Thank you for your video. I'm 77, and for the first time in my life, I'm slightly overweight. My problem is not with food, but with sugar. I'm a sugar addict and it's killing me. Not good for my neuropathy (I'm not diabetic), not good for my general wellbeing. Finally, thoroughly sick and tired of feeling bloated, and fat, and drained of energy, I decided to stop the insanity. On Jan. 3, 2024, I began intermittent fasting, bought some trekking poles, and began walking. Already, I feel so much better. In the past, I jogged for seventeen years and quit, mainly because I consumed too much sugar that robbed me of my energy. They say you're never too old to learn! Thank you for helping me get on the right track. I'm looking forward to a younger, healthier me!

Don’t panic there is lots of good advice online. Obviously be careful what channels you watch but use your common sense to determine the wheat from the chaff. I am overweight and was concerned as I am in my 50’s that I might also be prediabetic . Anyway fortunately I am not or at least not yet. Loved your video and part of the reason is when you tell us what NOT to eat you tell us WHY and what we can eat instead, but I live in the UK and a lot of the items we don’t get here…yet, I already drink milk alternative and on my cereal. I have had two TIA 14 years ago and recently been diagnosed with angina. I’m 69 and disabled so I can’t do much exercise but I do get out most days and try to walk for about an hour but it’s not the type of walking where I can challenge my heart rate. I am also pre diabetic but all I was told I cannot eat sausage or bacon. Also I shouldn’t be eating lots of fruit but I love fruit and I eat it everyday. I like that you showed us coconut ice cream, like an alternative to full fat ice cream. I would love those but we are way behind America here in the UK.
I’m an obese former Marine and I have a nephew in his first week of bootcamp. I want to drop some weight by his graduation. I was eating a lot of the bad stuff on impulse. I’m going to take your advise and take notes from your video to carry around. Usually a lot of people want to unload a bunch of crap on you. But I’m not going to use that excuse anymore. My way obviously didn’t work and a recent painful but not full fledged gallbladder attack is motivating me to change . Scrambled eggs in the microwave with loads of cheddar cheese and bacon with drippings was the culprit and man did I pay. God bless you sir.

Hi.Thanks for sharing n enlightening! I wait for your videos n love them. I believe in eating local n home made most of the time. It really makes a lot of difference on our health.Stay blessed.

Here is something to consider. I recently went on a trip overseas. Before I left I had a lot of stomach issues. Several days into my trip I stopped having issues. 3 days after I returned my issues were back. It’s the food in the US. I started eating organic everything and guess what? My stomach issues are gone.

I always make smoothies using whole strawberries, sometimes throw in other berries with it (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry) rather than juicing, since I also consume the fiber with it, so it is more filling than just the juice.
Thank you for this video. Over the last 2 years, I’ve been incorporating more plant based meats in an effort to transition away from meat. I couldn’t help but think I may be doing more harm than good health-wise since the plant based meats are ultra processed. What are your thoughts about using an air fryer for meats/potatoes/veggies?
(from weight loss perspective) the moment you tell people not to eat this and that, is the moment where people start craving. Givin up after a short period and binge eat alle that crap again. It's about learning to eat whatever you want at the right amount and not to eat too fast. Though it might be working for someone to restrict yourself, i did it myself and it always fails in the end. Now i eat mostly healthy, but still eat ultra processed food from time to time, and it works better for me. have a nice day
Thank you so much I really do appreciate your knowledge teaching on how to eat healthier be healthier. Love it!!!❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽 This is my goal and I’m going to achieve this goal to become the best I can be!
Since living in the USA, our European palates have discovered many more spices and spicy foods. We are used to herbs, more than spices. So, I wonder if there are spices to stay away from, because so many restaurants tend to hype tasty dishes that hide the basic (natural) food flavor. Is there such a list to beware?
Great, I really appreciated your information, I haven’t been feeling good I thought I was eating good. But now I see why I’m not feeling good. Thank you Rick

Here is something to consider. I recently went on a trip overseas. Before I left I had a lot of stomach issues. Several days into my trip I stopped having issues. 3 days after I returned my issues were back. It’s the food in the US. I started eating organic everything and guess what? My stomach issues are gone.

Hey Maria, thanks for writing in and great question! First we recommend consuming Curcumin, the active compound in Turmeric, which happens to be more bioavailable anyway. But in terms of your question, it does have some promise! pulse.ly/yisfxfc1qw Best of luck and thanks for watching!

You're welcome! Air friers are great 👍
loved this information. I hope it will help me to stop eating the chips knowing why they are bad for me! You are so helpful!
Thank you @brendapayne9198 - Wishing you the best of luck. Sometimes it's mind over matter. I believe in you! 👍
(from weight loss perspective)
the moment you tell people not to eat this and that, is the moment where people start craving.

Since living in the USA, our European palates have discovered many more spices and spicy foods. We are used to herbs, more than spices. So, I wonder if there are spices to stay away from, because so many restaurants tend to hype tasty dishes that hide the basic (natural) food flavor. Is there such a list to beware?
Thank you dear Dr🌹
Great, I really appreciated your information, I haven’t been feeling good I thought I was eating good. But now I see why I’m not feeling good. Thank you
Rick
