Excellent comparison! I ordered a Team Wendy a while back, but they’ve been on backorder for the one I wanted. Excited to get it in and built out for testing!

Great video, hear you loud and clear on that tensioning system. BOA is pretty awesome, but it has one major drawback. Single point of failure. If the wire breaks, your helmet is unusable until you replace the full harness system. We're engineering something to be more multi-purpose with the launch of our hard hat later this year but it's on the back-burner while we continue to work on re-shoring our all aramid Gen2 ballistic helmets. We may sell that upgrade to current customers at cost when we launch it, because it's something everyone really wants.
The primary difference between Team Wendy and our Bump is the location of manufacture. Their shell is manufactured in the United States, hence the higher cost associated with that, whereas ours is currently still manufactured in China under our supervision for the time being. At the end of the day, they're both just polycarbonate shells tested to AR-PD 10-02 for Army Blunt Impact standards and BS/EN 1385:2012 for white water rafting. We are hoping to eventually reshore this product as well, but it's a lower priority for us than our ballistic products.

Boa on tw is not critical and is only for minor adjustments meaning that a compromised wire isn't a show stopper. Tw uses clips for adjustments versus button snap

The TW bump comes with bungee. You have to put it on yourself.

I’m very happy with the HHV bump carrying panobridged 14’s. (Supports the weight of two 14’s and counterweights well).

Simple solution on the wobble is to move the padding around to fit your noggin inside the helmet. Not everyone's jug is the same so you move or remove some pads to adjust on your head. The movement on the nods can be easily adjusted to by just filling in voids. Just my experience, just sayin. 🇺🇸

I just ordered the HHV in woodland camo like yours, got $15 off with a discount code.
It will be way better than the cheap MICH helmet I have now.

Good side-by-side, I really have no use for any type of head gear, other than to larp even harder... But based on this video, I'd lean more towards Team Wendy, just because of the easier tensioning system at the rear of the helmet - purely a convenience thing

I've been thinking about a new bump helmet. Something for training. I have an older Wendy ballistic helmet that i wouldn't mind putting up and not wearing out. The HHV looks better to me. I still can't believe the price for these and ballistics now.

I use an opscore bump with the integrated shroud I also have an hhv ate bump when I'm running bridged 14's or a 14 and thermal I use the hhv I just trust the 3 hole shroud over the molded shroud when running bridged

Add a BOA strap to your HHV. I did this with my ballistic helmet. Night and day difference.

Buy a TW Bump when it’s on sale. $270 and some NVG accessories from Shadow Equipment and call it a day.

after using the team wendy bump in the military for over a year the boa retention system is insanley nice for quality of life helmet changes on the go but the little cable has a issue with wearing out and snapping over time same with the little dial it too will wear out or break off after a while of use

Here’s my thing about these helmets, they are BUMP HELMETS, it’s a glorified bike helmet, honestly. They cost less than $50 to make, and they charge astronomical prices for them, $300 for the HHV, and the cheapest team Wendy I’ve found is $500, that’s total BS, to me. A quality helmet should cost no more that $150-$175 at the most

I just got my hardheaded veterans today and my $80 Emerson, tactical airsoft op core replica helmet is light years better. It has no hard foam just a plastic shell with really cheap padding. Seriously if you’re looking for a bump helmet you can spend at or under $100 and get something better than hardheaded veterans. It’s so bad that I just went out and bought myself ops core fast. I’ve never been more disappointed in any tactical product that I’ve ever purchased.

I picked up the team Wendy for 270 during Christmas sale in 23. The hardheaded was 240 to my door which actually didn’t fit because I’m in between the two sizes. I went with the next size up and it was way too big. They recommended me buying their new padding that’s $200. So that over $440 for it to work. Nope. And buying Tim Wendy’s and it fits perfect. Better padding.

HHV doesn't support communism, gun control, or dissolution of the U.S. constitution as Team Wendy does. That's plenty enough reason to choose HHV over TW hippy helmet for me.

@willholly1844 HHV uses Chinese materials for their ATE Gen 2 helmets, I don't like the treasonous BS from Team Wendy either but that doesn't mean HHV is any better.
