I think LitR dropped SS2 support recently when the alternate profiles were removed so it's not officially included anymore?
Yeah. The modlist creator always had it in as a "I don't care for settlements and don't have a set of mods in mind to fix them, so I'll just chuck SS2 in and call it a day" sort of thing rather than it being part of the vision, and I think it was becoming more trouble than it was worth - apparently they were getting a lot of people posting SS2-related problems in the modlist discord and Whisky just hadn't played the mod enough himself to give useful answers, and there had always been an issue that going too hard on SS2 city plans in the modlist would cause issues (something about script load or something? Don't quite remember and I don't know the technical side that well). There's been some work on a lighter replacement where you just input resources and the game builds up to a predesigned state, but I haven't played the preleases yet so I can't comment on how well that works.
Fens Sherrif Department got cut recently (in the most recent prereleases) as well. Ended up just being too big and buggy and wonkily-balanced (putting aside the constant thing around the mod where some people have always had problems with the writing, and the whole AI player voice stuff) to keep. Same update also cut out some cave/dungeon mods that were just kinda meh in general. All makes sense but all these cuts together does mean that LitR is a gonna be little lighter on modded questing stuff going forward than it used to be (although there's still some of that in the list and presumably replacements will be slotted in once they're found and deemed good enough).
Still my preferred list, mind you. Does a lot of things to the game that I quite like, and the unique replacers part of it is probably the coolest bit of FO4 modding I've seen for a while.
just checked and this appears to be correct as of version 6.0
Thanks for pointing that out!
I actually did know it was removed and so I didn’t mention it in the script, then I must’ve had a dumb brain moment while editing and forgot so i added ss2 footage without thinking
This video is dedicated to my OLED TV my cat chewed the corner of and destroyed just this second 😐
Thank you for your service, OLED TV.
Bad Karma. Lifepath.???
Vs.
Bad karma play though.
No a cat bite before burn-in Noooooo!

Kill it
pretty cool how each list looks like differents worlds from each other. from barren, to lush, to desert, to snowy wasteland
Yeah it’s great, it’s a reminder why the modding scene has lasted so long
I don't even play Fallout, but I'm always up for a modlist video! Mods do make the game look more appealing though.
Thank you! I think a Skyrim list will be next, although I'm not sure which...
Thanks for showcasing my List Sandland man! I never thought i would be on your Channel at some Point in my Live haha! Great!
It’s a great list! I love how naturally Fallout 4’s map works with a desert setting.
Also, jiggle physics.
Wasteland Reborn is indeed one of the best running bigger lists I ever played and it is still actively developed too with updates coming out every other day almost. I honestly can't wait for 1.0 of that modlist to be released so there's a "final" version out and I can really settle into one of my playthroughs with it. Sandland also looks very interesting and I was surprised it took this long for someone to make a desert themed modlist honestly.
god thank you so much for your work seriously. i love modlists, and just do not have the wherewithal to put my own together even tho damn do i want to. you make showcases so elegant and give such a beautiful overview of what to expect. you're 1000% my go to cuz no one else can capture what a showcase really is
Aw thank you, I’m glad to hear it! I know personal modlists have lots of benefits, but you can’t beat the ease of a pre-made one
I always love these types of videos you make. Whenever i'm itching to play fallout or skyrim again. I always like coming here and watching these videos to see whats out there to try next.
Been playing Magnum opus v7, honestly its by far the best mod pack around, would recommend 10/10
I hope to do another showcase for it someday, my current one is incredibly outdated unfortunately
Stumbled upon your channel. I must say I really enjoyed watching this. Subbed!
Please do something similar for New Vegas, perhaps Wild Card, Wasteland Prospects, and some others?
I do plan on it, although I want to do a few videos on individual modlists first so unfortunately it'll be a little while
@@DroppedIceCreamMods Sure thing, I heard Wild Card is getting an update sometime around 20th of June so you might want to wait before making the video
@@efarys1918You literally don’t need anything else then the Begin Again modlist
@@Jvxino not everyone want ttw
@@Jvxino I used it for TTW, but didn't like it some of the stuff
Great mod list review! Definitely going to try Fallout Anomaly now, thanks for all the great info!
Thanks for the video, man. I'm a lot less familiar with Fallout 4 modlists and mods in general so it's a lot harder to know what a modlist looks like just from the load order.
Great video, thank you. I’ve tried a number of the Wabbajack mod lists, but my favourite is Life in the Ruins. I like to add additional mods to the lists and LitR seems to be the most “friendly” in terms of customizing the mod list. I used Vortex for many years, but honestly, MO2 with its ability to allow you to mod a separate game folder is fantastic. I have 5 different instances of MO2 set up for FO4 with different scenarios for each so I can change to a different scenario if I want to take a break from a particular one. I know you can have different profiles in both Vortex and MO2, but when you have 500+ mods, even profiles start to misbehave so keeping each one separate works for me.
Having played most of the lists, here's my short impression:
Fusion: a small low weight vanilla list. It's basically a vanilla plus. No big overhaul and additional content.
Atomic Warfare: a pretty much patched together list. The mod author doesn't really do custom patches and the list was removed from wabbajack official lists.
Life in the Ruin: the list I ended up sticking to. Survival but not hardcore. The most balanced list among all with no OP equipment. The downside is it has some bugs here and there.
Magnum Opus: a kitchen sink list with tons of stuff. It's good if you like as many contents as possible. But due to that, it's also pretty unbalanced. And being lore friendly is out of the question.
Sandland: just magnum opus under a different skin.
Fallout Anomaly: basically a list that tries to make Fallout into something it's not. I'd just play Anomaly Gamma if I want to play stalker.
Wasteland Reborn: haven't played it but looks interesting.
Beyond Horizon: survival but actually hardcore. Not my cup of tea since it tends to get tedious and grindy.
You might want to correct your information on Atomic Warfare. I don't spread my patches throughout two hundred plugins, as it's all consolidated into maybe one or two plugins.
This is awesome shit my man. I have been looking for this kind of video for a long time. I have only played magnum Opus and wanted to check another list.
Glad I can help!
You are a shining light in dark world of modding good sir. Thank you for everthing you do.
Happy to be of service 🍦
Absolutely phenomenal work mate!
rly good video thanks 4 ur work ! :)
Well that's extremely convenient that you posted this one day before I was about to install a mod list, thank you.
Great video thank you for this!
I have to say that your videos are amazing. Thank you so much for your effort. I really appreciate all your hard work.
P.S. I am starting Fallout 4 tomorrow and I was searching for a modlist to install. I ended up with Wasteland Reborn.
HES BACKK!!!!! Always look forward to your videos, i know it not easy at all but thank you :)
Thank you!! And I’m glad to hear it; I wish I could get videos out at a faster rate but also I see no use in rushing things yknow
Thank you. Really having a tough time deciding between "Life in the Ruins", "Magnum Opus", and "Wasteland Reborn". Looking forward to diving back into FO4 after finish FO:NV.
I hope this helps! It's always a tough choice, from all my tests I found Fusion, Life in the Ruins and Wasteland Reborn to be my personal favourites.
@@DroppedIceCreamMods Haha. It put the above 3 modlists on my radar. I originally replayed FO4 after watching your "2023 Ultimate Graphics Modlist" video. I plan on replaying FO4 after the new Nvidia GPUs drop. I'm leaning towards "Wasteland Reborn." Is the 2023 Ultimate Graphics modlist still the best looking modlist?
love your videos, thanks for this one!
Thank you! 🍦
wow. i swear you are reading my mind, I've already played life in the ruins and fusion. gonna do a playthrough of wasteland reborn. i was thinking "hmmm, it'd sure be nice for someone to do a review of all these modlists (as there are only 6 of them)"
good stuff as always
How do you play with new modlists? Do you switch as you please or do you have to delete the old modlists? I’m new to modding and am very curious
@CVM.J you just them installed. And load the mod manager of that mod list. The games files aren't edited or effected, so you don't have to worry about mod lists conflicting other mod packs
@@Jason-qx9hn thank you bro! Also if I use MO2 but want to switch to vortex to use a certain modlist, is that possible?
I've been playing A Story Wealth collection from nexus, and honestly having a blast.
Super stable, LOTS of new content, and you can also add some extra cool mods on top.
I literally searched for this 2 hours ago, and now saw you uploaded this comparison! Massive thx.
As of atomic warfare, heard it's pretty buggy and sloppily done, what do you / you guys think of it?
The way you described Vortex isn’t really accurate. Mods don’t download to the Data folder. Vortex maintains all mods in its own local folder, then you deploy mods which copies files over to the Data folder. You never have to touch your Data folder- if you want to nuke all installed mods, you just use the purge mods feature.
It’s fairly similar to MO2, which does the same thing but just with symbolic links and a virtual file system. I’ll say I prefer to use MO2 myself when I can. But my latest play through I’m using Storywealth and Vortex hasn’t been an issue at all.
Vortex also has the ability to use symlinks, though I'm not sure if it's enabled by default.
Really interesting modpacks, thanks for the info! That said, most of them are huge in terms of memory size. Wasteland Reborn from what I've seen is around 200GB download and install... performance doesn't matter if you don't have the space. Maybe I'll try out Fusion, and then pick some mods from Wasteland Reborn.
One thing I've been hoping to see is a hardcore graphics-focused modlist for FO4, similar to the Ro Modlist for Skyrim. Hasn't really materialized yet, sadly.
Also looking for this, might just mess around with anomaly and different reshades.
Awesome. I’ve been playing Fallout Anomaly for a while and it’s been a good time but I think I want to go and try out Atomic Warfare. What do you think? Any major differences ? Both are Hardcore correct?
Wabbajack mod list users are eating good for Skyrim holy, from NVGO to LORERIM to Wuudniik and halls of sovngarde, low key excited to see what you choose next to review ❤
New Dropped Ice Cream video!!! Yay!
Worth noting on the nexus collections that there is actually a tool to move them from Vortex to MO2. It's called "mod manager migrator" on nexus. Haven't tried it myself yet so I don't know exactly how it works but it seems to do fine.
Thank you!!!
Thanks brother
Atomic Warfare, my beloved
Out of context this is a concerning comment
@@DroppedIceCreamMods Thanks for letting me know that I'm now on a list somewhere.
Heard its buggy and made with lack of care, something you felt in game as well?
hey icecream long time viewer and supporter and i have a huge favor to ask if you find the time would you be willing to create a how to ultrawide mod video for those of us like you who use 32x9 and have to deal w the constant headaches of modding skyrim and fallout to work properly w them even more so with modlists on top. im sure the rest of the ulra/superwide community would greatly appreciate it..
Which one of these would be the best graphical modlist with vanilla+ gameplay?
Does anyone have experience with multiple lists or list outside wabbajack(although wabbajack is highly preferred)?
Personally I use storytell via vortex and found it super stable. I also still add a couple of mods left and right and with a list that's over 800 mods (750 from the collection + about 50-60 extra personal choice.)
It's so extensive and so much going on that I honestly don't know what's vanilla and what's modded.
PLEASE do one of these for skyrim, I mean I already have my modlist but I just wanna watch :)
Nice Video. Do the WJ mods playable with Xbox controller. Hope your tv is ok . i just noticed Burn in on my lg c1 from the workshop menu.
Oh heck he dropped the ice cream again
So which modlist would you personally recommend and which do you prefer
I find fusion to have better 21:9 support than most of the other lists. Been playing survival on it and really feel like I'm now just playing FO4 for the first time.
Can you do a review of the immersive wasteland 2 mod list?
Question about fusion, cant see the components of junk items in 1st person view, is this intentional?
Some of the links in the description are in the wrong spots lol.
The problem I always have with these lists is the additional weapons and armors which I tend to avoid.
Thank you for your video, is there a list of modlists that work with the newest Fallout 4 update?
Can you combine the quest mods of magnum with fallout anamoly.
What about Storywhealth? Is it good?
Fusion is the best, LITR has some horrific performance problems even dropping on me and my friends 4080s and ryzen chips.
Horizon Roleplay Edition was the GOAT. RIP
So, will any of these easily integrate F4 london?
No. As Folon is it's own standalone overhaul. It's like asking if skyrim modlists can include enderal.
no "the midnight ride"?
There's so many great modlists that for the sake of my sanity I had to draw a line at some point. Not to say The Midnight Ride isn't worthy, it's a great list. It's just that lists like Fusion or the Modular Nexus collections kinda cover the same ground
midnight ride is the only fallout 4 list I've played that isn't too jank for me to enjoy a playthrough, and I've played most lists on WJ over past few years
Fusion is superior, midnight ride is very minimal.
Storywealth collection is fantastic, the creators did an awesome job of getting the big DLC size mods to work well together.
War and Peace mods.
Ty very useful for noob like me 🤣
A Storywealth on nexus despite beeing on vortex ist by far the best list. It runs on very old system with still a improved graphics, lots of them optional (recommended is a i7 4790k and a gtx 1070) They have the most active support I’ve ever seen, many custom patches and mods created by the modlist author himself and his team. Official addon lists for survival, also with custom mods and patches. Community made addon modlists so get the green feeling in you saw in some of those lists or just a ton of new released mods, all with their own description if they fitt well in the original list. Guides for enbs.
It also always tries to stay true to vanilla fallout while adding a ton of new quest mods.
I testested some of the wabbajack lists and some of them are ok but not one feels as completed as this one. I had not a single crash, the list ist so now running with almost 800 mods on my pc with many mods added by myself and still runs smooth. Vortex came a long way and even though I still don’t like it, it’s wrong to say that it can only run smaller lists. It also hast full support for all Sim settlements 2 addons including part 2 and 3.
It’s sad how this list gets turned down in this video just because of vortex. It has over 117000 votes with 80% positive.
I’m actually disappointed that you didn’t give this list a proper look because it beats most wabbajack lists by far. Also it’s far easier to install for people who don’t want to add their own stuff with their own mcm settings and a custom ui made for this list. There is also a minimalistic HuD which removes most of it which is so great.
Really disappointed in this video actually that you didn’t invest the time and instead sticking to the old "vortex sucks, not worth looking into" mindset. Starfield also has a great modlist on vortex.
A StoryWealth is the best Modlist for Fallout 4 and its not even close.
please next fallout NV
Storywealth? Where is Storywealth?
A town without lush and vegetation after a nuclear strike is bullshit made up by brothesda and people got brainwashed by it in my opinion, there is chernobil that is a proof. Meanwhile brothesda created a fallout (76) where trees, flowers and grass are back and have different biomes (forest, burned, marsh and such). On the other hand I don't know why ppl imagine grass so much saturated, it's hard to find a grass tint like Days Gone for example. Desert modlist for me is more immersion breaking than a whole forest modlist. Is not new vegas.
Wish Fallout was as easy to mod as BG3 and Cyberpunk. Need the mods to be personalized.
True but also Fallout allows for far more complex mods, so I’d say it’s a good trade off
Fallout is very limited, if anything is skyrim to allow more complex mods, I tell you one OAR.
