Jason, We did the CP 14 day cruise in October of 2022 Quebec to Fort Lauderdale. It's all subjective as to each person's experience but we found the Palm Dining Room outstanding and after 38 cruises we do have past history to draw on. I'm in agreement with you on the Crown Grill, but in all fairness our server had to many tables. Sabatini's if it is the same Dining Room Manager you couldn't be more right. He and our server were outstanding especially after there was an issue with my wife's order. They couldn't do enough for the both of us to make it right. We walked out of the dining room knowing that we were going to back later in the cruise. The buffet was a buffet where I was okay with it and the service people could not have been more attentive to our needs and I on this cruise made it a point to take names to highlight them in filling out the end of cruise survey as well as tipping several of them individually.
It really is about everyone’s perspective, and we all compare vs our other experiences. I have said food is subjective and I do think it’s changes from week to week. (The experience) We just got off the Celebrity Equinox and we had a great time. I couldn’t help but compare the two and while I like Celebrity better overall, the food is very close in our opinion. And we were in the Blu vs the Main Dining Room. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Thank you for watching
I’m going on the Caribbean Princess in a month. Will definitely ask for the Coral dining room. May have to try Sabatini’s even though it costs extra. I can say the Eggplant parmigiana is great. I was on the Emerald Princess in January and in quarantine because of Covid. Princess does quarantine very well. If I ever get Covid again I want to quarantine on a Princess ship. Every package possible is active while there with no additional charges. Private balcony room. One night I decided to order the eggplant parmigiana from Sabatini’s. Absolutely wonderful. I was also able to get the lobster from the main dining on that formal night. Thanks for the rundown of the Caribbean Princess dining. Great review.
Our favorite dining room manager Claudio (Italian) on the Discovery princess not sure if he still there, we had him twice and the 2nd time I went looking for him to be able to get the same time and dining table every night to avoid standing in line waiting for a table, we love to meet our waiting staff and experience great service. He accommodated us without hesitation and took care of us every night with special treats at the table and not forgetting my spicy serranos chilis. The best the wonderful conversation we had. I wish him well wherever he is now. We are scheduled for the Emerald in Feb 2024. Your story about Sabatini’s reminded me of Claudio he was the same and really made us feel special, it was his home. ❤

Steakhouse, food great , server came off canned answers and just came off a bit fake to me. Service was okay. Buffet staff great food horrible, no flavor. The Indian food was good. I still say it was cultural. We are Latin, most our cruises are out of New York or Miami. They read the room to the passengers. I’m on the Caribbean Princess in January, hoping for a better buffet. Jason we were on the same cruise. Palm dinning table for two at 5pm. This was our reservation for two months on the princess app. The day we got on the ship the reservation was deleted. We were told that we now had shared table every night. The service was so bad the dinning room was half empty most nights with tables for two sat empty. Still had to beg for a table for two, I don’t understand it.. Dine my way is a big joke. Will never sail on that ship again.
I appreciate you sharing your experience, I really thought it was us. I asked if it’s Dine my way and you are requiring me to make a reservation every night it isn’t dine my way. If looks could kill….lol We didn’t demand to be seated, we understand there could be a wait, I just didn’t want to be locked into a time every night. The young lady told us because we didn’t make reservations it would be a 2 hour wait, walked into the dining room and it was half full like you mentioned. 20 mins later they magically found us a table. Oh well, we moved onto another dining room and I have to say it was fantastic. We actually like Princess and I am going to book the new Sun Princess but the Caribbean Class just isn’t for us anymore. We just got back recently from Carnival Luminosa to Alaska. The food was horrible. We were often hungry and I ended up eating lots of ice cream cones, burritos each day.
My birthday is approaching and I wanted to do the balcony dinner but I wanted a late dinner. Does anyone know the latest time slots because I don’t see it in the app and I’m planning this the 1st day of the cruise.
I am not sure it’s available the first day of of your cruise (might want to call Princess) Because you call and tell them the time (we did I think 7 to 7:30 pm, don’t see why you can’t do 8 pm if you wanted to) you board and confirm the day, the time, and what you want to order. I will have to dig it up but I think it said something that they needed 24 hours notice. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.
Just came back from 15 day TA cruise on Caribbean Princess. Been cruising Princess for over 40 years and was routinely disappointed in quality of food overall. Don’t know who their target audience was……..but seriously missed the mark with me and my traveling party.
I just booked tonight and I want to cancel. I never cruised with Princess. Many with celebrity and RC. I am appalled at the reviews of this ship. I thought this was a 5 star ship. I havent been happy with RC food lately, and always liked Celebrity but no cruises for Christmas week leaving out of Orlando. Overall, what did you think?
@@debbiemartin2026 it’s an older ship…….doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but I still had a wonderful time with lots of great people. Live on the wild side and enjoy the experience. The people are fabulous!
I was on the same cruise. I lost weight. The food was very bad,so much stale pastry’s. The ice cream was watery ice milk. The main dinning was so so,hit and miss. The buffet was the worse. No more princess cruises for me!
I never did Princess and just booked a cruise today bc my agent is off tomorrow and the cabins were low for Christmas week, How the heck can I even look forward to this cruise with such horrible reviews.’ It’s old, the food is bad….ugh

Which cruise lines has the best cruise to Caribbean from Galveston - buffet food especially where we usually eat for convenience?

What did the restaurant manager do you never told us? The one that you didn’t like.
Ultimate dining…too bad you have to drink that much. Would be nice to have the dinner with an option for drinks.
I’m sure the tartar sauce / ranch dressing was a mistake. No one would put tartar sauce at a salad station unless they thought it was ranch dressing 😂
