I got the Kia 2021 new badge I love it! What do you guys recommend putting on it? Was thinking of just a exhaust and a good chip and get rid of the turbo lag
I have this car. 2021 Kia Forte GT Gray, DCT. I like the stiff motor mounts, the feeling from the transmission and the transmission of road-feeling to the driver ( in a good way ). It's a brilliant machine.
Wish I could dyno mine, I have a 15 optima turbo with the rs racechip tune, intake, hks plugs, catless with stock exhaust. I went from slight spinning in first to spinning all the way to 45-50 in second gear.
Just got my ECU flashed today, was interesting as nothing can be done through the OBD 2 port so the shop had to rip into it. Took all day but came out with 231 hp and 269 lb ft. Likely the first GT ECU that’s been dissected.
Might be a stupid question, was the Forte warm before the stock pull, what fuel was it running and what gear was the pull in? I own the European equivalent with the same power train (Kia Proceed GT) and when cold mine has a soft limit, the second pull sounded like it pulled similar to mine when warm and on decent fuel (99 octane).
I drive a 2019 Forte LXS, not a gt model I drove from my town to Dallas (3hrs) and on cruise control going 85mph 90% of the way, with the car completely stock, I got 38 miles per gallon. Absolutely great ride, spacious enough for a car seat and stroller in the back, I just wish I went with a GT for more fun
Where would be a place to get that tuner? I have a 2020 Forte Gt manual and I’m putting a list together for when I buy a daily for my daily. These cars have some potential that’s for sure
Im getting this car next year or maybe in 3 years but i really dont like my 2018 versa its the base model(crappy as hell) and not even manual transmission. i just need a well deserved and desperate upgrade but really dont want to wait 3 years because im tired of it im about 2 months from paying it off and once i get the place i want im getting this car after all the math is done. and after this car i'll finally graduate to the stinger gt2. i was just going to get the stinger but i saw this as a wonderful stepping stone as a first time car i bought and wanted. i always wanted a manual and kia gave me a manual but this one has 200 hp fuck yes and all the things you want for cheap in a modern car its a steal. my dream come true next to the stinger of course
I would be curious to see how much power it would make after a week of driving it on the street. Cars always dyno crazy high after a tune or piggy back when you test them immediately after install. Once the car goes through some drive cycles the computer can and does undo some of those gains once it has time to adjust fuel trims and such.
I got a 2018 Kia Forte S & I wanna make it faster and get better handling as well, any Tips as to what I can upgrade to get some monster HP out of my Car ? So far the only thing I've done is put a K&N Air Filter on it
@@Oatis_07 what made you get a forte s instead of something faster already? Turbo cars typically gain more hp and TORQUE with little $$... You picked the most economical car to begin with...there are faster options out there that are affordable...forte GT being one of them, while still being pretty fuel efficient.
@@M4B21S88 I’m barely getting into cars, to be honest when I first bought the car I was looking for safety & fuel efficiency & the Forte S was a great option. Now I know better in terms of car selection like going for a GT etc but ima pay this car off and go for a Stinger or something better.
If you're below operating temp and not on 93 pump gas, it will be approx 160-170 whp due to 15%~ drive train loss, ON TOP of that. My dyno was 183whp fully stock besides resonator and muffler delete/custom pipe. quick tune, let it breathe better should easily get to 250-300 without upgrading internals beyond bolt on mods.
I just checked on Panda motorwork's website and couldn't find the tow hook license plate mount for the 2020 Forte. Anyway you can tell me which one they used?
@Tyrone Power yeah like you said it’s very easy if you have a aftermarket intake to your hands in there. I took my air box out took couple mins and pretty easy to remove. Def worth the money for a power mod with no traces in the ecu when removed before dealer visits.
@@wolfgang8260 there’s a French channel here on UA-cam that showed a drag race between the civic si and forte gt with the DCT....forte gt won both races.
Note that the kia forte GT will cut full power until it is fully warmed up to operating temperature. The difference is about 20 HP.
Never knew that on mine but that makes sense cause the mornings I gotta get up and go on the highway merge and I think I notice that
@@TheJoeeReflex You definitely would. I notice it on the ES as well. Turbo systems aren't meant to be ran full-bore cold.

thanks in advance
Does anyone know if you can take of the safety features in a car that has like engine locks and like anti skids and shit

I believe the veloster's front diff fits the forte. Don't quote me on that though.
So what where the final gains that you guys where able to get from the jb4?
