I've got a 15 GTI with Godspeed springs, 034 Motorsports rear sway bar, 18×8.5 Enkei, Falken Azenis, and Stage 1 tune. It's slow, but it rides like a champ. They're just heavy cars, but they don't beat ya up on the street like others do

I love it, OBDeleven is a must tho. Maintenance isn’t too much but feels more expensive than I was used to. Those $600 trans flushes every 40k 😂 I haven’t had any major issues with my 17 GTI Sport. Constantly smells like coolant a bit cause of the plastic water pump housing 🙃
I wonder if the Borg Warner turbo would help with traction? See the bigger turbo has a slower spool and moves the torque a little higher in the powerband.
@@WackSmackAttack a custom tuned is20 on e85 is quicker and faster than a ots is38 on pump. Its more fun because the turbo spools quicker and you have more useable power when carving corners and autocross instead of top end oriented like is38. Custom tune is38 on e is obviously faster though.
I'm also is38 tuned/tcu United Motorsports on my GTI '15. Driving around you wouldn't know the power it possesses until you put the hammer down. You're on stock IC? I have the CTS IC and it's awesome and affordable.

Diminish12 stage 3 for the Golf R is the EFR7163 turbo. This particular gti has the “golf R” turbo is38 upgrade. Some people say this is stage 3 for the Gti

I have almost the exact same setup, minus the boost tap. I have full APR. DP, intake, turbo inlet, intercooler. I am also tuned with the APR is38 map. I am only able to get to 343WHP / 379'#T. WHAT'S YOUR SECRET????
Those are good numbers! I should clarify, this setup is most likely 400 crank hp, not wheel. I’m not sure but I’ll find out dyno numbers for you if available
Fake news. Too stiff. Too much boost threshold and turbo lag. Plastic interior with zero convenient electronics. Bad mpg’s. Uncomfortable. It’s a really cool car, don’t get me wrong, but it’s definitely not the best daily. My IS38 GTI is very comfortable to drive, can fit anything in it for a road trip, can beat almost all V8’s, and can get 40-42mpg’s on the Hwy while doing all this
Without watching the video: No, it's not. The FED blows it. For a daily driver you absolutely need 4wd. As soon as it rains or snows, any FWD or RWD sucks donkey dick. I currently drive a 280 Cupra ST with Stage1+ (about 380hp) and even in dry conditions that thing spools like crazy. A 4WD (Golf R i.e.) with 400-450hp) would be the perfect daily.
Jealous of you mk7+ guys. On the mk6 K04's cost as much as the hybrid turbos on the mk7s for some reason. You want a hybrid TTE on a mk6, then that costs near the amount of fully bloody turbo on a mk7 would cost.

United Motorsports is38 tune puts down more power then APR. about 400-410 to the wheels. You have power left on the table using APR.
