Hello Panda 🐼 Motorworks today I installed the takeda momentum cold air intake system and it's freaking awesome 😎👍 next week I'll be installing the MBRP axel back exhaust system that I ordered from you guys and the velossa big mouth 👄 snorkel with the intercooler resonator plug that I ordered from sxth element 🎉🎉🎉🎉 thank you!!
I just got my AFE intake from you guys and the car feels sluggish with new CAI . I assume it’s getting too much air and not enough fuel now . Any suggestions?
Open air intakes on a stock car will feel slower so you feel that lag. You need a more free flowing exhaust, bigger injectors and a dyno tune to actually make it work. All upgrades are in sync so you can’t just bolt on one thing.
@Panda Motorworks, I have a 2023 KIA Forte GT with the Manual Tranny and I was looking for a CAI (Cold Air Intake) for this yer vehicle. Will this kit shown in the video work for my car or will the be a new one coming out soon? Any Full Exhaust Kit that I can do an install in the next 12 to 24 months? Any Chips or Tuning available for this vehicle? Thanks in advance!
Any Intakes, Exhausts, and the RaceChip listed on our site will work for your 2023. Nothing changed between 19-23 that would prevent them from fitting.
@@PandaMotorworks Thank you! After posting the comment I noticed the website and went right in and saw what you had. I like it. Don't have the budget for that right now, but definitely in the next couple of months will be doing one or two upgrades. Thank you for the prompt response. Means a lot!!!

@@djsson7544 from what ive seen, the 1.6T can push 100HP over stock. The block is weak tho, so ppl end up blowing the motors up because of too much boost.

@@seansaunders6476 I'm guessing you mean stock exhaust and at the moment I'm running the stock downpipe and stock muffler but with a full 3" midpipe replacement by xforce
Actually these ECU's are advanced enough to adjust fuel target to make sure the car is running properly with most bolt ons. What it can not adjust and limits the increase in power is TQ Targets.
@@PandaMotorworks See, I was under the same impression until I installed CAI. I tested it for about a month and realized how much MPG I was losing without any gain in performance. If you want to make it sound louder then sure, go for it. Otherwise, you are losing MPG and there will be hiccups in the driving as well.
@@jerbsherb4391 I agree. I have rarely if ever seen any advantage to a CAI. They do not allow any better flow or cfm because the intake charge is on demand from the engine and its already more than enough. Then you add a air filter that flows more air, which means it also lets larger particulates through which is detrimental for any internal combustion engine. There is a reason these things never come with a dyno sheet.....and if they do its +3 HP on the best pull, and -5 on the worst......
I've installed this on my Cerato (Forte) GT for the purpose of a bit more intake noise. The top section seals fairly well to the underside of the hood and there's been no change to the charged air temp at the throttlebody, nor any meaningful change to short/long-term fuel trim by the ECU. My MPG hasn't changed at all compared to stock. IF someone was installing this as a performance increase ON ITS OWN then they're probably in for a bad time.
@@mefobiajeep9866 The allowing-larger-particles-if-higher-airflow only really holds true if the two filters have the same surface area. The surface area of the AEM filter in this kit is at least twice that of the stock filter element - it's absolutely huge. Hence if this air filter has the same size restrictions as the stock panel it will easily out-flow the stock one without allowing larger particulates through (I'm not saying the AEM filter has the same level of filtration as the stock, I'm simply talking about the physics)
interesting that you didn't mention you added the BPV delete kit in the final video, but at the beginning its not deleted
You weren’t supposed to notice that.. shhh…

love this will this fit a 2024 forte gt?
Yes it will!
does this require a tune ?
🤦♂️
should you disconnect the negative on the battery during install?
🤦♂️
Will this void any warranty???
Will this same box fit the non GT model? Since they don’t sell the short ram intake. I can retro fit if the box fit
I just bought a 2023 Kia GT does this air intake fit this model ? Thanks 👍
Yes it does!
@@PandaMotorworksthanks 👍
Will this fit a 1.6t soul also?
Yes

If it’s the open top one as shown in this video it’s likely pulling in hot engine bay air because the top isn’t sealing to the hood.
@@isaiahmongeon7214 it is sealing cause I see a line on the inside of the hood ! still sluggish. Bad concept, wasted my money IMO
Nah not sealed also it does take some miles for the ecu to get adjusted

The car is only making 180 horses also not helping your cases
any plans on making anything for the 2022 forte gt?
The 2022s have the same motor it shouldnt be too different
This will fit the 2022 Forte GT!

would i have to get it tuned after?
Nope!
I cant find my 10 mm
The struggle is real!😅
Is this carb legal?
Hell nah 🤣
Does these intakes fit pro ceed gt 2015 ?
Don't think so
Can we get a dyno pull
Doing an intake is honestly negligible ( unless tuning the car). It’s more so done for the induction noises
@@so_vexed i mean this is a 1.6L turbo so i would assume this would be a decent hp increase with a tune

Tork is making 500hp
Ok stock ecu can go cap 10 hp over the tune really just open it up
Did I miss it? The sound was the same to my ears. Only heard like a second of throaty noise.

If u disconnect the rcv and put a small filter there instead of closing it off its incredible the turbo notices this thing makes
@mikelade1272 can you make a video to see
I couldn't tell any actual difference in the sound.
Not worth then money unless u stay stockish

These mods are so stupid. Unless you make changes to the computer so it understands how much fuel is going in, it will just be sluggish.
