Well I installed this kit, it did install easy enough. The problem I had is that clear plastic emblem kept pushing my filter down and off SOO off it came and PROBLEM SOLVED. I love how it sounds.
Ok i brought it and installed it. You can hear the turbo nice. Sounds badass while your 0-60 is still slow as hell 🤣. But at least you feel fast. I can say this video doesn't lie it sounds really good.

Damn, I love how you can actually tell the difference between sport mode and normal. You get so much more sound from the exhaust and the turbo. The induction noise is crazy.

OOH yes I agree. The difference is VERY noticeable.
There’s a speaker mounted under the windshield wiper cover and it turns on when sport mode is activated. It just puts engine sound into the car and does nothing to the actual sound of the exhaust

@@JagMoto636 Its an AEM intake for a Veloster turbo of the same year. Panda Motorworks had it on theor shop, but it seems they no longer have it. They do have others. I can het you the part number later. I still have the box.

For some reason, comments were not reaching me. If you haven't figured it out, the gt line uses the 2.0 engine, its a different intake altogether

just installed a set of switch back led turn signals. eventually more upgrades to come. suspension, tunes, exhaust.
Gota get one for my GT. One thing I noticed, my Forte GT isn't that noisy. Mine is as quiet has a church mouse.
Great Video! Just wondering, did this modification just give you a sportier growl or did it also boost HP?
According to AEM, it gives an approximate increase across the power band of about +10HP. What I can tell you, is that the throttle response is much better, besides the sportier growl
I've always used AEM intakes on all my cars in the past and am looking to get this for my 24 GT Manual. Did you notice any changes to fuel economy under normal driving conditions? I gained over 6 mpg average in my 2022 CR-V after installing an AEM intake but people online are saying their fuel economy took a dump with various intakes on the Forte GT. What I'm curious about is if it's actually worse or if it's a heavy right foot problem lol!

The LED was a kit from the auto parts store added using a switched 12V add a fuse
So what's the difference between the 2021 Forte GT and the 2020. I texted AEM and they said they do not have a cold air intake for the Forte GT 2021.

@@gtg4808 You don't need a tune, that's a rip off at best, Simply turn on your A/C, and pull the fuse to the aircompressor, ECM will think that you have the A/C on giving you UP TO 13% more engine resources. A tune basically does the same thing but your are being charged WAY to much for a fake ass tune that actually isnt helping you at all, and you will be lining somebody else's pocket with your hard-earned money. Want your a/c to work again, put the fuse back into the fuse bank.
Where did you order this intake?? Everywhere I see it, its only for 2.0L amd not 1.6
Alright just installed it today. Love the sounds, but the car seems a little “hesitant.” Did you experience this? Is it just the ecu getting used to the intake?
Did not experience that at all. Check your connections and make sure everything is plugged in correctly. It may take some time for the ecu to relearn, also, I disconnected the battery prior to install
OOH that $5 dollar upgrade if that's what you want to call it, I did it for less than $2.00. It just lets the BOV release in the atmosphere where you can hear it.
In this case, that was not done. Only the intake was installed. The bypass valve is still connected to the Intake tube
It sounds good with it disconnected. Car runs great with the intake on.
Nice, how does it sound inside the cabin? Is it enhanced but the pumped in cabin sounds? I don't know if they are fake or if there is a mic.

Been working with no issues and no comments from the dealership. I do not know fitment for the kia souls

I got it at panda motorworks but it seems they no longer carry it.

If the turn signal is the same as the 2020 GT, I think it should fit. As for the rims, they are konig hypergrams in carbon mettallic with polished lip 18x8 +35mm offset

Better throttle response, can't say it makes more power cause I haven't dyno'd it at all, I have no baseline

Hey man so I noticed online, they don't specifically have one that says its for the forte. They all say for the veloster 1.6t or Elantra 1.6t. Which one did you get? Would you be able to provide the link?
I believe the one I got is for tue veloater 1.6. Check pandamotorworks, thats where I got it from

Technically by law the only real thing that can void warranty is if something messes up and they can prove that whatever the part you put on the car was the sole reason for the malfunction that’s the only way they can void warranty
No, it doesn't And If Kia gives you any grief, Tell them you have the right to add fuel economy to your Kia due to the Magnuson Warrenty Act.
So is the car stock other than the cold air intake? Does your car have downpipes, aftermarket exhaust, blow off valve? That sounds wicked. Thanks.
Bone stock otherwise. Recently installed an xforce catback exhaust. At the time of the video it had stock exhaust

Do you need to tune the car after installing the intake or is it fine to run without a tune? Asking so I don’t accidentally ruin my engine in the long run.
No tuning required. Just follow the instructions and disconnect the battery before install

Wheels are 18x8.5 +45 offset stock tire size

@@Alex-yl7xv I never ended up finding anything, Sxth element makes some nice intakes for the car so maybe you can find something in Canada for that. It was about $120 extra with duties and shipping fee's incase you were wondering.

I have the 2020 , not gt tho , so the 1.8 engine , you think it would fit the same ? 🤔
I am unsure, I know injen made an intake for the 1.8, but I do not know if it fits the new body style
Now take off the hot water line going into your throttle body, or this $300.00-dollar C.I.A was all for nothing. Air is still getting "baked" before it reaches your intake plenum. And you definitely do not need an oil catch can. Simply plug off the nipple onto the intake air tube, and get a tiny little filter for the tip of the p.c.v line and let it vent into the atmosphere. Further more to help aid the C.I.A invest in a Velossa Tech snorkel, you will notice a huge advantage in your throttle responses.
Further more, if you really want a HP gain change out those sissy 450cfm injectors and purchase 650cfm and a higher-pressure-high-volume fuel pump from Deats, no bigger then 700cfm, (as that little turbo might have a heart attack,) You'll be able to easily take down a $60k GT Mustang with your Kia.
How you put the blue light and when you turn on the lights of the car the blue light turn on to?
its a off the shelf LED kit from autozone. it is hooked up to the 12V inside the car, I turn it on and off

What you hear in the video is what it sounds like. The car had no other mods at the time other than wheels and tires
Aren't you supposed to disconnect the positive side of the battery 🔋 ?
Disconnecting the negative side ensures minimal spark when trying to connect it back.

Forte gts are map based not maf map= no check engine, maf= check engine light

Did you disconnect the battery before install? Sounds dumb but I think the car re calibrates and relearns throttle . I did not notice any slow down or hesitation

from what I have heard from other people, the Takeda is a bit quieter than this, but the air box is also, fully sealed, with the inlet pushed forward towards the grill similar to stock intake
I got a takeda open box with a oil filter and it’s really loud, you will get peoples attention that’s for sure

Not sure why your Turbo sounds like a Supra's.... lol what else do you have going on inside that car.
The sound is what the car makes. With the ontake the turbo noise are much more noticeable At the moment of this video the car only had the intake installed. At the moment the car had an Xforce catback with Varex muffler. Other than that nothing else. Except the wheels and switchback turn signals

Currently just the AEM Intake and xforce catback. Cosmetics, just the LED switch back turn signals and konig hypergram wheels with. General Gmax summer tires

@@timmyluna51 it's from the intake piping touching your windshield washer fluid reservoir. You need to space eachother out. It fixed the problem for me.

It does not. Search for the magnusson aftermarket act
No mod automatically voids your warranty. If the dealer can prove that the mod caused the failure, it is then that they can void warranty work for that part.

sorry to hear that. maybe try the bypass eliminator kit from panda motorworks? really all it is, is a rubber cap and a ziptie for the bypass valva inlet on the intake hose
