I have heard that the mighty mouse can be sensitive about things, from another reactor.

You are not alone in noticing these changes. Others have been saying similar things about the viewer counts. I don't think you were being targeted, personally. I appreciate your channel.

There is definitely control on what to push and what don't. I mean it's not shown by proof, but it's obvious that UA-cam is a large platform, so what influences people is controlled for sure (at least in my opinion).
On another note you mentioned Angelina Jordan and in general artists reactions. Now I know this is somewhat obvious but, your reaction to an artist drops from the very first listen to that specific artist. What always remains are the true fans of that artist.
Another thing I want to say is I'm not trying go against what you are saying but I'm rather stating something obvious. But your theory is somewhat true I believe to an extent.

I don't think I've seen as many of your videos pop up as I used to.

Yes, what my channel is for isn't the same as what reactors do, but I have been doing this for 12+ years so I have some observations and maybe some rebuttals.
Hundreds of millions of videos get uploaded to UA-cam a day, a huge percentage of them are small channels, so they have no choice but to automate their systems. I could be wrong, but IMO it's fairly unlikely that they'd 'target' your channel, let alone mine. Same w/ Disney, there are plenty of larger channels that if they'd spend effort on silencing smaller channels, it would be a waste of time...what are the odds that your channel would sway the billions of Disney's potential customers when much larger channels, some of who are negative about Disney, continue to get their numbers?
UA-cam does, however, tweak its algorithms. At the beginning of 2023, my channel saw a SIGNIFICANT drop in views, even among my most viewed videos. Some channels larger than mine noticed it too. Many speculate it's because YT changed their algorithm to encourage short form videos, 'shorts'. If you use multiple social media apps, you see many of them are also 'favoring' short form videos, Instagram's stories is one example, mostly due to the humongous success of Tik Tok, heck even the music industry is looking to tik tok for their next viral artist. Halsey even posted that her label told her they wouldn't release her album unless she had a viral tik tok of one of her songs. She had to literally capture attention in the first 15 seconds of a song in order to appease her label.
My channel continues to have a fraction, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 fewer average views compared to numbers I was getting for years from 2018-2022.
That is to say, perhaps youtube tweaking their algorithm might have had an impact on your numbers, but it's very unlikely that you're getting targeted (shadow banned) by mega corporation Disney for negative reviews.
My most viewed videos, IMO, come from the thumbnails, the 'bait' to bring in a viewer so they can hear the artist I support before they click away. I know this from the comments, a large number saying something to the effect of "Came for the legs, stayed for the voice". I didn't do it on purpose, but it's clear to me the thumbnail is important in drawing in views.
So that's one way you can maybe influence your view counts. How many ''reaction video' thumbnails do you see w/ a reactor who's open mouthed, feigning shock or surprise? There are a ton of them because apparently, it works to capture views.
The other thing you can do is engagement, apparently the algorithm likes when there's activity and repeat viewing etc
It is kind of a bummer for me as I finally got some decent access from my artist, multiple cameras, external microphones (I think she lets me do what I do because I don't pester her for sound, I get my own), so my videos are a lot better than the ones where I used to have to sneak in a camera and rely on the camera's mic for the audio. But it is what it is, we aren't big enough to have say or important enough for us to be able to talk to a human at UA-cam.
That is to say, you aren't the only channel who has seen these drops in views, we are slaves to YT's algorithm, but unless it's a copyright strike (which is often automated, although the only strike I ever received was done manually on a video w/ less than 300 views, go figure), but IMO it's very unlikely it's because of a shadow ban
Hope this helps and I'm looking forward to your next The Warning reaction ;)
    Cheers, Tusk

Hey, HaleysTusk! Thanks for this! Everything you say makes perfect sense, and that could very well be it and I'm totally off-base.
I will say that, for me, it seems too much of a coincidence for UA-cam's pushing of our videos to ebb and flow based on when we've released a video that's critical of a Disney property. If an algorithm is in place to identify and target videos/channels that are negative toward Disney, it would effect all channels, regardless of size.
As far influence/size goes, I did a trailer reaction (which was positive) for Monkey Man. It didn't get that many views, but afterward I received an invitation from Universal to attend one of the critic/influencer pre-screenings for the film. At first, I thought it was a scam, but I checked it out, and it was legit. I couldn't make a screening, but that told me the big studios pay attention to internet reactors more than you'd think, even the smaller ones.
Regarding The Warning, "Disciple" won the last poll, but I've been delayed filming it due to a tornado hit on our community. Hope to have it filmed ASAP! Thanks for subscribing! - Cole

@@randominerecords The difference is "Monkey Man" isn't made by Disney. Their budget is a 'mere' $10 million, a foreign film by 'Thunder roads Films, hardly a big name in Hollywood.
I'd wager they probably don't have a large promotional budget, so their strategy to promote would be to do something like encourage reactors to react to their project, 'free' advertising.
Smaller, more hungry entities would be more likely to reach out to smaller creators to try and stir up a fan base. Disney doesn't have to do that, they have more tools to reach much larger promotional machines, including their own platform. They don't need to go the 'intimate' route.
Take the Warning as an example. I've only been a fan for a couple months, but from what I gather, it all started w/ them making a personal connection to their supporters. I read comments from long time fans about how great the sisters are w/ fans, personable, almost like they are part of their family, The Warning Army. They didn't develop their following through what other bands did, they started small, got some breaks, worked hard, and voila, this 'overnight' sensation' only taking ten years ;). They even insisted their new label allow them to keep their Patreon in order to stay in contact w/ their fans.
When they become HUGE, their long time fans will start seeing that 'personal' touch become less and less, that's just the way it works. The numbers don't allow that intimacy that used to be when they were teenagers playing in front of their most hardened fans.
I continue to see videos I've put my best efforts into get a fraction what my videos used to get even a couple years ago, consistently, better videos, fewer views, I can understand why one might start overthinking 'why'? But I honestly don't think it's a shadow ban in your case.

Cole I'm still here and watching but I did notice you stopped doing Home Free Fridays which has disappointed me. If it's because of a drop in views on their reactions I'm really more disappointed in you. I really thought you enjoyed their music but if it's just all about views & clicks really disappointed

Cole, you aren't imagining these things. One of the reasons I no longer live in the USA (in Belgium now for last 8 years) is because of the stench that permeates everything... you name it, it's taking a beating at the hands of the cancel culture that is pervasive in the States right now. Even something that should be seamless to everyone, an opinion video on your channel is causing you to lose what numbers you have. Disney isn't the be all and end all and hasn't been for many years. All their content isn't perfect and I don't care who hears me say it. I grew up an hour from Disneyland when Walt was still alive and in control. Now is just about the money and no care for the legacy anymore. It's like that with everything there. Most of you have no idea that while people want to visit, once they come back they are shocked at just how rude and arrogant American's are. I know this is more than what you expected from me, but you asked. America isn't FREE and hasn't been for a long time. Nothing there is even remotely fair and God help you if you say it out loud while you live there as someone will take exception to it. The question I have for you, is this. What do you think about the fact that a small channel such as yours got hit for something that should have been so benign? It's not like you have millions of subscribers as some channels do. It stinks and if you can't voice your own opinion in public, then freedom of speech no longer exists along with a whole lot of other things. And American's were worried about becoming Socialist....how about the country becoming more of a Dictatorship??? With the President being held up by the strings of others that are really in control? They must control the narrative at all costs. You can't see it from the inside, but I see it from Europe and it's genuinely scary.
