MINI-Z MA-020 AWD Upgrades **Stage 1** Install and Test Drive
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- In this video we go over some of the first easy to install upgrades you can get for your Kyosho Mini-Z MA-020 AWD R/C car. Most of these upgrades by themselves won’t make a huge change in performance, but all of them combined make it feel like a completely different car than stock. If you need to see any part of the sped up install section more clearly, just slow down the speed of the video for normal speed. After the install, I show you how well it performs on smooth concrete.
-Also, I accidentally cut off part of the front one way install section but it's really easy just 2 screws and lift off the plastic cover.

Great series, just got my mini z and it's really fun modifying them.
Thank you, I hope my videos can help you out and welcome to the Mini-Z community!
Great video👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!
thanks for the vid. it would really help if you put in the parts #s. like
MA0254K,MO204,MDW024...ect. many thanks.
You're welcome and sorry forgot to add them, when I get a chance I'll add all of those in.
@@AirToGroundRCFPV I know I am several months late, but part numbers and wheel size would be very helpful. I have the same MA-020 kit, and interested in a lot of the mods you have.

That spoiler looks so much better than the stock one. When you say one of your prototypes are you selling them?
No sorry man, I thought about it but they are really fragile around the area where you screw the screws in and I don't want to be responsible for constantly replacing them if someone breaks them, so I'm scared to sell any.
Hi, do you have the video to use the led unit on R34 Skyline?
I have a video of my own version of leds for the mini-zs here ua-cam.com/video/tSKApS4mwDY/v-deo.html and I also cover them as well in the second half of my ma-020 stage 2 upgrades video here ua-cam.com/video/KY_CqX5rpv8/v-deo.html
Dose anyone know where im able to get 1/28 scale spoilers im looking for some sort of ducktall for my r34 mini z
Sorry for the delayed response, Garage Hiro might have something but most of his body kits are out of stock for good, I make and 3d print my own designs(mainly GT spoilers) on Tinkercad so give that a shot if you can
Drives much better
why only front camber? (i am totally newbie)
The front is more important for better steering performance but you can do both right away if you'd like, I added rear camber later in my Stage 3 upgrades video. You can do any upgrade in any order you want I was just showing some cheap and easy ones to throw on right away that help make it drive better than stock. Thanks for watching!
thanks for clarifying 😍
@@fluffynl3390 Anytime, if you ever have any other questions I'll do my best to answer. Also, hope you keep having fun flying as I see you are a fpv pilot as well! 👍
@@AirToGroundRCFPV thanks and yes , when the weather clears and spring begins. i will be in the air more than ground again 😍
Am I crazy, or did I just start too late? I just bought my first Mini-Z a week ago and I've been looking what it feels like everywhere for that narrow (-1) tie rod. And many websites that seem too good to be true. Anyone with more experience could lend me a hand, thank you in advance.
You're not crazy lol they seem almost impossible to find nowadays. I could barely find mine over a year ago and after I made this video it probably made people go out and get the last few left. It doesn't seem like any new ones are being made anymore so I'm sorry about your luck, there might be some left but you need to buy a set of assorted sizes with it and mainly from Chinese sellers on ebay or from aliexpress. That's all I can see at the moment, just keep digging through the internet and maybe you'll find the last one somewhere.
Thanks man, yeah I saw that set a bit pricy if you ask me lol but yeah I'll keep looking, I appreciate the time, I'll just keep watching your videos with a bit a jealousy haha
Edit: I subbed 😊
@@MrGerardGallegos Haha Thanks I appreciate it my friend, if I find anything you will be the first to know. The last option is to 3d print one if you have the means, I know it wouldn't be easy to design but that's the only other idea I can think of at the moment
@@AirToGroundRCFPV That's not a bad idea! Might have to get on cad after work, thanks for the idea!
@@MrGerardGallegos No problem man, glad I could help out
