I followed suit for most of my adult life but quickly discovered that it's hard to beat a box brownie mix and a couple of years ago I got addicted to cake mix cookies. LOL. A little secret I learned from Chef John at Food Wishes. You need a web page and you should give all measurements on the web page so you can generate views on your website. It’s not mean but it gives you and the viewer a great opportunity to view all your other wonderful recipes without you having to re-write down in the description area. PS-Another lesson I learned from “Frugal Fit Mom” is to make sure you get a business license for your UA-cam and website income so you can write off the food items you buy to create new content.

I heard they say when you’re baking a white or yellow cakes. To use the whole eggs for the yellow. And the white cake use only the whites. Is that true? Definitely this I’m going to try to get out of the house for some mason jars. Where did you get yours if you don’t mind me asking? I’m not confident on ordering through the mail Amazon. I don’t want it any broken
If you want a plain white then leave out the yolks. They do add a yellow color to your mix. I got my jars from Walmart, but I also grab ones from anywhere else I can find them…dollar store, thrift store, etc😁
I'm by myself. How can you make this into a mug cake? A whole one is too tempting. I guess I could freeze it in individual servings. But if you could help me figure it out that'd be great.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent with these, I went to the shops today, and I looked at the cake mixes, and though I wound pick up a few packets and do some baking over the weekend (by the way they were $6.00 a box) and as I reached for the packets I remembered your video I stopped walked away (saving $18.00) came home and after dinner put your video on wrote down the recipe's so I can make them up tomorrow. When preparing do u add eggs and oil or just milk
The full recipe is in the description box. I also make the cake in the video so that you can see everything that’s needed🙂
Thanks for sharing this, learned a lot.
Can you use just egg whites for the white cake mix and if so how many? Thank you!😊
For one whole egg, use 2 egg whites🙂
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest thank you!
This is great. So basically, its the same as ANY mix, just heavier on the sugar, right?
I make my own sweetener. Trehalose (healthy for u) and monk. But its hydroscopic, so I'm on a mission to figure out what to add to make things moist.
Wow you’re on a whole other level than me😳😁
No I'm not. You've got the how to, I've got the why not try. Both are great together@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest
@@JanineMJoi maybe I’ll get there one day lol
Can I use gluten free flour for these mixes?
I don’t see why not. I’ve never used gluten free flour, so just make sure if it doesn’t say 1:1, you may need to adjust the liquid a bit😁
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest thank you for the reply...I'm looking at old videos for premixes. I'm in the make it yourself stage and see some lovely videos I'm going to get ideas from.
@@sheilladunn9424 great! I have a big list of more homemade things that will be coming up soon😁
Thank you for wonderful ideas for an easy pantry refill idea. I love it, God bless 🙏
Also, **** you can screenshot the recipes and folder them. That's what I do. I also print and put it in my recipe book. ❤
Thanks for watching😁
Thank you! Love this!
Thank you!😁
This video was amazing, learned a lot.
So basically you could make the white cake mix and if you decided you wanted chocolate instead you just add a cup of cocoa.
Yes! But you would add 1/2 cup cocoa per cake. The jar contains enough for 2 cakes😁
🥰
😁😁
I wonder how they would freeze 😂You have created a new freezer monster here. I must confess, I only got your granola bars and healthy bites done today. They are in the freezer for now lol husband and I have to test them 🤣 Delicious like everything I have copied and made from your extremely helpful videos. My son is coming tomorrow to raid my one freezer. Better get some rest for another busy week of cooking and freezing! Thank you so much for this one also!❤😂😊
Meal prep is a lot of work for sure! I’m sure you could freeze these after baking just like other cakes😁
I’ve never done mug cakes, so I’m not sure. I bet you could find some good info on Pinterest or just googling it🙂🙂
Hi new sub here. How long does it last on shelf. Box mixes taste funny after a few months of storage. And i would really like to make these. Thank you
If stored properly, they can last around a year. However, I’ve kept stuff longer with no issues 🙂
Thank you again. Jilly
