@@birdwoman.Birdman who built the walkway? I honestly can't get over the amount of work or the expense for the foundations if you paid a crew to do it! It's extremely impressive if that was done by 1 man with some random help. I see years of hard work there and it would have been the feature of that property that I would have found the hardest to part with. I'm extremely impressed with that walkway.

I’d love a full walk of meditation and contemplation video with you and the dogs. It would be really cool to only have the sounds of silence and nature to accompany it. It would be a beautiful and powerful auditory and visual journey through the wetlands and forest. I’d love to experience that and I think others would too. I feel like it would be rejuvenating and soothing for the heart, mind and soul. To just be silent and still in the cacophony of mother nature’s earth songs playing all around you… would be beyond healing and cathartic. Love it! 💗

A home that it’s still evident today that was very much loved and cared for by its previous owners. I would move into this home and sell the other one. This home has a unique appeal that is not easy to explain, perhaps it’s the amount of love that the previous owners bestowed on it.

You mentioned that the previous owner was Swiss. I'm stereotyping perhaps but, the Swiss and Germans are known for their meticulousness when it comes to building structures, machines, as well as maintenance and record keeping. I toured a modern house built by an Amish family and it was the first and only house with wood stairs that didn't have a single creak. And the wiring coming out of the electrical panel was perfectly straight and all the wires laid flat without twisting and the retaining clips were aligned and spaced perfectly throughout the unfinished basement. Everything was pre-planned and detailed perfectly.

I hope that, unlike Tony, they keep to the walkways and footpaths lol. The raised walkways were used in Europe hundreds of years ago to get around marshy lands before they were drained. Is it possible to still add solar panels to the roof later and feed back to the grid? Best wishes to you and your family in all your ventures.

I watched the first video of when you bought the cottage and I've been out of sorts for some time due to health issues and not on the web. I realize this video was a year ago but I have to say I absolutely love this cottage on the lake you purchased, it's a dream come true for so many of us and this place is amazing. The previous owner obviously put his heart and soul into it. The walkway he created through the swam to the point and beyond is beyond comprehension, people dream of finding a place like this to live and retire at and this place is it. I envy where you live, Nova Scotia looks so beautiful and away from the nightmare concrete hell so many of us live at today. I live in Seattle and it has become all but unbearable to live at now. I travel to Canada when I can and every time I do I don't want to leave, there's a fishing camp I got to in British Columbia called Meadow Lake Fishing Camp and it is an incredible place to get away in the middle of nowhere and fish, and hike and see the beautiful Canadian out doors. I ramble too much but I just can't get enough of that cottage, I look forward to seeing you bring it back to it's original glory and I have a dream to rent it some day for a month or two! Thank you for an excellent video and a great getaway from my nightmare life in Seattle.

@@gigiis526 your assumption of what i assumed seems to be way off, my thoughts were purely about the quality of workmanship - If it helps you my thought process was this was clearly a property that a craftsman who has a lot of pride in their workmanship built to the highest quality, and that they would appreciate seeing what somebody that not only appreciates their work but also clearly takes huge pride in their own quality workmanship does. You are a lucky man, but most of that luck comes from hard work. This was a very cool video. I have bought and sold 70 properties over the years, so I totally understand your excitement with the house and the lake property. Maybe in time, you sell your present home and move to this one, but that decision will be easier after you have spent more time at the new one. I don’t think you need to feel guilty about remarks from tree lovers. There are always dead trees that must be cleared and forests are healthier if you thin and prune some of the bad specimens. Also there are some personal questions, such as financial, that do not need to be answered. My enjoyment from your videos is the excavating, the development and improvements to your property. I totally get taking a big problem like you had at your present home and cleaning it up. Huge sense of pride and satisfaction at the end of the job. Great job producing these videos and the hard work you put in every day. Looking forward to the construction of your shop and the new bed and breakfast, which needs a cool Swiss name. Now you need to give your wife and son a hug for supporting your hard works and dreams. Till the next one.
