If the case is still pending contact USCIS right away and make an amendment on your form. It may be quite difficult to get USCIS to pay attention and do this for you but it is worth trying to fix prior to case approval.
I do not practice UK immigration. If this is for a US visa please notify the officer as soon as you get to the window. I would also send them an e-mail with the change.

Yes, it could help. There is not a guarantee that they will see it, but it does not hurt. Otherwise they will likely send it to the Embassy with jurisdiction of your beneficiary's foreign address.

Attorney says you can carry same petition and share support ticket number. But I'm bit worried how Consulate will verify and react on this ? Can you share your thoughts on the same.
I would go to the appointment and explain the error, make sure that your visa has the correct info. Take a letter from your company if it is about their name, or show your passport if it is about your bio information. If you have an attorney, you should follow their advice.

This should not cause a huge problem. If you wish you can send a letter to the USCIS service center that has your case. There is no guarantee that the letter will reach your file, but you will have proof that you attempted to correct the error.

I recommend that you try to e-mail the NIV Unit ahead of time with the correct info, and be sure to tell the officer at the interview.
