I've loved the Lemania 5100 movement since I first started collecting chronographs and have been ticked off that the movement has basically been put on the shelf by Swatch. I believe a version of the 5100 is used in the Breguet Transatlantique XXI but don't quote me on this. The central minutes hand is the key to the 5100's success as you to see at a glance exactly how many minutes have elapsed. No reading glasses required! So it is refreshing to see Damasko bring this feature back out into this DC 80 chronograph albeit without an hour totalizer. But I can see that with the bi-directional bezel it would be easy to set it to the hour hand and time the hours as well as the minutes so it may not be much of an issue. Damasko deserves much praise for what they have done on this chronograph and even more they deserve our dollars. This watch is about half the price of a Tudor chronograph. Well done Damasko!
I would buy this immediately if it was available in 40mm. A metal bracelet in the same finish would be a huge bonus too, even if it meant a significant price boost. Love the dial/hands/center-chrono-minutes complication. So clean.
The watch is an eye-catcher, and I really like Damasko watches - however the lack of a day (date) complication and a running seconds hand, is a no-go for me. Waiting for the DC 86 until I pull the trigger...
if they'll manage to do one slightly smaller (so it fits my 6,3" wrist) and with a running seconds subdial, i'll be all over this. i love central seconds and this looks phenomenal
I've been eyeing this model up for some time since I saw it on Page & Cooper's site in the UK (the distributor/AD). What a superb watch, especially with that black bezel edge and pushers! If it had a 5-55 bezel I'd be in love. I'd also need to see it in person to decide if I could live with the crosshairs on the dial.
Why did they change the hands on the production model?? I really like the sword hands on the one in this video. Take a look at the DC80 available to buy, the hands were changed to stick hands. Why did they do that?
Very nice video, Zach. Thank you. Great watch, great value, too. While I enjoy aviation-styled watches (and own a few!), I'm a bit put off by overt aviation style queues, such as that chrono hand shaped like an airplane. Just my imho, but I'm not a pilot so why would I want my watch to refer so directly to pilots? Same with Sinn's "flieger" labeled watches. Love the overall style, but never going to get a watch so clearly styled to appeal to aviators.
I like it a lot, but the “sector dial” markings mar the look for me. It is a visual distraction on a watch that is ostensibly designed to be a legible as possible.
I'd love much more if Damasko isn't putting all those crosshairs in all their watches, I know it's kind of unique to the brand but that's pretty distracting for a perfectly legible watch.
David Digilio I’m late but I just purchased one and it’s very impressive. I ordered mine with a twelve hour bezel which allows me to track a second time zone or use it along with the chrono to time events up to twelve hours. It’s beautifully built and wears smaller than my Heuer Autavia, which surprised me. It feels extremely rugged.

Sinn isn't pronounced "Sin", as in Jesus' sins; it's "Dzinn". Try typing it in Google translate & it'd give you the meaning of the word too. And it's not even close to the English Sin.
Nice review, but you talk with your hands. That is okay, lots of people do it. However you keep waving your right hand in front of the watch. Very distracting and it does not add to the review. Just fast forward through the review and you will see how much you actually do this and how distracting it is.

The functionality and style of the Sinn EZM 1.1 at half the price? Yes please!
Dear Damasko. Please make a dark gray dial with orange center chrono accents, plus 12-hour totalizer. This watch is so cool!

praetor47 same thing, seems like smaller watches are what’s “in” so fingers crossed
I just recently discovered your channel, amazing content! You deserve so many more subscribers
Great review, gorgeous timepiece...I see this brand all the time on Gnomon

Love your videos and website! I can’t wait to get my Damasko!
Cool watch. I would miss an hour counter, too. Nice, thorough review.

I'll have to take a look.. I hate the stick hands on a watch like this.. the sword hands make the watch!
I know this is super late, but I was bummed about this too. I emailed Damasko and they said that you can get the sword hands for a fee of $60.

Effective review - thank you
Lovely review of a great brand.
i wish it have hour rotating bezel then i can use it as hour counter or 2nd time zone. i will not use countdown function… still great work thought.
Nice review. Thank you.
cool watch

Very nice watch, unfortunately not available from Damasko yet.
AWESOME!
Tool watch in the true sense..and looks great as well
Would be perfect if it had Day + Date...
compare to the DA46 what the difference i notice you have you pay an extra 1k euros
Needs date complication and second hand badly... good review

if you have the 12 hour bezel, you'd have a 12 hour chronograph
Just ordered mine from Gnomon!
thoughts since it arrived? Thinking of one myself.

nope, as native german speaker i can tell you it is spoken like "sin"
Swing and a miss

Couldn't look at that horrible logo everyday.
