You are doing an amazing thing! I am genuinely in the middle of downloading mods right now using MO2 since I am watching the 'PredCaliber' video series on it. It is bit of a bother (despite preds best efforts) so you creating such a simple way of doing this makes modding super accessible. Edit: I gave up on Preds tutorial because it was buggy. This is so much better!
I remember when I first started nodding Skyrim on the PC, I had a little experience from FO4 and SSE on console, but all the file folders where confusing at first. This will be extremely helpful for both first time and seasoned modders alike.

This is amazing. I've literally spent years manually installing mods, borking my builds, getting super frustrated with trying to troubleshoot, ragequitting, and eventually coming back to do it all over again. Then in just the last few weeks I discovered that both Stalker and Fallout 4 have automated mod pack installers that do it all for you. Of course you're getting a curated mod experience, but it's comprehensive and most importantly, stable. Thank you for doing this! Seriously, modders are the best.
Dude... i haven't watched this yet but no shit, i spent over 20 hours trying to mod this f'ing game to a playable state without success... only frustration and bitter defeat lol. I just rebuilt Starlight Drive-In and would love to stand in it. I really hope this finally fixes the mess of a VR port Bugthesda charged me 60 dayum dollars for!

@@keemmaanz1985 i have a ryzen 5600 non x and 3070 and it still can lag at certain spots with lots of foliage where it dips to about 45 fps. when uncapped it typically sits around 90 in all other places/indoors this is on 1080p
For those that might not have the NAC holo tape added into their inventory at the start, "The NAC holotape should be automatically added into your inventory at the first launch of the game with NAC installed. However, if you don't get it then you can also craft it from any chemical bench for free."
Going to install this today and right some wrongs. I played a lot of Fallout 3 and Skyrim prior to university. Then I swore off video games until I finished my degree. I've been putting it off but now I'm finally ready to play Fallout 4 for the first time! Thanks for all your work on this list!

Most of the mods I installed are to fix issues/bugs or have quality of life changes, but I steered clear of weather/graphics mods to avoid incompatibility problems. Seeing this, makes me exhale a sigh of relief knowing I won’t have to spend hours upon hours having to sort the mods out once I go back to playing Fallout 4! Currently playing Fallout New Vegas: Tale of Two Wastelands and wow I’m having a blast! For those of you curious to try it out look at Gopher’s install tutorials, he also has Vortex mod collections ready to go to make like 1000% easier.
This looks amazing. Currently downloading the pack of mods via Vortex, about 50% through the tutorial, leaving the PC on overnight. Finish it off tomorrow then hopefully an epic weekend ahead. On a relatively new save - just got to Sanctuary with Garvey etc - can’t wait. Thank you for making this so accessible. Subbed! 🎉

Was looking through your high end mods list to see what all mods are in the list and to see what might be expected. Toward the bottom of the list there is "louder rainy sounds", I have always loved the sound of a good bit or rain. I have been using a mod "true storms" and it is actually pretty good in my opinion. My might look into incorporating that mod into your mod list/s. I am actually going to use it in your mod list for my next playthrough.

I finally got the High End upgrade working after 2 trys. I had issues with the F$SE file loading as well as I started a new profile. Reverted back to default profile sorted out the download for the F4 file (Thru Vortex is best not manual) and all good now. Excellant video to follow
it's much better to pony up $7.00, took me a whole day to install the first half, and I had a few hiccups. As soon as I bought the premium, my bandwidth went from 500kbps to 50MBps, well worth it in my eyes.

Our focus is on PC, we don't have a console and often their limited by performance and maximum size. It's a tradeoff for graphics vs a quest mod for example.
This collection is excellent it really improves the graphics! Could you possibly make a list of mods that are compatible with this as well? I wanted to add on some expansion mods like "South of the sea," but I'm scared it'll crash my game.
South of the Sea is out dated, look for Atoms Storm, it's the continuation mod. It's should be compatible with this mod bundle, make sure you're running Fallout Script Extender as Administrator.
I used the Skyrim one of this first and am loving it so i was hoping you had one for fo4! I can't wait to play this. I'm just waiting for it to all install before going on to the next part of the setup.
Maybe Vortex has changed a bit since this video but there is no indication f4se is associated with launching, just the regular launch symbol. But checking version number in game shows it is in fact installed. Also I had an issue with mods supposedly deployed but in game theres no changes. I had to manually install F4SE.

man i tried the manual install without a premium account.. it took about 2 days what with sleep and life, etc. and then.. i ran out drive space.. derp. now i purchased a prem account and changed up my download/deploy folders. the dl is going a lot faster. you werent kidding.
I have questions: When I check Vortex for updates, I get 23 references to outdated mods (in December 2023). When I update them manually, Vortex reports 2 errors: 1. "Some mod dependencies are not fulfilled" and 2. "There are unresolved file conflicts". Can I only install the mods that are specified here? What do I have to do here?

Hi and thanks to the ESO team, I was wondering if I want to add my own mods after the Hi End Mod List, should I just add a new profile in Vortex and go from there? I like to run SimSettlements 2 and a few other things.
I noticed a few comments asking about faction overhauls and compatibility. These are the mods I use which are 99% compatible with this mod bundle.... FO4 NPC's Travel. (you'll actually see groups of NPC's out and about) Raider Gangs Extended. Raider Children and Other Horrors of the Commonwealth. Killable Children. (only needed if you use raider children and other horrors) Capital Wasteland Raider Pack. Leveled Raiders. (levels raiders with the player, if you want a challenge) We are the Minutemen. Gunners Outfit Pack. Gunners Outfit Pack - NPC Leveled List Integration. Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners. (now they're not just re-skinned raiders and will offer quests until you piss them off.) Super Mutant Redux. (beware the Nightkin) CSEP Brothers in Arms REDUX. Brotherhood of Steel Kit. BOS Weapon Pack. South of the Sea - Atoms Storm. (update to the original South of the Sea) America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave. Atlas Summit Redux. Fallevil - Paleheads. (makes ghoul hordes tougher and more interesting) Courser Crusher. (actually makes Cousers tough with special abilities) Mutant Menagerie. (fills the commonwealth with mutant animals, both neutral and hostile) Load in this order. These should help spruce up anyone's FO4 game, and are all quite lore friendly.
Downloading now in 2023, I love how they no longer require you to click download for each individual mod as a free user, doesn't feel like I'm getting called out for being poor anymore lol
Finally got it all done, it looks good. My one complaint is that this list seems to neglect the awful mouse lag problem that Bethesda deemed necessary to build into the game. There are simple mods to fix that, one is called something like raw input or raw mouse input. Having a lazy delay between mouse and on screen movement makes this unplayable unfortunately. It should be snappy and accurate.
I look forward to installing this! A quick question, can I install the "Micro Mod List", confirm the performance, and later install the 14 unique "High End" mods? I'm unsure if this would break the load order.

This is pretty lit. The only problem I have with it is that wearing goggles/sunglasses makes everything darker, which is immersive but also makes it a bit hard to see at times. I’m also impatient for the addons, checking the website everyday XD
Does anyone know which mod is making nighttime super dark? I need to remove it. Edit: NACFX was the problem. Either disable NAC or just don't turn on the NACFX part.

I'm gonna like this so, once F4 gets updated with the next gen patch, I'll come back in the following days and install mods. Last time I modded it was really a long time ago maybe 2016-17 (at that time I still used the old nexus mod manager).
That is not a good plan. The upcoming next gen patch will break lots of mods guaranteed. I would not update your game for months after if you want to use mods.
trying to do this in 2023 ill tell you ALOT of the mods end up popping up when trying to download and telling you you need to download certain ones individually
Without the ENB, the game actually looks and runs better than default because some mods are optimizing the engine. So with no EnB, I gained 7 fps on my system.
To anyone tempted to download this whole thing I spent half a day and got multiple "failed to install dependency" errors. Back to vanilla world for me 7 bucks poorer and half a day older.
don't bother, took my time to download all this but it doesnt even work how its suppose to, followed everything and I've just got low poly trees and huge forest popins everywhere

Nexus Premium is $4.99 on US, idk if that’s a sale or not but as of Jan 2023, it’s pretty cheap. So you can go auto install now

Having installed this, I highly recommend installing the mod High FPS Physics Fix, otherwise you will get stuck at computer terminals.

awesome video, but I think an update is required in the collection. A lot of the mods have updates
ESO for some reason no matter in what way I install the mod list, ruby skin always creates the black face issue. Only when disable it works for me

These should help spruce up anyone's FO4 game, and are all quite lore friendly.
Downloading now in 2023, I love how they no longer require you to click download for each individual mod as a free user, doesn't feel like I'm getting called out for being poor anymore lol

Finally got it all done, it looks good. My one complaint is that this list seems to neglect the awful mouse lag problem that Bethesda deemed necessary to build into the game.
There are simple mods to fix that, one is called something like raw input or raw mouse input. Having a lazy delay between mouse and on screen movement makes this unplayable unfortunately. It should be snappy and accurate.
I look forward to installing this! A quick question, can I install the "Micro Mod List", confirm the performance, and later install the 14 unique "High End" mods? I'm unsure if this would break the load order.
Great question. Did you ever find out an answer? Pretty sure my rig can't handle all the 4k nonsense but I'm still wanting to download some stuff in the 2k version.

i had everything working up until the enb after installing it my game now will black screen and close itself and i cant seem to find a fix anywhere.

Did you use the latest ENB version? There is a performance version in that release, might be worth trying it.
This is pretty lit. The only problem I have with it is that wearing goggles/sunglasses makes everything darker, which is immersive but also makes it a bit hard to see at times. I’m also impatient for the addons, checking the website everyday XD
Does anyone know which mod is making nighttime super dark? I need to remove it.
Edit: NACFX was the problem. Either disable NAC or just don't turn on the NACFX part.
First of all, thank you for making such a detailed video. I am from Taiwan and my language is traditional Chinese. I would like to ask you what I should do to make the game Chinese.
I'm gonna like this so, once F4 gets updated with the next gen patch, I'll come back in the following days and install mods. Last time I modded it was really a long time ago maybe 2016-17 (at that time I still used the old nexus mod manager).
That is not a good plan. The upcoming next gen patch will break lots of mods guaranteed. I would not update your game for months after if you want to use mods.
We'll see. I've already disabled auto updates on Steam so if mods updates take longer than necessary, I'll just wait until they're ready.

Look how far modding has gone through the years. I remember the first time that we can mod fallout 3 that made me sink 2000 hrs into that game lol.
trying to do this in 2023 ill tell you ALOT of the mods end up popping up when trying to download and telling you you need to download certain ones individually

Without the ENB, the game actually looks and runs better than default because some mods are optimizing the engine. So with no EnB, I gained 7 fps on my system.
To anyone tempted to download this whole thing I spent half a day and got multiple "failed to install dependency" errors. Back to vanilla world for me 7 bucks poorer and half a day older.
don't bother, took my time to download all this but it doesnt even work how its suppose to, followed everything and I've just got low poly trees and huge forest popins everywhere

Did you have to disable the high resolution texture pack? I'm only getting 40 fps and I've got a 5800X3D 4060ti (16gb vram) and 32gb ram
