exactly the same thing happened to me , it is not clear whats wrong , my plan is to add more evidence that my petitioner is way qualified , what do you think of that ? + do i need to file form I-864 again ?
I just finished yet another RFE like yours yesterday. We write a detailed cover letter to explain how they are qualified. Good luck!
So, here is the RFE for the I 864, just exactly as you are saying, only in my case there is a income shortfall, (Social Security benefits plus interest income) but the assets (liquid assets) are way way more than the 5 times shortfall. If you add in the value of my real estate value then the "shortfall to asset ratio" is not 5 (the minimum required), but near 200 times the shortfall. I have documented the interest income, 1099's plus a 1040 transcript, bank statements, letter from the bank .... so what else can I do to answer the RFE to their satisfaction?
You have to write a clear cover letter and explain it or get a joint sponsor. Also, make sure that your assets are properly documented with what they want to see.

We assumed our rfe is due to.. my sponsor forgot to tick us citizen box andddd forgot to put the 1st employer name.
The RFE from USCIS should always go on top.
If an I864 is rejected, will that cause the immigrant unable to receive an EAD? Does the USCIS process the I765 and I864 fully separately?

I live with my wife and 2 kids in the same house. I am a US citizen and I am applying for both mom and dad's Green Card. I have already paid for Affidavit of support fee and currently filling out I-864 ( affidavit of support documents and financial evidence). I primarily take care of my 2 kids, hence I only make around 3k per year. However my wife makes enough to sponsor both my parents. So, my questions are:
I am the main sponsor/petitioner so I have to file I-864 FORM for both mom and dad even though I don't make enough money right ?
I have to add my wife as Household Member and fill out I-864A form for both my mom and dad right ?
Do I need to fill out any other forms or provide other documents? PLEASE LMK
If someone else have gone through similar situation in the past or present, I currently am, please provide some info. Thanks a bunch.

I obtained an RFE I864 I followe the instructions on how to fill out the application but seems my husband does not make enough which is not right we are a family of 4 and adding his mother who is the i tended sponsor we would be 5 he made 80k last year #9 on the tax form 1040. I would love a video of submitting Assets for th I864 since we have a paid car paid trailer home and an evaluation of our current home. Im open on suggestions because I really dont have anyone to be a cosponsor for this application. Thank you.

is it possible to respond with the my sponsors I-864 and add new evidences plus a joint sponsor to avoid another rfe?
Yes, that sounds like a good plan. But if there are any mistakes or if anything is confusing, you could get another RFE.
Hi, is there a problem if the petitioning sponsor(21 year old son) was required to file taxes but only filed taxes for 2020 and 2022, not 2021. My husband has a co sponsor, we sent both affidavits of support for both of them with their w-2’s for the last 3 years, except that 2021 that our son didn’t file but he got an RFE but just like you said, it isn’t that specific. It starts by saying that they couldn’t determine if the petitioning sponsor was a qualified sponsor and then later it says that if needed he could get a co sponsor, which he did, we sent 3 years of his taxes and w-2’s. It’s frustrating not knowing what they think the problem is. The co sponsor makes $81.000 a year, married with 2 kids but they file taxes separate and the wife claims their kids as dependents. He still makes way more than needed to co sponsor my husband. What do you recommend us to do

Hi good day! I hope you notice me.. we received an email from NVC that we are DQ already however, we received a case FE note saying "The income reported as stated on form 1-864, 1-864A is insufficient to overcome" what does it mean? Im so confused now. We are well above the minimum x5 higher of the required sponsorhip. Does it mean we need co sponsor??
That is so frustrating. I got the same message for one of my clients. We are going to upload more documents.
@@AudraDoyleImmigrationLawyer we're good now my friend got the same issue and she later received her interview letter and passed.. just ignore the message and make sure to bring all the documents on the final interview.. obviously, we didn't need a co sponsor coz my husband's income is x5 higher from the poverty line

@@AudraDoyleImmigrationLawyer thank you if you think your client is well above from the poverty line and got DQ'ed already you don't need extra documentation just ignore the message and present all the doc on the final interview

Hello Audra, I wanna ask if my petitioner is my child who is still in college, can I have someone else be sponsor and how can they be assured that they are not bound to my life for like 10 years or something like that?
They actually are bound by the I-864.

Is there something I can do to promise I will not be a public charge?
@@gracetmodel There is no way around it. The sponsor and joint sponsor must sign the I-864 and assume responsibility.
Hello Audra, thank you very much for being reliable in answering questions. I would like to ask if its acceptable for me to write a letter of assurance to my co-sponsor that i promise to not be financial burden after i get my green card and able to work. Just so he can have peace of mind that i will not be a public charge that costs him money in the future if the government charges him. Should I send a new application filled out if the original one was sent in 2022 and the interview is in 2023. In other words does the form expire? Thank you so much
Do not send in a new form unless you are asked to do so.
