Damasko absolutely wins on bang for the buck vs. Sinn, and they also have some unique features like the sealed crown mechanism. Sinn is great too, but there's definitely a little bit of brand name tax.
Damasko do not get the recognition they deserve. Thanks for the video. DA47 (black) model is one of my personal favorites. They make watches that will last a lifetime.
I have the DA45 on bracelet and it is one of the best in my collection- probably the most over engineered one I have ever discovered. -damast and super hard stainless, self lubricating crown, ball bearing detents in bezel, all night lume.....and the offset day/date UNDER the logo!...the bracelet is great...simple engineering butterfly clasp and sits flat ....you would dig it.
Just watched this for the 3rd time. I was about to sell an Omega GMT, A Sinn 104 and 356 for a Rolex GMT. Now I’ve got to buy this and reevaluate. Thanks Rob and Mark from LI Watch 😐
Probably the best example ‘bang for your buck’ in watches when the price does not include celeb sponsorship deals, advertising and watch boutiques in prime locations.
Great review, Rob!! 🍻 Still shopping.. After everything that I have looked at, all the videos, etc,,,, Archimede 41 Antimag, Protect, DS30, and a couple of other Damasko's, not to mention Boldr, NTH, Lum-Tec, Hemel, & Christopher Ward; I don't think that I'm going to be happy until I buy my first Damasko! I really didn't want another watch with a rotating bezel. And, if do buy this model, I would choose the 12 hour version bezel. I just think that on my 7.25 - 7.5" wrist, the extra mm or so, will be more to my liking than the regular 40mm case size of the DAxx series. I'm also leaning toward a full lume dial model. Lol!! At first the DA37. But; the DA35 with non-numeric dial, I'm actually liking more. Not ruling out the DS30, either! Even though it is a 39mm case, the dial is actually 33.5mm making it a bit larger dial than the DAxx series or the DA4x models. 👍
Nice! Just wish that it didn't have the drilled lugs. Otherwise a perfect watch. Tritium would have been nice versus the lume. Also, the dark green dial on your Sinn is absolutely beautiful. I think I like your Sinn better. ;-)
Just saw a different Damasko review today. First time hearing of them. Not 100% sure but think they might exchange parts with Sinn, I think they are both German watchmakers. Thank you for putting in the links. I will do some research for sure. I have never bought at this price point. I could afford if I could sell some watches I hardly use and really thinking of upping the price point I have. So many fine watches these days.
Hey Bob, I love this watch. The Sinn 104 is also growing on me. After your ringing endorsement of the DA44 I'd love to know why you'd keep your 104 arabic over this? The DA44 definitely looks out and out tool, whereas the 104 looks more dressy but with good tool characteristics as well.
I love my dc66. Damasko prices their watches exactly where they should be for what you're getting. You're not paying any premium for brand or heritage.
It’s the Sinn 104 LE for me as well, I’m loving that green more and more each day. Great video though as always, may need to pick up a Dansko now nonetheless!
Please take a look at one of Marc’s your watch your way custom mods from LongIslandwatch.com. I bought onf the Skx mods and can’t say enough good about it!
Steven Wymor Guess it’s all just a matter of opinion/preference. For me I think it’s worth it, to have a bracelet that in 20 years I can pass on to my son and it will still look brand new
kopite1892ynwa fair enough, but if the bracelet were $200 (still on the high side) you could buy a brand new bracelet when you pass the watch on to your son and still have $100 in the bank. But it’s your money. Spend it as you see fit.
Steven Wymor ye I totally get what u mean pal, I myself wouldn’t have a problem buying one (and I’m not rich I’d have to save a while lol) I just think everything about damasko’s are fantastic

Funny that you and Long Island Watch put out almost the same video on the same day! Same conclusions - you both love Damasko!
I still need to watch his video, spoiler!!!!!
Marc is an engineer so I am sure he geeks out over these.
Also, they both compared it to the Sinn. What a coincidence. Hmmm.
@@stevewarren4292 Damasko used to make Sinn cases, and competes with Sinn, beside their similar aesthetics.
Rob, the lume is CL1 SuperLuminova. Thanks for showing the watch! What a beast!
My favourite brand by a long way. Just fantastic.
Lately ive been really falling for Damaskos. They are insanely beautiful in a unique way. Lovely review rob!
I seem to be drooling uncontrollably

Sounds like another damn watch to add to the list! My wife’s gonna be pissed!
LOL, I know both feelings. :-)
Incredible watch! Well done review. Thank you Rob!
Have Damasko Dk 32 very happy with it 😀 has in-house movement
Great video
Probably the best example ‘bang for your buck’ in watches when the price does not include celeb sponsorship deals, advertising and watch boutiques in prime locations.
I audibly WOW’d at the date change. Talk about Datejust
This and the dc34 reminds me of the MIH watch.
This is one of my favorite watches
BRILLIANT REPORT.....PLACED AN ORDER STRAIGHT AWAY AFTER VIEWING...........
I think the best value Damasko's are the ones that comes with the bracelet , the bracelet itself is like $700
Love my Da47 .... Damasko make some of the best watches out there.
Great review, Rob!! 🍻

I've had one of these for 5 years as a beater. Soap and water and it looks unworn. Got mine with the 12 hour bezel option.
👍 appreciate the comparison to the Sinn very much
I really want to choose a Damasko over a Sinn based on specs, but man Sinn’s designs are so much more attractive.
Nice! Just wish that it didn't have the drilled lugs. Otherwise a perfect watch. Tritium would have been nice versus the lume.

My Christmas list

Damasko is a brand for those in the know. This compares favorably to the Sinn U1 black bezel. This looks better to me.

Amazing watch! Do they still produce these?
Whats Up Rob
I love my dc66. Damasko prices their watches exactly where they should be for what you're getting. You're not paying any premium for brand or heritage.
So Rob, as good as the Damasko is, would you trade your Sinn 104 LE for it?
No. Can’t seem to place it. But the bracelet helps make the choice for sure.
It’s the Sinn 104 LE for me as well, I’m loving that green more and more each day. Great video though as always, may need to pick up a Dansko now nonetheless!
*Damasko. Damn auto correct!
Admire the tech in these watches just the style of it i find boring
Was drooling until the price, my God that's way to high
For what you get it’s great value, this watch will still look impeccable in 20 years time. Incredible watches
Not for the tech, I’ll have to get one at some point.
the autofocus on your videos seems really fast
Sinn or Damasko??
Please take a look at one of Marc’s your watch your way custom mods from LongIslandwatch.com. I bought onf the Skx mods and can’t say enough good about it!
I thought it was c3
How does this brand do with keeping value?
Damasko hold their value well just check on eBay, primarily because they just don’t scratch. Still look brand new even after years of wear
Germans watches ftw.
Stunning watch tho a little small for me .43mm would be perfect,
$500 for a bracelet? SMH 🤦🏻♂️
It’s a fantastic bracelet though, not your run of the mill 316 stainless steel
kopite1892ynwa but 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of the watch? Come on.

38 hours power reserve. That's not acceptable
dial looks too plain for me.
