place of mufflers? idk if bottle style mufflers even do anything ? plz help thanks
Yes, essentially my setup. Just do the 1141 to small mufflers.
What size in/outlet should I get if my car is straight piped muffler and resonator for my 2020 gti?
Alright so I really just want a little more sound (nothing crazy) vs stock and I’m really hesitant to tune my GTI yet since it’s brand new, but I’m stuck on deciding between a catted and resonated downpipe or the Borla exhaust with the resonator. I honestly don’t really want an aggressive sound, but I think the car is a little too quiet stock. Thoughts?
I got a arm catless resonated downpipe and it’s dumped atm sounds like ass but definitely a lotttt faster but I’m going with a 3 inch straight pipe and a vibrant resonator this weekend
From what I’ve heard high flow and catless is only a couple horsepower difference just go high flow
You're selling the car? What are you going to buy?
I've been debating on a borla s type 2.5 inch for my mk7 for like a year, still haven't pulled trig because I'm afraid of the drone lol (Fully stock though).
If you are stock then dont worry about drone. The second you get a downpipe is when drone becomes a worry. Just a catback should be 100% fine.
I have a muffler and resonator delete with cts catted downpipe right now. It’s super loud and raspy and even makes obnoxious noises when doing pulls, do you think the vibrant resonator will help it not make those noises and be less obnoxious ?
Also did you experience less burbles after putting the resonator on? Thanks
Did you ever figure this out lol , I have the same issue
@@shabba_shark3560 I just let the exhaust break in. It sounds much better now and I wanted loud but If you don’t want loud then I suggest buying a vibrant ultra quiet resonator for like $80 on Amazon
I have the same set up and pops and bangs sounds super nice but the drone is actually insane when you get around 3k rpm (whole car vibrates).. still debating on buying a resonator or putting my stalk resonator back in.. I still want loud but something that will take the drone away !!!???and pops good
@@iamtony7026 did u do it
Catted or catless?
VW recommended that Downpipe and intake with jb4 is all you need
Mstylus 10 I wouldn’t even bother with an intake. Just do a better filter and take the snow guard out of the air box. If you really want, grab a euro block-off plate for the inlet duct.
@@FinalFormation for some odd reason, the mk7s down here at SA. We don't have snow guards, it's mesh that isn't removable
that’s the same exact setup I have!
Hey Pete, just went catless with the same borla exhaust today and I will tell you it is way to loud. I was really excited and now I’m super disappointed and unhappy with my set up. I spent a lot of money and not satisfied. So thank you a lot for this video. I am really hoping this resonator works because as of right now I don’t even want to drive my car :(.
Any luck with it?
How does it sound now bro?
how does it sound?
I think he died @@otiyairjara449
You know how to push your side mirrors in ?
yes, on the S3 they fold in when locked
NewEnglandPete what bout on the gti my friend got a 2015 one & he don’t know how to push them in
Dont sell just buy a new car!
Mk7 por vida
UA-cam doesnt pay me enough to have two cars! 😂
@@NewEnglandPete are you getting paid at 3k views?
You wont! 💪🤟
That’s 100 likes haha
I know! I am planning on how to take off the resonator without a proper lift. Initially I was going to take it to a local buddies shop... but coronavirus happened. Stay tuned!
I'm a long time follower and own a GTI and I'm just wondering how your back seats are so wrinkeled here
From having them folded down prior.
