- The DA47 has a white dial that is fully luminous in the dark when charged by light (glows green). It also has a handy rotating 60-minute timing bezel. The case size is 40mm, but the bezel brings it to just a tick under 42mm. The case is made from ice-hardened stainless steel with a bead-blasted surface, making it more resistant to scratches. There is also an integrated anti-magnetic inner cage to guard against the movement becoming magnetized.
The knurled screw-down crown and mechanism is fully hardened and along with a screw-in case back, provides you with a 100-meter water resistance rating. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides gives you increased clarity viewing the dial. The black hands and markers against the white dial make for a very readable timepiece. The day and date window is found at a special position slightly below the center axis. The DA47 includes black strap with white stitching.
Watch Features:
Movement: Swiss ETA 2836-2 Automatic (self-winding)
Case: Stainless steel, 41.9mm (with bezel) x 12.4mm thick. 48mm tip to tip
Back: Screw-in
Crystal: AR coated, scratch-resistant sapphire
Band: Black strap with white stitching, 20mm
Water Resistant: 100 meters

Damasko has become my favorite brand - I own a DC57 and DSub2. Superb timepieces!
These are such awesome watches. They're getting to be one of my favorite brands.
I feel the same about this brand 😎 real tool watches
It’s fantastic. I would have to go leather as I really don’t understand why companies produce tool watches with a butterfly clasp . It becomes a lottery whether it fits you properly and that really bugs me . They do everything else brilliantly I just don’t understand the lack of fine adjustment...
Just got the same model about 3 months ago and have only taken it off to swap with my DateJust!! Couldn't agree more with your assessment.
These are awesome watches. I have a DA36 and it’s the most dependable watch in my collection. Never have to worry when it’s on my wrist. I also think the self-lubricating crown/stem is underrated it threads so nicely
Love my DS30. Had it for a couple of months now. Accurate to a couple of seconds per day and not a scratch on it. Stock leather strap is pretty good as well.
Have the exact same watch but with 1-12 bezel. I got the last of those and there was one left so you must've gotten the other one.
truly beautiful and very legible watch, thanks for the excellent review !
Excellent review of an awesome watch, thanks Chris.
Thanks chris
Amazing watch! Do they still produce these?
Great vid. Do u prefer the all lume white dial or the black dial. I'm in the middle. The function of full lume is appealing but the versatility of the black dial is pulling me too
I like both ! Hard to decide
it doesn't look like there are micro adjustments on the bracelet.....could that be an issue when sizing it ?
It may cause an issue to get perfect fit . So far works well for me
They give you "half" links that help you get the fit right.
BTW - You mentioned that the Submarine steel is ice-hardened. It's only surface hardened, just like my DSub2, and is different from their Ice-hardened watches
Great review. I previously had a damasko but couldn't stand the outer AR coating. How do you feel the damasko compare to sinn.? Also which models would you recommend?
I’ve owned sinn , also great watches but Damasko is better built and more affordable. I like the da47 Damasko even the basic ds30 is nice
MrLoughneagh Just read in the Damasko catalogue (you can download it from their website) that you can special order AR on the inside only.
Great watches! I have three Damasko's and all run +/- 1 sec per day or better :)
Where can you buy one? Can’t see any online.
Thanks.
It might be discontinued
So how does damasko compare with sinn?
My opinion it’s better
Where did you get the Band? I did not find it on www.watchmann.com .
That’s the website I bought it from , maybe call and ask
I am trying to find this watch. Any suggestions?

@@ChrisMarshall1978007 I called the owner. He does not have any in stock. Waiting for Spring shipments that will include an in house movement.
@@Sandbag1300 nice 👍🏻 I guess I got one of the last ones
@@ChrisMarshall1978007 The big question...do I wait until Spring or pull the trigger on the Breitling Superocean 42 you recently reviewed....
@@Sandbag1300 the breitling is a very nice watch and totally different compared to the Damasko . The Damasko is a true tough tool watch that will last forever
