You are doing an amazing thing! I am genuinely in the middle of downloading mods right now using MO2 since I am watching the 'PredCaliber' video series on it. It is bit of a bother (despite preds best efforts) so you creating such a simple way of doing this makes modding super accessible. Edit: I gave up on Preds tutorial because it was buggy. This is so much better!
I remember when I first started nodding Skyrim on the PC, I had a little experience from FO4 and SSE on console, but all the file folders where confusing at first. This will be extremely helpful for both first time and seasoned modders alike.

This is amazing. I've literally spent years manually installing mods, borking my builds, getting super frustrated with trying to troubleshoot, ragequitting, and eventually coming back to do it all over again. Then in just the last few weeks I discovered that both Stalker and Fallout 4 have automated mod pack installers that do it all for you. Of course you're getting a curated mod experience, but it's comprehensive and most importantly, stable. Thank you for doing this! Seriously, modders are the best.
Dude... i haven't watched this yet but no shit, i spent over 20 hours trying to mod this f'ing game to a playable state without success... only frustration and bitter defeat lol. I just rebuilt Starlight Drive-In and would love to stand in it. I really hope this finally fixes the mess of a VR port Bugthesda charged me 60 dayum dollars for!

@@keemmaanz1985 i have a ryzen 5600 non x and 3070 and it still can lag at certain spots with lots of foliage where it dips to about 45 fps. when uncapped it typically sits around 90 in all other places/indoors this is on 1080p
For those that might not have the NAC holo tape added into their inventory at the start, "The NAC holotape should be automatically added into your inventory at the first launch of the game with NAC installed. However, if you don't get it then you can also craft it from any chemical bench for free."

Going to install this today and right some wrongs. I played a lot of Fallout 3 and Skyrim prior to university. Then I swore off video games until I finished my degree. I've been putting it off but now I'm finally ready to play Fallout 4 for the first time! Thanks for all your work on this list!
This looks amazing. Currently downloading the pack of mods via Vortex, about 50% through the tutorial, leaving the PC on overnight. Finish it off tomorrow then hopefully an epic weekend ahead. I finally got the High End upgrade working after 2 trys. I had issues with the F$SE file loading as well as I started a new profile. Reverted back to default profile sorted out the download for the F4 file (Thru Vortex is best not manual) and all good now. Excellant video to follow

Was looking through your high end mods list to see what all mods are in the list and to see what might be expected. Toward the bottom of the list there is "louder rainy sounds", I have always loved the sound of a good bit or rain. I have been using a mod "true storms" and it is actually pretty good in my opinion. My might look into incorporating that mod into your mod list/s. I am actually going to use it in your mod list for my next playthrough.
I used the Skyrim one of this first and am loving it so i was hoping you had one for fo4! I can't wait to play this. I'm just waiting for it to all install before going on to the next part of the setup.

Our focus is on PC, we don't have a console and often their limited by performance and maximum size. It's a tradeoff for graphics vs a quest mod for example.
it's much better to pony up $7.00, took me a whole day to install the first half, and I had a few hiccups. As soon as I bought the premium, my bandwidth went from 500kbps to 50MBps, well worth it in my eyes.
I'm gonna like this so, once F4 gets updated with the next gen patch, I'll come back in the following days and install mods. Last time I modded it was really a long time ago maybe 2016-17 (at that time I still used the old nexus mod manager).
That is not a good plan. The upcoming next gen patch will break lots of mods guaranteed. I would not update your game for months after if you want to use mods.

man i tried the manual install without a premium account.. it took about 2 days what with sleep and life, etc. and then.. i ran out drive space.. derp. now i purchased a prem account and changed up my download/deploy folders. the dl is going a lot faster. you werent kidding.
@@alexsmith6322 yeah it's free if you want to deal with the cluster F. It's really bad honestly couldn't keep track of what was being download. Ended up deleting everything.
Geez. Just pay for a month. They did a ton of work for you guys to have a super easy install. I think they've earned your 7 bucks. I swear some people will complain about every fking thing.
Finally got it all done, it looks good. My one complaint is that this list seems to neglect the awful mouse lag problem that Bethesda deemed necessary to build into the game. There are simple mods to fix that, one is called something like raw input or raw mouse input. Having a lazy delay between mouse and on screen movement makes this unplayable unfortunately. It should be snappy and accurate.

This is pretty lit. The only problem I have with it is that wearing goggles/sunglasses makes everything darker, which is immersive but also makes it a bit hard to see at times. I’m also impatient for the addons, checking the website everyday XD

about to embark on my first Fallout 4 journey. Only played maybe 10 hours when it came out and im going to use this modpack for my first full playthrough!
Maybe Vortex has changed a bit since this video but there is no indication f4se is associated with launching, just the regular launch symbol. But checking version number in game shows it is in fact installed. Also I had an issue with mods supposedly deployed but in game theres no changes. I had to manually install F4SE.
This collection is excellent it really improves the graphics! Could you possibly make a list of mods that are compatible with this as well? I wanted to add on some expansion mods like "South of the sea," but I'm scared it'll crash my game.
South of the Sea is out dated, look for Atoms Storm, it's the continuation mod. It's should be compatible with this mod bundle, make sure you're running Fallout Script Extender as Administrator.
I only play on console so, this doesn't help me.. but I respect you and enjoy your content so I watched.. much love Danny, thank you for doing this for the people.
I noticed a few comments asking about faction overhauls and compatibility. These are the mods I use which are 99% compatible with this mod bundle.... FO4 NPC's Travel. (you'll actually see groups of NPC's out and about) Raider Gangs Extended. Raider Children and Other Horrors of the Commonwealth. Killable Children. (only needed if you use raider children and other horrors) Capital Wasteland Raider Pack. Leveled Raiders. (levels raiders with the player, if you want a challenge) We are the Minutemen. Gunners Outfit Pack. Gunners Outfit Pack - NPC Leveled List Integration. Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners. (now they're not just re-skinned raiders and will offer quests until you piss them off.) Super Mutant Redux. (beware the Nightkin) CSEP Brothers in Arms REDUX. Brotherhood of Steel Kit. BOS Weapon Pack. South of the Sea - Atoms Storm. (update to the original South of the Sea) America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave. Atlas Summit Redux. Fallevil - Paleheads. (makes ghoul hordes tougher and more interesting) Courser Crusher. (actually makes Cousers tough with special abilities) Mutant Menagerie. (fills the commonwealth with mutant animals, both neutral and hostile) Load in this order. These should help spruce up anyone's FO4 game, and are all quite lore friendly.
Love this overhaul. I followed it everything worked. At 1440p 100fps cap im at about 80-100 percent gpu usage on my 3080ti so im gonna tweak some settings.

i dont know if you read comments but i wanted to ask if you could add and make a tutorial for the fallout 4 upscaling mods like dlss and amds fsr i tried once before but could not seem to get it to work for me but it improve the performance heavily in the videos where i see people actually figure out how it works, this video was super great and this is the only time ive ever done a modpack for fallout that works

So far working great, sort of low frames but working smooth and looks great.

about to embark on my first Fallout 4 journey. Only played maybe 10 hours when it came out and im going to use this modpack for my first full playthrough!
Maybe Vortex has changed a bit since this video but there is no indication f4se is associated with launching, just the regular launch symbol. But checking version number in game shows it is in fact installed. Also I had an issue with mods supposedly deployed but in game theres no changes. I had to manually install F4SE.
Hyped to play Fo4 again. Sadly my game wont even start after following the steps....

This collection is excellent it really improves the graphics! Could you possibly make a list of mods that are compatible with this as well? I wanted to add on some expansion mods like "South of the sea," but I'm scared it'll crash my game.
South of the Sea is out dated, look for Atoms Storm, it's the continuation mod.
It's should be compatible with this mod bundle, make sure you're running Fallout Script Extender as Administrator.

I noticed a few comments asking about faction overhauls and compatibility.
These are the mods I use which are 99% compatible with this mod bundle....
FO4 NPC's Travel. (you'll actually see groups of NPC's out and about)
Raider Gangs Extended.
Raider Children and Other Horrors of the Commonwealth.
Killable Children. (only needed if you use raider children and other horrors)
Capital Wasteland Raider Pack.
Leveled Raiders. (levels raiders with the player, if you want a challenge)
We are the Minutemen.
Gunners Outfit Pack.
Gunners Outfit Pack - NPC Leveled List Integration.
Gunners Overhaul - Initially Friendly Gunners. (now they're not just re-skinned raiders and will offer quests until you piss them off.)
Super Mutant Redux. (beware the Nightkin)
CSEP Brothers in Arms REDUX.
Brotherhood of Steel Kit.
BOS Weapon Pack.
South of the Sea - Atoms Storm. (update to the original South of the Sea)
America Rising - A Tale of the Enclave.
Atlas Summit Redux.
Fallevil - Paleheads. (makes ghoul hordes tougher and more interesting)
Courser Crusher. (actually makes Cousers tough with special abilities)
Mutant Menagerie. (fills the commonwealth with mutant animals, both neutral and hostile)
Load in this order.
These should help spruce up anyone's FO4 game, and are all quite lore friendly.
Love this overhaul. I followed it everything worked. At 1440p 100fps cap im at about 80-100 percent gpu usage on my 3080ti so im gonna tweak some settings.
some texture packs said "failed to install dependency" what should I try?
@@fbi6540 idk i did the subscription and it download everything. I ended up getting rid of enb and my frame rate doubled. this is killing my card.
You should be capping your fps to 60...it's a old Bethesda game.

@@NateFosterSR "pretty easy". with todays hardware, duh? It causes bugs. Cap your fps to 60, or enjoy your bugs.

My GPU and CPU utilization are low when using this mod list, getting between 40 and 55fps. 7900xtx, 5600x, 16GB DDR4. I followed the guide exactly

Thank you so much for this video. I can do some of this on my own, as in find mods that work together, but it's usually so much of a nightmare that it's not worth it, especially when you don't have the time. I don't suppose you ever had anything for Morrowind? Or a suggestion for something similar?

i dont know if you read comments but i wanted to ask if you could add and make a tutorial for the fallout 4 upscaling mods like dlss and amds fsr i tried once before but could not seem to get it to work for me but it improve the performance heavily in the videos where i see people actually figure out how it works, this video was super great and this is the only time ive ever done a modpack for fallout that works
