Have you tried any Speyside whiskies before? Let me know below. 👇 Don’t forget to download your free Scotland travel guide on my new website ruthaisling.com/
One of my favorite whiskies is Monkey Shoulder. Named for a repetitive strain injury once common among distillery workers, who turned the malt by hand, it's a mix of Speyside whiskies (originally Balvene, Glenfiddich, and Kininvie, but the mix is no longer made public).
Love these distillery-hops. I prefer the Speysides, especially Aberlour and Balvenie. It did me a world of good to see a Japanese guy running a Scottish whisky bar and a Scotswoman speaking Japanese to him. A bright spot in otherwise troubled times.
As a post-retirement activity I worked for a few years selling liquor here in Ontario. Controlled by the provincial government, most store have an excellent selection of blends and single-malts. With my ancestry going back to Islay, I quickly became the whiskey expert in my store, and would often recommend those peaty offerings as they were also my favourites. Your adventures on Islay and Speyside would be something I’d love to experience. I also learned a few new things. Top-notch as usual, Ruth!
I have been enjoying your videos so much since stumbling across one a few months ago, so now I am watching your older ones, and they are so fantastic, what makes you so engaging is the atmosphere of your videos, somehow, you are able to capture the feel and atmosphere of the places you show us. I think that is a combination of shots you choose, cinematography, editing and specific places that you are excited about which is infectious. Mostly though, it is you as a presenter, so charming and fun.
Glenfiddich was my introduction to single-malt whisky back in 1979 when I was a Yank going to the University of Reading and it's been my touchstone ever since. I've enjoyed many brands of Scotch since then (sometimes I want a smoky glass of Laphroig or Jura), but Glenfiddich is my default single malt. Thanks for this tour!
Cracking video. I really think the distilleries are missing a trick by not making "drivers' drams" or even small bottles available. After all if you LIKE the dram you buy, you may go on to buy more.
I totally agree. Especially as some whiskies which are now my favourites and I have bought more of and recommended to others are as a result of me first trying them as driver's drams - an example being the Kilchoman - Machir Bay.
Just discovered your channel because of the distillery tours and Scotland. I have been trying many Scottish whisky’s for the past several years. Right now, I actually have a Glenfiddich 14 year I’ve been drinking. After watching this video, I have a few more to try and find here in the states to try. I hope to someday visit Scotland and trace my ancestry. Thank you
Wonderful video and a great guide for anybody visiting the area. I know you have lived in Japan but I am still massively impressed by your ability to converse so easily in the language.
Thank you Ruth for a delightful video, one of your best. Lovely music in the background too. I'm always good for some fiddle airs. I have some friends who came to Speyside all the way from Seattle, for a month-long whisky tour. they still talk about it years later. Bravo!
@@ruthaisling Yes, in a month I'd have made a trip to Islay too. They claim to have visited all of the Speyside distilleries without side effects, but I've always wondered if some of that month was recovery time before they could travel home. 🤪
I grew up in Aberlour in speyside, beautiful village and honestly the smell of whiskey in the air is something I miss now I’m in central Scotland lol. Loved seeing you visit my childhood home village, and seeing the falls again was really emotional for me as that used to be my peaceful place I’d go whenever I had a hard time. Definitely would love to visit it again, I do still have friends in the area so need to make it happen!
As a Canadian of 🏴 ancestry your voice along with a few others/Niel Oliver/Julie Fowlis reminds me of where my people came from!Love your adventures!
Another interesting video Ruth ! Interesting in the fact that when I was going through my late father’s belongings I happened to come across a bottle of Macallan whiskey from the date of my birth 1964 and still in its original box ! It’s valued at £1000 pounds currently 👍 also one of my favourite films was whisky galore from a long time ago 😁

Thanks for the video. While on our trip to Scotland we visited the Edradour distillery, which is Scotland's smallest. It is located in Pitlochry, which we just found to be magical. Cheers!
That bridge was very cool. And the sign outside Glenlivet 'One giant leap for dramkind' made me chuckle. :) Did you know about the Japanese innkeeper beforehand? He must have been surprised when you first spoke to him in Japanese. :)
Oh wow Ruth! As a whisky lover, this is amazing. Speyside single malts & Walkers shortbread were made for each other. Some of the finest flavours you'll ever put in your mouth!
Highlander is awesome, great selection and very friendly - when you were saying you were headed to the region I was like *I hope she goes to the Highlander* and then you did!! So awesome and glad you had a fun experience!!

Ruth, stumbled across your post this morning and really enjoyed the viewing. I must say I was very surprised that you did not include my favourite brand, Glenfarclas an absolute landmark whisky. You are certainly a wonderful and captivating presenter 🥃🥃😘
Thanks for watching Andrew. I'll try and visit Glenfarclas next time, I tried to visit the big names that most people would know in this video. Why do you like Glenfarclas and which of theirs would you recommend?
Ruth I like all of the Glenfarclas malts, however, I do really enjoy the 105, with no more than a couple of drops of water, no ice or other additives. You are certainly a remarkable lady, I am going up to Nairn for a week in November and will make a beeline for Craigellachie, what was the name of the inn owned by the Japanese man? I always try to visit a couple of distilleries on each trip, my favourite being the very compact Edradour distillery near Pitlochry. ❤️
Another great post Ruth, I have said before and I will say again I was born and raised in the Stirling area but moved to SW Wales some 50 odd years ago and really love your posts showing my home country that I still have close family connections to......thank you......

Such a beautiful country! The bridge was amazing. The hike to the waterfall, the waterfall looked like a good area for a swim😁 And of course all of the very cool buildings and whiskey.
Hi Ruth! Thank you for providing useful information. I haven't seen the new site yet, but I'll use it as a reference. The landscapes of the Highlands and Scotland have a familiarity that resembles a combination of Japan's Hokkaido and the suburbs of Honshu. I don't know much about Scotch, but I think knowing about it will enrich my life.
I’m glad to have discovered this video! Yes, Speyside whiskies are my faves, when I can enjoy them; no rush etc… Given my 54 years of sipping them, they still warm me up and mellow my disposition! Sláinte! Oh yes, sign me up!
Great to join you on your tour Ruth even though a non drinker , I worked in the same shared office space as Benriach in Larbert many years ago before they moved and used to see their whisky bottles in the kitchen from samples
Ruth-san Congratulations on reaching Subscribers in six months since I started woking as a You Tuber in my hometown of Scotland. Delightful vlog of our favorite Whisky region, Speyside. Your production has good pace, capture is excellent, and your content is information rich. Our last Scotland visit included a private guided tour at Glenfiddich. We were able to take pictures in a warehouse, and we used a copper dipping dog to draw our own driver’s dram from a single barrel. Glenfiddich 18 remains our favorite whisky. Our favorite restaurant is Roo’s Leap in Aviemore, where we stayed while touring. We enjoyed touring your new website. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks also for the lovely fiddle tunes, especially in the Aberlour section of the video. An excellent choice of tunes, so I played that section twice.
Stuart Allan McNicol here (australian). your stories and travels make me want to explore my heritage. I think my family came from the ilse of skye but im not sure . Id never heard of the clearances before but it lines up time wise the time line of us coming to australia clearances makes a lot of sense which i had no idea about about until you mentioned it, 1830. australia. makes sense. Love your vids.
Thanks for the wonderful tour of Speyside - your videos are so full of great info and beautifully delivered - you are always such a joy to listen to Your website is also beautiful, clear and informative - a real credit to the developer, and a great choice by you - it's really professional, I hope it brings you more work like the Shetland ferry review, that was a great vlog and a great blog on their site too
I couldn’t look away the entire time you were talking. This is the first time I’ve seen your videos and i can’t wait to see more! You do such an incredible job at making us feel like we’re joining you on these journeys! Keep em coming!!!
The best sticky toffee pudding I ever had was in Busta House, Shetland back in 2000. I was back this year and it was just as good - because believe it or not it was the same woman making it - 23 years later!! Well worth a visit for the pud alone! Another great video!
We did a Speyside holiday for a week in 2018. We stayed in Grantown-on-Spey. The tour at Cardhu was excellent. I was also introduced to Caorunn gin by the bartender at our hotel, The Grant Arms. It was lovely! The Strathspey steam train is worth doing, too.
Thank you for this Ruth! Brought back amazing memories seeing the sights; from my 2018 trip to Speyside (stayed in Elgin). You live in a beautiful country! Glenfiddich is a beautiful distillery with all the flowers in summer, as is Aberlour, Glenlivet, Blavenie, Cragganmore, Macallan and Glenfarclas. Each distillery has it's individual beauty, uniqueness to it and being my favourites, they get drank often. Balvenie, Aberlour and Macallan all did driver packs back in 2018... P.S. I thought Cape Town had 4 seasons in 1 day until I visited the Highlands... no comparison!
Ruth, I very much admire that Balvennie owns and controls the entire process, from growing the grain to bottling - even their own cooperage 🥰👍❤️! It’s what, in business parlance, is called a “vertical combination” 😁! In the early days, the Ford Motor Company in the U.S. was also a vertical combination!
Wonderful video Ruth. I've stayed in Aberlour on two occasions but never visited The Craigellachie Hotel or The Highlander Inn...what a mistake! Will certainly on my next Speyside trip. Learned to love whisky when I started visited Scotland in 2016 (from New York). Lots to choose from, loved Islay, Speyside and Campbeltown! Thanks for your detailed take on all those distilleries. Well done,,, and I look forward to all your adventures.
Hi Ruth, love this video of you visiting the distilleries. My parents did this a few years ago, though I haven't been yet personally. My dad considers himself a bit of a "single-malt" connoisseur" 😅 & Glenfiddich is one of his favourites. I remember seeing a bottle of 64 year old Glenfiddich for sale at Hong Kong airport many years ago... It was better protected than the Mona Lisa! Haha. I thoroughly enjoy all your videos. 😊
Another great video Ruth 👍. A whisky you must try (if you haven't already), is my favourite...Tobermory. I think it's the only distillery on the Isle of Mull, in, yes you've guessed it, Tobermory.
Great video Ruth, what content you have squeezed into just over 30mins. The distilleries should pay you a commission for the advertisement! We have seen many Dutch and German visitors on our yearly pilgrimage to Scotland and also a few from the far East. We usually stay at a campsite in Grantown, which is a lovely town and it is open all year. I remember going for a shower in the evening it was minus 5°C, phew. It was actually November 5th!! Great news about your website, I will go and have a look after posting this comment. Cheers Mike🥃🥃🥃
This was an amazing experience Ms Ruth. The way u narrated all was very descent and understandable.I wish u all the very best for future.excellent Job.I m Mohit Seth from Delhi( India)👍
Speyside is what many think of when visiting 🏴. Fishing, beautiful countryside & whisky. Sounds a bit more commercial there but i like many of those whiskies As to not getting a hangover well not for nothing is it known as Uise gebath or water of life Ruth 😅
Fourtunate to live close to Speyside whisky region and have been on the Glenfiddich tour several times with visitors as it is a great informative tour.
When it comes to Speyside whiskies, I like The Glenlivet and The Macallan. However, in recent years these whiskies have become much more expensive than before due to tariffs and rates. But sometimes I drink these whiskies for celebrations even though they are a little expensive😅🤚!! ️Every time I drink one of these whiskies, I am reminded of how I used to go trout fishing (fly fishing) on the Huntly River near Elgin in this region. At this time, I filled my Skittles with these whiskies and drank them between fishing trips while enjoying the scenic views around me. There was an impression here that you can't experience only at the Whisky Heritage Centre in Edinburgh. It's a place I'd like to visit again and again. At that point, I almost hated going back to Japan 😅🤚Thank you Ruth for your scenic videos. These days, every time I get drunk, I think of your homeland.
Aye lassie! That was quite the whirlwind tour! They all sounded very interesting too! I'm sure Old John would have loved to join you on your whirlwind tour & have a wee dram or two right along with you. LOL.The Speyside area certainly has a lot of distilleries. It looks like there's enough whiskey in this lovely area to make another River Spey. Well, at least then, the tastings might be free! How long can you tread water? LOL. The area is so charming & very beautiful too! Just lovely! By the way, I checked out your wonderful new Website! The info & photos on there are amazing! Your profile & history is truly fascinating! You have really been around lass & indeed are a most interesting & unique young lady! But then again, we already knew that! Old John would be so proud of you as well! Thank you for sharing another delightful experience & congratulations on your wonderful new Website! Blessings to you Ruth!
John would have loved the Speyside tour but with all that travelling about he would have needed his good old walking stick to help him. It's always hilarious reading your funny comments! 😂😂

Very informative, I now have a much refined idea on the distilleries in Scotland. Its an experience to see those world famous distilleries which we most have never seen their factory specially my favourite the Glenfiddich. Keep posting
Hi Ruth. I looked at your website and yes they did a very good job on it. being a none drinker and getting on in years I will just sit back and watch your great videos. cheers Owen.
Good afternoon Ruth saw your first scotch tour and had my husband a scotch lover watch this I really enjoy how you research and tell the history of your videos but the best was the Japanese pub owner and 300 scotch’s looks like a super place and food ooshi take care see you soon 😘🌸🌺🥃🍽️🚗
Speyside and Moray are a home from home for me as I have been visiting and holidaying in this part of Scotland for 40 years. I have friends who worked in both the distilleries and the cooperage. I have visited the Spey to fish for Atlantic Salmon the only native Salmon species in the Spey although a few rouge Pink Salmon have been spotted in the last few years. The other sea going migratory fish in the river are Sea Trout which are highly prized also. I have actually fished the beat down to the Iron bridge at Aberlour without success but a friend who arrived late caught one on his first cast. I have also fished near to Rothes and did hook and land a 20lb Springer the most highly prized catch of all. I was never a fan of Whisky growing up but on my last night in Campbeltown ( another famous Whisky town) the locals put on a Whisky tasting evening for me. My favourite was a speyside malt matured in a Sherry cask which I did buy a numbered bottle and consumed with friends over a couple of very good nights. I did have a collection of Glenmorangie whisky many years ago but I gave up on that once you get to the point where bottles go for silly money. That was a very watchable film so as usual I am looking forward to the next one.
A shameless plug on my part. It was my first posting as a Bank Manager so will always be in my memories even though it is 20 years this past year since I moved from there to Stornoway. Our tasting was put on by the guy who took over the whisky store in the town that very day. I had met him in the afternoon in the Bank and had let slip I was not the biggest fan and he promised to have something for me. He brought an 80% proof dark rum that I can only describe as tasting like liquid molasses with heat. I did try to behave myself as the next day was the big pack and drive up the road for the boat but luckily I also had a removal company doing most of the hard work. Oh so many memories.@@ruthaisling
Appreciated the informative video of my favorite liquid substance.😉 This is especially helpful as I plan to visit the region right after next August's Edinburgh Festival. Thank you, Ruth for the beautiful travel guide which I just downloaded.
Beautiful presentation, and now I’ve heard *everything*: Japanese being spoken with a Scottish accent 😅❤️! Related to that: I have had Suntory To-Ki, which is, of course, labelled “Japanese Whiskey” here because it’s not truly “Scotch” (although it *is*, fine blended stuff) 🙂. I have some of The Macallan ❤️ - it and the Ardbeg An Oa are my two favorites, so far. Love Glenfiddich, which is the first single-malt most Americans encounter (believe it was first imported to the U.S. in 1962). Still the best way to discover if single-malt Scotch is your “thing” 🙂! I love The Glenlivet, also, but on a blind taste-test I can’t tell it apart from Glenfiddich 🤪. Most unfortunate that you couldn’t tour Macallan this time - I had read somewhere that it does require a reservation, as you discovered! I have an obvious question that I had thought you might have answered: Why are so many Scottish distilleries “labelled” with a whitewashed wall, with the name in huge black block letters? Is that a legal requirement? I had originally thought that it was a thing only on Islay, but I see that at least some of the Speyside distilleries follow this convention, as well 🙂. Now, I have to go find your website so I can read your biography - for some reason, I never think of Scots as being blonde, yet here you are looking for all the world like a Norwegian 😂 … until you begin speaking 🥰! Thanks again for another lovely visit to the Scottish countryside - I would love it all, including the rain, as long as it was Summer 😅! As for Winter - well, that is why we have Scotch whiskey 🥃❤️! Steve Dinges Mesa, Arizona, United States of America Note: Arizona is GMT minus 7, always, which is why I am hitting the pages at such seemingly odd times 🙂. It’s almost 6 PM on Sunday February 18 as I write this 🙂.
Thanks for watching the video from Arizona, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm not too sure about the white walls. I know on Islay they used them for the boats as they used to move the whisky via the sea.... If you find out, please do let me know!
Your videos are very educational with so much relevant information. Your videos are also very entertaining. You must have done so much research to get the right content for your videos. I have been following your videos awhile. Keep up the Great Work !!! BTW my list of Scottish Whisky to try is growing 😁😁😁
Very informative video. I drove up from Aberdeen to visited the Elgin area years ago, but did not go on a distillery tour. The area north and northwest of Aberdeen is a beautiful part of Scotland. I found out during a visit to Stanley, Perthshire that fishing is different than the USA. The river is divided up into beats run by a riverbank owner or estate and you pay $$$ for permission to fish the beat, usually with a guide. I like going places during the off-season, but you visited way off season. Balvenie Castle, like other Historic Scotland sites, is only open from April 1 to September 30.
That's interesting about the river and the fishing. Ah ok, good to know! There was a sign outside saying "open all year" but online it does seem to be closed during the winter season.
Fantastic Ruth. Seeing these places and following you on your journey is so nice. Just been over to your website which looks amazing, and I downloaded your (places to see) and am looking forward to having a good look at it. I used to go past Keith regularly when I was an HGV Driver on the way to Baxters now that's a place you should go and have a look at as they have a little shop just near the gates and you can buy soups very very cheap.

Another great watch👍
Have a go at the the wee mad road... Lochinver to kylesku... awesome!
The Scottish Whisky Distillers owe you some large bottles of their brands for the great presentations you bring to us. Slainte!
Haha that would be nice 😂👌
Such a beautiful country! The bridge was amazing. The hike to the waterfall, the waterfall looked like a good area for a swim😁 And of course all of the very cool buildings and whiskey.
I thought the same about the swim but it would probably be sooooo cold haha!
Hokkaido reminds me of Scotland a lot, especially southern Scotland 😀
I’m glad to have discovered this video! Yes, Speyside whiskies are my faves, when I can enjoy them; no rush etc… Given my 54 years of sipping them, they still warm me up and mellow my disposition! Sláinte! Oh yes, sign me up!
Thaks for watching Jeff!

Great to join you on your tour Ruth even though a non drinker , I worked in the same shared office space as Benriach in Larbert many years ago before they moved and used to see their whisky bottles in the kitchen from samples
Thanks for watching!
Ruth-san Congratulations on reaching Subscribers in six months since I started woking as a You Tuber in my hometown of Scotland. That's amazing, I'm glad that there are so many people who are interested in Scotland, There are some good and critical comments, but please introduce Ruth-san vision of Scotland. I will always support you. and my next goal is to reach 50.000 people.スペイサイドウイスキーで乾杯🍷
Thank you Ogawa-San!!!!
Thank you for watching, I'll check out that restaurant next time I'm in Aviemore!
Thanks also for the lovely fiddle tunes, especially in the Aberlour section of the video. An excellent choice of tunes, so I played that section twice.
Haha lovely! 🏴
That’s interesting, maybe there is a connection there
Thanks for the wonderful tour of Speyside - your videos are so full of great info and beautifully delivered - you are always such a joy to listen to
Your website is also beautiful, clear and informative - a real credit to the developer, and a great choice by you - it's really professional, I hope it brings you more work like the Shetland ferry review, that was a great vlog and a great blog on their site too
That's so nice of you to say, thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed this video too.
Hi Ruth ; just starting on my Single Malt journey; so this was amazing. Your energy and enthusiasm is fantastic. Many thanks Mark. 👍
Thanks Mark! I’m still learning too, it’s fun to try them all!
Ahhhh... Speyside, nearest to my home here in the North East! Thank you for visiting, Ruth. Haste ye back!
Lovely, what a great place to live!
I couldn’t look away the entire time you were talking. This is the first time I’ve seen your videos and i can’t wait to see more! You do such an incredible job at making us feel like we’re joining you on these journeys! Keep em coming!!!
That's so nice of you to say, thank you!
Really well done video, very informative, enjoyed it 💯 Greetings from Singapore
The best sticky toffee pudding I ever had was in Busta House, Shetland back in 2000. I was back this year and it was just as good - because believe it or not it was the same woman making it - 23 years later!! Well worth a visit for the pud alone! Another great video!
Wow, I must try it if I'm ever back there. Sticky toffee pudding is my favourite dessert, but so filling!
Another brilliant distillery guide by Ruth. Accurate, engaging and entertaining.
Thanks John!
That sounds like a great trip, I'll need to explore more of the area next time!
What can i say another great video Glenfiddich is definitely one of the distilleries i would visit i love the vast information in this video😀
Thanks for watching! Maybe they had all sold out of driver's packs. I'll just need to try them in bars!
That's interesting, thanks for sharing
Wonderful video Ruth. I've stayed in Aberlour on two occasions but never visited The Craigellachie Hotel or The Highlander Inn...what a mistake! Will certainly on my next Speyside trip. Learned to love whisky when I started visited Scotland in 2016 (from New York). Lots to choose from, loved Islay, Speyside and Campbeltown! Thanks for your detailed take on all those distilleries. Well done,,, and I look forward to all your adventures.
Thanks Jeffrey, definitely visit the Highlander Inn on your next visit!
Sounds great! More distilleries coming up in future videos.
Enjoying your videos I am Scottish
Another great video Ruth 👍.
A whisky you must try (if you haven't already), is my favourite...Tobermory. I think it's the only distillery on the Isle of Mull, in, yes you've guessed it, Tobermory.
Awesome, I'll give it a try next time I see it!
Oh yes been there 2 years ago, one of my fav too with NcNean ❤
Great video Ruth, what content you have squeezed into just over 30mins. The distilleries should pay you a commission for the advertisement! We have seen many Dutch and German visitors on our yearly pilgrimage to Scotland and also a few from the far East. We usually stay at a campsite in Grantown, which is a lovely town and it is open all year. I remember going for a shower in the evening it was minus 5°C, phew. It was actually November 5th!! Great news about your website, I will go and have a look after posting this comment. Cheers Mike🥃🥃🥃
Thanks Mike, there is so much footage it's sometimes hard to chop it down to 30 minutes haha! I'll check out Grantown next time I'm in the area.
This was an amazing experience Ms Ruth. The way u narrated all was very descent and understandable.I wish u all the very best for future.excellent Job.I m Mohit Seth from Delhi( India)👍
You are on a Roll Ruth! I lived and worked in Aberfeldy Perthshire! All familiar haunts that you are going to! Just Wonderful!
Thanks Mark, it was a great trip!
I've been drinking for years, and a lot of them you covered in your videos. But I still learnt so much more about their history!
Great to hear!
A whisky tour in Scotland is on my bucket list! Thank you for all the information you have provided.
You're welcome, enjoy your trip!
Speyside is what many think of when visiting 🏴.
Fishing,beautiful countryside & whisky.
Sounds a bit more commercial there but i like many of those whiskies
As to not getting a hangover well not for nothing is it known as Uise gebath or water of life Ruth 😅
It's a lovely area, well worth a visit!
Hello Ruth mick from Hull really enjoyed this episode hope you are well and I will look forward to your next episode xx 😊😊😊
Thanks Mick!
Fourtunate to live close to Speyside whisky region and have been on the Glenfiddich tour several times with visitors as it is a great informative tour.
Smokey an peated is the best ! im with ya wi your whiskey choices!
The best!
Thanks Ken, that sounds like a wonderful trip you had to the Speyside area!
And congratulations on your sharp new website. May it become everything you hope it can be. :)
Thanks so much!
@@ruthaisling My pleasure as always Ruth! LOL. Aye! 'Tis true! Old John would have loved it I'm sure.Hobbling along beside you there. LOL.God bless him! And you! Thanks again for sharing! Have a lovely day! 🥢🙂
I like this video as a single malt scotch whisky fan!
Great!
the lassie is right, i never get a hangover from single malts either

Hey Ruth I've been there back in the day xx 😊
Brilliant, did you visit any of the distilleries?
@@ruthaisling yes and I got a big bottle of whisky called sheep's dip 😋 ha ha 😂 it's only sold in Scotland
Very informative, I now have a much refined idea on the distilleries in Scotland. Its an experience to see those world famous distilleries which we most have never seen their factory specially my favourite the Glenfiddich. Keep posting
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice tour, Ruth. My favorite is the Macallan 12-year-old double cask. Congratulations on your new web site!
Thanks Alastair, I must give it a try sometime!
Glenfiddich 12 was the first single malt I ever bought. Even though I’m an Islay and Campbeltown convert, I always enjoy a good Speyside.
I love the Islay and Speyside malts too!
Thanks a lot, got to know much about the single malt whiskey
Ruth have you tried Bladnoch whisky nice cafe there another nice video thank you 😊
Not yet, I must visit sometime!
Another fine video Ruth, i have been researching this area for a possible future tour, so it was very informative. A very honest guide i think 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Love the tour Ruth! Enjoy single malts a lot!
Warmest regards
Thanks Thomas, glad you enjoyed it!
Hi Ruth. I looked at your website and yes they did a very good job on it. being a none drinker and getting on in years I will just sit back and watch your great videos. cheers Owen.
Thank you Owen!
Thanks Ruth, enjoyed these a lot, I wish to get to see other whiskey regions of Scotland like Islands thru your videos.
Might be an idea for more videos!
The Highlander Inn was so great, if you are ever in the area, it's a must visit!
Loved the video. I still love Lagavoulin but the Smokey Speyside looks interesting. Thanks so much.
It's worth a try!

@@ruthaisling As soon as I drank it, I could smell the sea breeze and seaweed, and it had a mellow taste.
Thanks John, your whisky night in Campbeltown sounded fun. I wish I'd tried some of the whisky when I'd visited there, a reason to go back I guess...
No worries, I hope it'll be helpful for you!

I enjoyed seeing that area again!👍👍
Top quality videos many thanks for making them, reminded me of my time in Skye and Mull last year😊
Glad you like them! Keep watching.
Your videos are very educational with so much relevant information. Your videos are also very entertaining. You must have done so much research to get the right content for your videos. I have been following your videos awhile. Keep up the Great Work !!! BTW my list of Scottish Whisky to try is growing 😁😁😁
Wow, thank you!
Awesome, thank you for the tip!
