AGREED! It makes it so much easier to get rid of the bad foods when I know what I can substitute it with. Cause sometimes you just crave the crunch, salt or sweetness and you can get that satisfaction from these healthier options, but you have to know what they are.

Thank you for your video. I'm 77, and for the first time in my life, I'm slightly overweight. My problem is not with food, but with sugar. I'm a sugar addict and it's killing me. Not good for my neuropathy (I'm not diabetic), not good for my general wellbeing. Finally, thoroughly sick and tired of feeling bloated, and fat, and drained of energy, I decided to stop the insanity. On Jan. 3, 2024, I began intermittent fasting, bought some trekking poles, and began walking. Already, I feel so much better. In the past, I jogged for seventeen years and quit, mainly because I consumed too much sugar that robbed me of my energy. They say you're never too old to learn! Thank you for helping me get on the right track. I'm looking forward to a younger, healthier me!

Thank You for your kind time and sharing. By the way my name is Johnny, I lived in Chicago, Illinois all my time. Except while I was in the USA military. I can't imagine if there are other better places in the USA that is better? Right now Chicago is over populated too much traffic probably equal to LA or New York, etc etc. Why to move anywhere else? I am going to get into more baking my food and preparing my food at home and avoid restaurants. Nice chatting with you!

You have changed my life !!!
I've lost 50 lbs. following your simple commen sense program. I found you Jan. 2022.
I had a heart attack at age 54, in 2015. I tried every kind of statin and couldn't take the side effects. My LDL cholesterol # went from169 to 113 in 2 1/2 months. I wish i had all the # to share in front of me I cant remember them for sure but it is amazing. My Dr. was shocked at the numbers and the weight loss in a short amount of time. I work out 2 days a week with weights and 1 day a HIIT workout "for seniors "😊
Thank you so much for what you do!!!

I am the lady that is 77.and I did mention drinks as long as they are sugar-free the light colored ones are better for you than the dark cola. They used to have Sierra mist sugar free which I used to buy all the time here in porterville all of a sudden it's out of business and there's no more of those so now it is starry.

Don’t panic there is lots of good advice online. Obviously be careful what channels you watch but use your common sense to determine the wheat from the chaff. I am overweight and was concerned as I am in my 50’s that I might also be prediabetic . Anyway fortunately I am not or at least not yet. So I lost 36 pounds last year via interval fasting for me that meant eating in a 9 hour window quite simple if you push your breakfast closer to lunchtime around 10.45 ish …..everyone is different but it works if you eat foods that healthy ie high organic plant based diet with whole proteins and I am guessing if you prediabetic be very cautious about carbs ie bread/pizza/rice/pasta etc. There are hacks you can use to minimise blood sugar spikes such as eating a green salad with vinaigrette before eating any carbs and moving around 10 minutes after a meal. Sounds a little odd but apparently science backs up fact these hacks and similar can help. But if you not a healthy BMI most important thing to do is loose excess pounds and exercise such as walking or dancing etc eat healthy and dont forget many people do to get 8 hours sleep that helps body heal and should aid weight loss. We all know how we give into tempting foods that we know arent good for us when we tired or moody…….well I know I do . Good luck and hope you find a path to a normal blood sugar level that works for you. Check out Tim Spector he has a channel that interesting and discusses lots of health/ food /blood sugar topics. 😊

Just eat whole food. 1 piece of fruit after a meal. 2 meals a day. Meat, veggies or bread no pasta. Just whole foods. Water no alcohol. Buy Ceylon cinnamon several times a day to control yr sugar levels. You can reverse it. I did.

I’ve been sharing this information with my family for years. I watch so many family members, die of cardiovascular disease and diabetes to name a few. I change the way I eat in Avoid Foods that I seen them eat over the years. I have a nickname they call me the food police. I don’t want to be but if it’s hard to see your loved ones eating foods that are only going to damage that help in the long run. Thanks for sharing happy healthy eating.🙏🏽🥗🥒🍃

Loved your video and part of the reason is when you tell us what NOT to eat you tell us WHY and what we can eat instead, but I live in the UK and a lot of the items we don’t get here…yet, I already drink milk alternative and on my cereal. I have had two TIA 14 years ago and recently been diagnosed with angina. I’m 69 and disabled so I can’t do much exercise but I do get out most days and try to walk for about an hour but it’s not the type of walking where I can challenge my heart rate. I am also pre diabetic but all I was told I cannot eat sausage or bacon. Also I shouldn’t be eating lots of fruit but I love fruit and I eat it everyday. I like that you showed us coconut ice cream, like an alternative to full fat ice cream. I would love those but we are way behind America here in the UK.

I’m an obese former Marine and I have a nephew in his first week of bootcamp. I want to drop some weight by his graduation. I was eating a lot of the bad stuff on impulse. I’m going to take your advise and take notes from your video to carry around. Usually a lot of people want to unload a bunch of crap on you. But I’m not going to use that excuse anymore. My way obviously didn’t work and a recent painful but not full fledged gallbladder attack is motivating me to change . Scrambled eggs in the microwave with loads of cheddar cheese and bacon with drippings was the culprit and man did I pay. God bless you sir.

Here is something to consider. I recently went on a trip overseas. Before I left I had a lot of stomach issues. Several days into my trip I stopped having issues. 3 days after I returned my issues were back. It’s the food in the US. I started eating organic everything and guess what? My stomach issues are gone.

Hey Maria, thanks for writing in and great question! First we recommend consuming Curcumin, the active compound in Turmeric, which happens to be more bioavailable anyway. But in terms of your question, it does have some promise! pulse.ly/yisfxfc1qw Best of luck and thanks for watching!

I always make smoothies using whole strawberries, sometimes throw in other berries with it (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry) rather than juicing, since I also consume the fiber with it, so it is more filling than just the juice.

Thank you for this video. Over the last 2 years, I’ve been incorporating more plant based meats in an effort to transition away from meat. I couldn’t help but think I may be doing more harm than good health-wise since the plant based meats are ultra processed. What are your thoughts about using an air fryer for meats/potatoes/veggies?

    (from weight loss perspective)
the moment you tell people not to eat this and that, is the moment where people start craving. Givin up after a short period and binge eat alle that crap again. It's about learning to eat whatever you want at the right amount and not to eat too fast.
Though it might be working for someone to restrict yourself, i did it myself and it always fails in the end. Now i eat mostly healthy, but still eat ultra processed food from time to time, and it works better for me.
    have a nice day

Since living in the USA, our European palates have discovered many more spices and spicy foods. We are used to herbs, more than spices. So, I wonder if there are spices to stay away from, because so many restaurants tend to hype tasty dishes that hide the basic (natural) food flavor. Is there such a list to beware?
