Install walkthrough with before and after clips of vibrant resonator to eliminate my exhaust drone. Huge thanks to Jake from Baun performance for the midpipe!
Hello Jake, do you think going this configuration: Catless downpipe and borla resonator, stock muffler. Would help to reduce the drone? or it must be the vibrant resonator? Thaaanks!
Hey there, thanks for the comment. I think without tuning you might get a CEL with this downpipe. My car was tuned before Cobb removed the ability to disable cat efficiency codes, so my rear sensor is unplugged and there is no light. There is a very faint odor from exhaust on cool mornings. Once the car is warmed up, there is hardly any smell at all.
Interesting, seems like our ears are sensitive to different frequencies. I thought the oem mid pipe did a better job, the vibrant resonator has a deep drone in the lower rpms. Sound is very subjective I know.
This sounds great. So you have an additional resonator on top of the stock one or was the stock deleted already. It honestly sounds louder than I’d expect outside. Maybe all the deadening I did in my trunk has reduced it for me
@@Zakw17 That is what I understood too... But your question it's kinda confusing too... not bad intentions on my comment, only clarification. The resonator is what he removed, the box that way back (and it's not shown in the video) it's the muffler. He just did the downpipe, did not like the sound and added a resonator, and kept the original muffler. Am I right? because I also want to know @brad
sounds so good. such a tasteful sound mod. great video, Brad! very informative
Awesome job with the edit! Thanks again, I’m glad you’re enjoying the Midpipe

Really nice install video. Are you getting a CEL with this downpipe? Also, do you notice any gas/exhaust smell in the cabin from this dp?

Originally i only had the ARM downpipe and was completely stock otherwise. This replaces the factory midpipe for a much better resonator
Okay so your catback exhaust has the muffler and resonator intact, and you added a resonator on the mid pipe of the DP

sounds more boomy with the vibrant resonator
Is That vibrant ultra quiet resonator better then the stock resonator?
Did you already have the 3 in adapter from the downpipe or did one come with the midpipe?
The arm downpipe comes with both sizes. It worked out great because his midpipe is 3”
@@ghostinhere13 ok, I only ask because I'm interested in this setup but can't find the 3 in adapter that came with my arm dp, thanks
