How many times can one "restart" So many questions about what is going on that should be answered.
I have been watching this Gentry dudes videos since his boy bought that zero turn mower for $20 grand or whatever, thought it was cool so started watching!! Since I been in trucking and heavy equipment operation/mechanic for over 40 years as well I taught CDL Training at a community college until I retired. But I'm starting to second guess my decision watching this channel this Tim is all over the place from one video to the next and i really don't think i am the person to try and keep up as i don't have that many years in my life lol!!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✌✌

I agree never seen someone waste as much money as he does and still stay in business and then say things are tough while buying more trucks and trailers makes zero since to me he might make a good politician
Yeah I agree he said that he was gonna be a cabover type channel and he's always gonna be getting videos out every day but you get one about every nine days

20 years ago I owned a home with a 2 lane road behind my property and truckers would use it as a shortcut and the street had no jake signs up and down the street but one trucker just didn't care and every night at 3:45 in the morning that truck would come through there hammering the jakes with straight pipes waking everyone up. I had a 40'x80' steel building I worked out behind my house doing metal fabrication so I started leaving pieces of rusty scrap metal from my plasma table in the street right before that truck would come through hammering the jakes. After losing half a dozen tires the truck stopped driving going that way.

The trucks always need fixin so they need to come to the yard.

last week running tankers was the flavor of the day, this week its potatoes, also do you guys ever clean your windshields?
You don’t just start hauling with tankers overnight these things take time!! I’m always looking for something to make money and better my business that is how we have gotten to where we are today

This is all great. But my question when are you going to finish Weston's done, or is that another project that got swept under the rug. He must be a very patient man.
It was confirmed by Jesse on her UA-cam channel (lady that works for sh tube), that Weston picked up his truck 1 month ago after sh tube did more work to it. Tim didnt finish it, nor has he went and help Jesse and robs brother on his 379 like he said he would, even tho Jesse and robs brother busted their butts getting Weston’s truck done for mats.
Got to go do those direct customer loads. Forget that load board broker garbage. Keep on trucking!
Well what happened to the air force truck and johnny cash sure that man you brought it off be very disappointing that he has not got a ride in it as you promised you take it back up to pick up the trailer. Really hope he is still doing ok

My Dad hauled spuds for years then i did too.we did Florida ,North Carolina,Eastern shore ,Delaware, New Jersey ,and finally New York. Frito Lay and Utz mostly and some small plants local brands. Big setup like in video at Derwood Cooper farm Gum Neck NC but all Haines equipment. ❤

I work for a Freight Dispatching company and it is slow but there are plenty of loads if your MC ratings good.

Man I remember when I was a kid my dad would bring a load of taters home and me and my friend's would have tater fights in the trailer and we would also kick a pickup load off to sale the little stores in town 😅

@@stevesrandomadventures9066 the fire happened very soon after episode he said it was nearly ready so I guess it could have taken a back burner and then if the lad gave up trucking like other reply said maybe it’s just taken a while to figure out what would be right to do with it…. Guess there will be an update at some point but I know what it’s like trying to survive these days.

My summer job in High School was at a potato farm picking trash and unloading the field trucks. We didn't wash them and just chucked the trash on the ground behind us to be cleaned up when we finished loading. Had 2 loader machines, which like in this video never moved, but we only did maybe 6 loads a day. Trucks had to back in over the scale alongside a 200' quonset hut down the driveway. Most of the drivers would let the operators manage the load, but I remember one driver insisting they load it themselves. He ended up about double the legal load and we didn't help him unload the excess other than have one guy sit in the backhoe to catch the extra potatoes and dump them into a field truck.
First time back here in 10 months. Appears I did not miss much.

I’m confused AGAIN, watching this, if dad was going to pick up another load, who’s going to get the load tim grabbed to NC?? And why if dad was going to run the load to NC then why roll out with the two trucks that were empty?
load didn't deliver till the next day only 3 hrs from the yard
@@Gentryandsons ok so I’m guessing the other two trucks dad rolled out with, had been loaded after Tim got loaded, and all three were heading to offload! Or did they happen to just finish up with the morning coffee and all went their own way?
I enjoyed watching how a big part of my dinner or lunch is loaded right off the fields it's grown in though those were goiing to turn into potato chips.
Hanges like the weather, not enough information wants everyone to follow, going towing, so the heck is happening, all over the place ,very difficult decisions I guess 😂😂😂

I remember back in the 60’s going to visit my Aunt and Uncle in Bloomsburg, PA and seeing the potato haulers down the road from them. I was told they hauled potatoes for Wise.

One of the runs in the UK takes us through a small town and at the bottom of a steep ish hill a roundabout with a tight right turn, the house on the left right at the bottom has a sign saying "hgvs please don't use engine brakes as the noise wakes us up" I'd love to have jake brakes just for that
The Kenner boys used to haul taters to Terry’s in Bristol, Tennessee. Sometimes the load would get rejected & I was on the list to get taters. I would go to Mooresburg & get a pickup full of taters. Everybody I knew got a 5 gallon bucket’s worth of taters. Smiles was worth every bit of the hard work.

You should use cameras on all trucks for edits and videos that would protect you in many ways.

no it has to do with insurance reasons, there's a company that a friend drove for that had half their trucks were AG tags and other half were commercial tags👍
I’m not in trucking but a small excavating business. I seen it coming 2.5 years ago and I tried to lean us out and accomplished that but it has been tough. A lot of small guys have folded and I hate it to. But the world wind is coming for sure

You ever pull out of Palatka FL? Or deliver to FRITO in Perry Ga? If you go to Perry blow the horn only about 2 miles away. Made a deal with the yard dog after I dropped it on the ramp if at night give him a 20. Then he would pulled it off for me and I could go home and sleep in my bed play with the kitty cat and get a good nights sleep. The get up the next morning hook up and get rolling again. All recharged and good for another week.
