I just bought a straight piped 335is and the first thing I did was take it straight to a muffler shop and got some resonators thrown on... My car doesn't sound like a Honda at 2k rpm anymore 😅
It's interesting those little bottle resonators seem to do a lot for sound deadening but the pitch is about the same as it was when it was straight piped. Maybe it was those pipes he ran.
@@thatslow4.6 you are so right. Inline resonators can give you the right sound and kill some drone, but it is rare that I've seen them get all the drone.
@@FiveBoroNative most people don't do the math, only way they'll kill all drone is if you do the math, have to know which rpm drone peaks at, pipe needs to be straight across and as early on in the exhuast as you can place it, etc etc

I like how it was quieted down but kept the tone. Second clip definitely better
Honestly surprised how big of a difference the vibrant bottle resonators make
"Factory converters" hmmm? I see catless downpipes 😉
He was talking about the secondary cats
sounds 10xs better with the vibrant bottles on it. just bought one of these & it was straight piped, cant wait to throw the vibrant resonators on

I would worry about fixing all those lights on the dash before I worry about the exhaust.
it's a 335 there's no fixing the lights

Probably one abs problem triggered all those lights
The first one was the best because you can hear the turbo when reving the engine up and accelerate to be honest
Straight pipe sounds good. But the drone and a rattle that every n54 does after you rev it’s followed by a rasp.
If you want to hear the turbo more, just get an intake.
All he needed was a resonator for the drone didn't need the do the whole anti drone piping.
If you still want loudness you do a J-Pipe for drone, But if it's too raspy and drony for your liking you can get a resonator.

@@treyhunter6070 can you explain a little bit deep i cant understand sorry bro
@@treyhunter6070 you mean if drone pekaks at 2000 to 3000 rpm we should add resonater near catalytic converters 😅😅
Looks like Vibrants deepened the tone, but those side branches are what really killed the drone....
That’s what I was thinking, I might just do a muffler delete with the vibrants and hopefully it’s perfect
That’s not a straight pipe. Very misleading title. How is It a straight pipe with secondary catalytic converters?
Basically is. It isn't much different since the primaries are gone.
Tbh I prefee the Vibrant res one, sounds deeper and better.
Bro that n54 had aftermarket stainless downpipes. Either catted or catless.
Definitely catless I did a muffler delete and have no turbo noise
@@RiotSquad Forsure you need downpipes to unlock turbo noise … check my shorts. I have a recent exhaust clip. Lmk what you think
I like it with vibrants plus deleting the secondary cats ... case closed
What does deleting the 2nd cats do? I was thinking just do a muffler delete and vibrants
Can't wait to get these installed to quiet down my flowmaster super 10 s down which sounds straight piped & drones. Yours sounds perfect
I need an exhaust that succeeds past 13 decibles fr
So guy go from stock to nice straight pipe and then back to stock 🤔
Same spoiler 😍
Another example of coming back to fix a "straight pipe" setup. Do your research first. Save money later.
I always wonder if a person bring it own part do y’all charge extra to install

You sure? I’m debating on what I should do. I’m thinking muffler delete with the vibrants.

Vibrants ftw
Christmas lights on the dash not surprise… it’s a BMW at the end of the day 🥴
Bet still runs better than your car. CEL is on due to catless downpipes and probably doesnt have the tune to delete the secondary O2 sensors.
Modding the exhaust generally turns on a CEL especially on German cars. My Jetta has a CEL because of an exhaust cutout
