War changed everything about me. I’ve been in three vehicle accidents (I wasn’t driving) and multiple high stress situations since I was retired from the Army. I didn’t feel even a small adrenaline rush. It started to make me reckless and reclusive. I felt numb to everything that average civilians react to. I was a paratrooper for the 12 years that I served before I was wounded in combat for the third time and given medical retirement. I fought on five combat tours, and never was lucky enough to get deployed to areas of Iraq and Afghanistan that weren’t complete chaos. I’ve got 49 jumps under my belt, and most were into the complete darkness of the night. After a few dozen it had begun being less exciting and by my 49th jump it had become like breathing. The same goes for combat. By my third tour getting shot at was just another day at work. I felt nothing anymore. Even with a chunk of shrapnel sticking out of the side of my head during my last combat experience, I remember telling myself that I should be scared, but I couldn’t. Transitioning to civilian after that was the most difficult thing I had ever done. I couldn’t relate and every symptom that Dr Berg pointed out here was what I felt every minute of every day for years. Those symptoms were exacerbated by traumatic brain injuries and PTSD. I hid myself from the world to avoid being triggered. I didn’t have just a short temper. I could go from zero to rage in an instant over the some of the most trivial things. After I recovered from my wounds I began school to become a paramedic. During my clinical time I’d lost my third patient while en route to the hospital. It was a 4yo girl that we did everything we could to save. I took it hard and it made me realize that I was only trading my old chaotic life for another chaotic life that wasn’t conducive to healing my behavioral health from the damage war had done to me. A few weeks later I was speaking to my grandmother. Through tears she told me something that was like a punch in the gut. She told me that war had taken away her grandson. That the family didn’t know who I was, and that they just wanted their Dane back. I dropped from the paramedic course and decided to go a completely different route. I figured the furthest place from chaos was a spa. I went back to school and became an aesthetician (not just an esthetician) and a massage therapist. After school and a year of experience I had mostly recovered and became a better version of my pre-war self. I still can’t get an adrenaline rush and I am still very nonchalant in situations or moments that are considered high stress for civilians. My approach to these situations are different though. I can relate, empathize, and help others cope in those situations. I’d still love to feel an adrenaline rush again, but I’m still working on that. It’s hard to fear injury and death after forcing that fear out before. I honestly feel like I still embrace death in a very reckless way. I’m working on that but it’s really hard.
@@chriskozak7356 eh, I feel like it isn’t for me. I’d be the same damaged veteran had I not had a desire to heal and not worked on myself. Time hasn’t dulled the memories either. I can recall everything as if it just happened. Even the memories of scents are like I am smelling them now. That’s the worst part. It ruins my appetite almost daily. Time may heal for others, and I envy those people. However, I am now the closest I think I’ll ever be to who I was before war. I found a career that is conducive to healing and distanced myself from anything that was, in my opinion, perpetuating the problem. I love my work and it became my best therapy. I’m a massage therapist and medical aesthetician. Working in a spa clinic is the furthest thing from combat that I could find and it’s been amazing for my behavioral health.

What if you can hold your breath for 2 minutes and you iris test is good, good tolerance to stress ... but you have light headed upon standing and some irregular sleep stuff going on, and hair fall from legs, and some constipation?
I believe many people have adrenal fatigue because of childhood trauma and the constant fight or flight they live in. Telling these people just to chill out and simmer down will not help them at all. Medication can help some but more importantly is deep therapy to release some of the fear that is overstimulating their amygdala.
In coffee? Coffee is what gave me adrenal fatigue in the first place though. How can putting anything that is meant to help, into a substance that causes the fatigue actually help? Many things cause adrenal fatigue, one of them is coffee, coffee is horrible for your adrenals.
I can attest to that, drank coffee daily since I was 18-20, Now 45 and have hyperthyroidism, which can be a sign of adrenal fatigue. I just quit coffee about 3 weeks ago, it helps. I've been in a high stress job for 3.5 years, and also was going to school for over a year on top of that and I think that it really took a number on my adrenals. Focusing on healing now through intermittent fasting and supplements. We have become dependent on a lot of substances that in the end can really damage the body, and unfortunately society and commerce encourage over consumption of everything.
Hello Dr. Berg, I am suffering from adrenal fatigue, it has been about 3 weeks since I had to stop running to get better. My question is, will I ever be able to run again?
Hmmmm kind of sounds like the calm people let the stressed out people do all the work for them. Nothing bothers them so nothing gets done by them and those of us that get irritated are the ones that get stuff done… Ha ha ha… that’s been my experience anyway! But I’m trying to learn to be carefree :-)
Dr Berg, I have an important question: Is the adrenal formula a treatment to better the adrenals? I mean, do we take it for some time and then leave it because our adrenals get "fixed"? Or is it a treatment that we will have to take forever? Also on that note: does it create dependency? If we start taking the supplement, can our adrenals recover naturally or will they always depend on the adrenal formula? Thanks a lot. I would love some visibility for this comment since I'm concerned about this, I think is important to know for our health.
@@tanyawieczorek6603 Hi! I bought the product to try it out. My life is going on fairly well at the moment, but my stress levels were not matched to my situation. I had accumulated stress due to somewhat recent traumatic events. So I bought the product to have a more sensible attitude and not so neurotic outlook on everything. The first two days I was taking one pill a day, but read that actually it has to be 2 a day, and I didn't notice the immediate relaxation he talks about. But, after switching to 2 pills a day, I felt great. It was a little bit harder to bother me, I could not let some things affect me for real, and the more days passed taking them, the more joyful I felt. And without dependency. I've been taking 2 pills a day for a couple of weeks, then switched to 1 a day (because it's 60€ to buy it and have it shipped to Europe and it's only 60 pills, so I didn't want to run out of them), and felt fine, my levels of joy didn't falter, my levels of stress and neuroticism did not spike. After a month and a little more of taking them, I don't feel I need to take them every day. I maybe take one every 5 days or a week, but it's because I still live in a stressful situation (we have mold at home and it's affecting my mum's health and mine, I live in a neighborhood that doesn't make me happy because it's surrounded by bars and pubs aka alcohol and tobacco, and I still have some pending issues to solve with my ex because he is dragging solving them; though there are plenty of great things happening for me, I'm just stating the constant stressors). I take them when I know I need special focus or to be in a great mood. My thesis is: the pills heal your adrenals! They help them recover from accumulated stress, so after they are healed, you no longer need to take them. Maybe only when it has stacked up. But in fact, thanks to them, you have a clearer mind and state to feel what truly makes you happy and find a way to incorporate it into your life, as well as clarity to find a solution for the stressors in your life and the patience to work through them, which I found. That way, the pills help you to not need them in the long term because you live in a better physical state to make your life better. ☺️ I will absolutely buy a second bottle next month. Totally recommended.

wish I could put this in our water to calm down all the negative people in the world
So funny. I was thinking about the exact same thing. I have eventually got my wife to take Ashwaganda on her own.
lol. anyone in customer service feels this way every day regardless.
adrenal fatigue has made me slow and incompetent so i cannot stand myself now. + "onche onche kom t 1souciant" dit-on en français :hap: french people have quite some adrenal fatigue I guess, then
I'm really annoyed at your spelling of 'insouciant'! Even more mad that nobody else seems to have noticed.......
Dr Berg you do you want me to get arrested for putting a foreign substance in peoples coffee without them knowing. Or maybe they’ll be so chilled out they won’t press charges.😂
Had it for YEARS, really since I was a kid. Discovered I had sleep apnea and I do Craniosacral Therapy. I feel better than I have ever felt in my whole life.
Craniosacral Therapy saved my life
how do you find craniosacral therapy? sounds good. Thanks

Hi Dr Berg, my Adrenal & Cortisol Support bottle says to take 1 pill a day on the label. Is it okay to take up to 3 a day instead?

Can relate I’m a grave digger here in Australia and I definitely need to sort my adrenal
What if you can hold your breath for 2 minutes and you iris test is good, good tolerance to stress ... but you have light headed upon standing and some irregular sleep stuff going on, and hair fall from legs, and some constipation?
Dr Berg - I have adrenal fatigue 😅
Yes to all of those Intolerances 😰🤣😅☺️
I believe many people have adrenal fatigue because of childhood trauma and the constant fight or flight they live in. Telling these people just to chill out and simmer down will not help them at all. Medication can help some but more importantly is deep therapy to release some of the fear that is overstimulating their amygdala.
💯 !!
Lol. Awesome content & very funny when you put that adrenal relieve supplement in someone else coffee.
This feels like it was made just for me. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Very helpful, but people do need to improve their spelling regardless.
In coffee? Coffee is what gave me adrenal fatigue in the first place though. How can putting anything that is meant to help, into a substance that causes the fatigue actually help? Many things cause adrenal fatigue, one of them is coffee, coffee is horrible for your adrenals.
The coffee for the co-worker....not your own 😊
I can attest to that, drank coffee daily since I was 18-20, Now 45 and have hyperthyroidism, which can be a sign of adrenal fatigue.
I really liked you until I heard there was a misspelling in one of your books.
Nina 😂
Hello Dr. Berg, I am suffering from adrenal fatigue, it has been about 3 weeks since I had to stop running to get better. My question is, will I ever be able to run again?
Have you seen this video yet? Check it out and let me know if it helps! ua-cam.com/video/obbsKHDBJWY/v-deo.html
Thanks Dr. Berg ^^ I see you put that Comedic part in there just for us Adrenal clogged crazy patients^^ really appreciate!!!
You spelled insouciant wrong.
Pronounced it wrong too, supposed to have a French accent on it.
Was wondering how i became so impatient, particularly because I used to be SO PATIENT!
This video helped a lot, thank you 🙏
Great Info. This is a common in people today. Loved when you crouched down when you were being sneaky :)
bought your adrenal kit
Love Dr Berg! Him sneaking it in their coffee looking around was hilarious 😂 🤣🤣🤣
Please organise affordable shipping to the UK?
Based on the last I've been in adrenal fatigue since I could read. Lol!
De. Berg can you please do an update on this !!!!
It’s due … coffeee and stress don’t mix
so all Germans have adrenal fatigue :D
Speling?...... aaaaaarrrrrrrggghhhh!......anyway look a bird.
That "was?" me. Blood pressure 235/143, 3 TIA in 2 weeks, couldn't tolerate incompetence from colleague nor sexual harassment, bad driver...
I'm wondering that too. Did you find out anything?
I will absolutely buy a second bottle next month. Totally recommended.
