I was 8 and my brother would play re3 on the PS1 at night with all the lights off and at the time it was one scary game and Nemesis always freaked me out. I just played the demo and man, they really recaptured the horror. I can't wait to play through this.
I think these remakes should include a port of the OG version on whatever system the game is being bought on. Something extra for the fans and especially newcomers who maybe want to take a blast to the past.

I just played RE2, when you reach Kendo's shop there's a letter from Jill and you get a Trophy for grabing the memo, adding a bit of story and tying both Re2 and Re3, think thats's soooo cool! Eager to see Kendo's role in Re3

Texas Made Idk, they seemed to have copied and pasted a lot of stuff. All the zombies look EXACTLY the same from RE2, a lot of environment assets are reused (umbrella signs and food posters) also when i looked at Nemesis run, his “hefty” walk style was exactly like Mr X.
jon doe Capcom said that in a lot of interviews. So yeah is confirmed. And the people who were able to play the demo for 2 hours in February confirmed if you drop nemesis he will give special items.
Spike V1 every single journalist that defeated him said that he does drop special items. They just couldn’t tell what was, there are a lot of them who talked about it. And even one of the producers of the game confirmed that he will drop loot in some non story related encounters. So no, it’s not just a rumor.

I would of definately got the collectors edition if it cane with a nemesis statue instead of Jill. I love jill but a nemesis statue would of put it over the top! Or better yet Jill fighting Nemesis would of been insane..

1 huge thing you need to know : There is an "elephant restaurant" poster in the demo. This is a reference to outbreak, file 2. Maybe.....eluding to a new outbreak game or remake? :o
Dabbing Cadaver if you look to the right in the start of the demo and exit the train from there you can see a poster making a reference to the terminator and the alien(you can see it even if you exit the train normally but the spot I'm talking about is more lit and can be spotted easily)
Considering they hade a big RE3 Easter Egg in RE2 I wouldnt be surpriced or dissapointed if that happend. Only got a glimps of it back in the day, but it seems awesome
Honestly I never played the Resident Evil games because of their inherent difficulty, I'm a pretty casual gamer for the most part. Having optional modes like this is a great idea, it allows more people to play it and considering they're likely casual gamers; they'll still have a good amount of difficulty with it, maybe even almost as much as the regular mode for the regular players. I've always followed the RE franchise and loved watching my cousin and his friends plaay them when I was a kid, but never liked playing them because they were too inherently difficult.

I love how the game plays like RE2 but still has improvements that drastically make the game better: the dodge mechanic for instance, in RE2 it was so frustrating to avoid zombies by running circles around them. Well they remade the games while staying true to the original games. Just like the og RE2 didnt have a dodge, the remake doesnt have it. Same for the RE3 remake
I cant be the only one loving the lighting. Her flashlight (is more realistic than 2 by how it spreads with distance) and the types of lights that land on her and the zombies. They all have so many different (light) sources and differentiate and mix together so well.
We need Capcom to remake the original Resident Evil starring Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Exploring the Mansion over the shoulder and have the whole trilogy on parallel would be great. Also, remake The Clock Tower. The level of Sherry in RE2:Remake was a good enough to remake a Hide n Run game like that on the RE Engine. Just replace Sherry Birkin with Jennifer Simpson and Chief Irons with the with Scissorman. Dino Crisis too.
RE3 was the only out of the franchise where I missed it when it released. This feels like such a great birthday present when the demo comes out on my B-day with forced lock in. lol
A shame early reviews are saying it's not as well executed as RE2. Campaign clocking in at 5 hrs with the multiplayer mode being more of a confusing mess.
@Jaffacus Let's hope so, due to the public demand. My childhood memories of RE3 is also on the Mercenaries mode where I can grind to get all super weapons and unlimited ammo. So it will be delightful if this mode will be released.
Capcom confirmed that safe rooms are safe but they emphasized that there is a difference between a safe room and a save room. Not all save rooms (rooms with a typewriter) are safe. Something to keep in mind.
The only thing that I don't like judging from the demo is the switch of the L1 button. It previously was for knives, grenades - subweapons. Now it is for ammo-change that what is a waste of a button imo. Now you have to extra change weapons so you can use em. Idk very inconvenient...
Agreed. Would've preferred the flashlight was manually activated and pressing L1 turns it on. There is a lot of areas in demo where it is dark and the flashlight isn't even used. Ammo switching can easily be done by aiming _and then_ pressing L1. Right now, having L1 only for ammo switching is a waste since apparently the grenade launcher is the only weapon that can change ammo types.
Resident Evil 3 is my favorite. Pre-ordered that Collectors edition day 1. I CANT WAITTTTTTTTTTT. Jill Valentine is my favorite character of the Franchise.
At this point. RE 4, 5, & 6 will be remade. I never had the chance to play 0, 1, 2, 3. So these remakes really makes these fun. Hopefully if they do remake 4, 5, and 6 (especially 6 they could 100% make things better, and also my hopes aren't that high) as I would love to replay remaked versions.

I have an xbox 1 x and a samsung qled and yes. It makes a huge difference. I have my old xbox and it doesnt look as detailed. I'd say it's worth it if you have a good 4k tv

It's actually not RE3: Nemesis; for nowhere in this REmake's title is the word-Nemesis... Not to be a nit-pick but instead b/c it actually makes sense. Seeing as Nemesis has had a complete overhaul, which is not just the cosmetic deviations, but actually how he (re)acts completely!! From the limited stalker sections (only/mainly) in the early game, down to the combat encounters/ boss fights. It's criminally short, but the blistering pace in which it plays makes up for that w/a high opportunity for replays & speed-runs.

Could never finish RE3 on ps1 back then... always hit the reset button every time nemesis came i... just couldn’t. Anyways got older then had a ps3 bought RE3 again and ashamed to say but i beat it on easy mode. Still can’t wait for RE3 on ps4. Almost there.... love your vids man! Yeah, the game looks great and all but I agree with that. It makes me afraid that they rushed the game in order to make that resistance shit which makes me angry.
DJ Weapon I think they’re on about Live Selection more than anything. It did drastically change what happened and how Jill interacts with Carlos. But, personally, I don’t see the point of being mad about it.
@@IconiqueBloomie how they've talked about "live selection" is still iffy and vague. They said it was "confirmed to be removed." and never said anything else. My guess _was_ that there would still be choices, but they will now be in real time and implicitly stated rather than dedicating a 10 second sequence of choosing explicit binary choices. Then the demo put a giant *X to doubt* on that guess since despite having two ways of going back to the burning alley (through Moon's Donuts or the fire escape into the storage room) they arbitrarily blocked the latter forcing you to go to the former.

I played the RE 3 demo recently and I had a blast even going back to play it a second time to do better than I Had originally. I will admit I’ve never played a resident evil game before and this will be my first, I’m super excited to jump into this game on April 3rd!
My favorite thing about re3 back in the day was to beat it, and go through mercenaries a couple times to build up money, to get some unlockables in the main game. I loved that you had to beat it to unlock it. And only for the same difficulty to do it. I beat on easy. But I couldn't get normal mercenaries until I beat on normal. I am not sure it will be a dealbreaker.. but it will be sorely missed.
Will it have a physical release at all or just digital... I am looking forward to playing the Resident Evil III Remake too... Gonna be so great and I can't wait to see on how it plays out...

well I think the way they are doing this is if they take something out there putting something else in like they take out mercenaries mode and they put in residence is they take out the multiple endings but they let you play as a another character so they're doing if we take something out of the game we have to add something else in
the new Jill looks more like someone that would actually survive a RE scale event, she kinda looks german-ish, idunno. the old Jill is showing a little too much skin but heeey, it was the 90s, i can't complain, loved that design.
Someone commented on another video that said that Jill is half French and half Japanese, her father is French and her mother is Japanese. Despite that being said she doesn't have any hint of Japanese features from her mother.
Picked up this game recently on Steam for 10 bucks. Haven't really used the dodge in normal mode. Need to rely on it more in advanced. Also love how the zombies move more organically. Like you feel every headshot counts😅. Only played RE6 before, but that was too much campaign for me if that makes sense.
Will this game have a performance mode like how borderlands 3 did on the pro consoles? I just got a PC and it's hard to decide to get games for that or for my X1X.
No. It's because it's ridiculous tô have a police officee fighting zombies and monters in that old outfit. And they are not lazy since that old outfit will be an alternate option for the player tô use. Just use it and STFU.

After playing the Demo it makes me feel like playing the whole game... And what my expectations are all correct... RE3 on PS1 is the first RE game I ever played followed by RE4.... Damn the game is very true to the original... the feel is still the same but now it's on HD... at first I was kind of Dissapointed that they replaced Julia Voth as Jill but now I preferred Sasha Zatova's face more because it's more accurate.... I notice that her new design is growing on me and I love it... The combat style is quite good especially the dodge system... This game and RE2 Remake does have the same engine but with different feels... RE2 Remake is the best right now but I believe RE3 Remake will be the best now... Can't wait to get my Collectors Edition... too bad it will be delayed because of the Corona Virus

Played the demo. Safe rooms are still safe (sort of). The reason I say it sort of still safe is because Nemesis won't enter the safe room, but he will still stay in close proximity. For example, Mr.X would notice that you entered a safe room, so he just casually walks away and enters other rooms in the RPD. Nemesis on the other hand, will either wait for you outside the door or he will wait until you leave the building and then cut you off as you roam the streets.
Resident evil 3 was always my favourite! I Loved the in city environment, it felt so much less confined. Although the game might be too large to remake with this engine (not a programmer so what do I know!?) but Code Veronica would be amazing as well.
Survival tip after playing the demo, if you keep your camera on nemesis he does not jump past you. Also everything can be dodged And I've also found all 20 dolls happy hunting xD

Thumps up just for that last min RE Original Safe Room theme song which felt a song from Mass Effect at first lol. When I heard it I felt really nostalgic.
Never finished RE3 but Mercenaries in RE4 started with Leon fighting in one of 4 main locations from the game- The Village, The Castle and 2 different Island stages. You could unlock other characters with a 4 star rank and the Hand Cannon if you got a 5 star rank on each level. Each stage had a different time limit although you could get extra time by finding the clock icons spread across each map. The other characters to unlock were Ada, Krauser, Hunk and Wesker, who had the largest arsenal and best move set of any character. it was a blast to play and if you can get a copy of RE4 on sale I suggest giving it a try...

The demo is amazing... the atmosphere is chilling and the map is laid out well. It plays really well on my system (Ryzen 5 1600X, 32 GB of RAM (3200 Mhz OC) and a liquid cooled 1070 Ti). The graphics and audio even seem to have been improved from last year's RE2: Remake. I will buy this once it comes out (unless that other virus ends the world!).

It made sense that they scrapped it with Mr. X and kept it with Nemesis. Mr. X can't use those parts, so why would he have them?

I love how the game plays like RE2 but still has improvements that drastically make the game better: the dodge mechanic for instance, in RE2 it was so frustrating to avoid zombies by running circles around them. Here I can dodge and retaliate:)Can't wait to play this game. Bring the Toilet paper because I am going to shit myself lol :)

Well they remade the games while staying true to the original games. Just like the og RE2 didnt have a dodge, the remake doesnt have it. Same for the RE3 remake

I cant be the only one loving the lighting. Her flashlight (is more realistic than 2 by how it spreads with distance) and the types of lights that land on her and the zombies. They all have so many different (light) sources and differentiate and mix together so well.

Also, remake The Clock Tower. The level of Sherry in RE2:Remake was a good enough to remake a Hide n Run game like that on the RE Engine.

A shame early reviews are saying it's not as well executed as RE2. Campaign clocking in at 5 hrs with the multiplayer mode being more of a confusing mess.

@Jaffacus Let's hope so, due to the public demand. My childhood memories of RE3 is also on the Mercenaries mode where I can grind to get all super weapons and unlimited ammo. So it will be delightful if this mode will be released.

Capcom confirmed that safe rooms are safe but they emphasized that there is a difference between a safe room and a save room. Not all save rooms (rooms with a typewriter) are safe. Something to keep in mind.

The only thing that I don't like judging from the demo is the switch of the L1 button. It previously was for knives, grenades - subweapons. Now it is for ammo-change that what is a waste of a button imo. Now you have to extra change weapons so you can use em. Idk very inconvenient...
Agreed. Would've preferred the flashlight was manually activated and pressing L1 turns it on. There is a lot of areas in demo where it is dark and the flashlight isn't even used.
Ammo switching can easily be done by aiming _and then_ pressing L1.
Right now, having L1 only for ammo switching is a waste since apparently the grenade launcher is the only weapon that can change ammo types.

Resident Evil 3 is my favorite. Pre-ordered that Collectors edition day 1. I CANT WAITTTTTTTTTTT. Jill Valentine is my favorite character of the Franchise.
When you “Perfect Dodge” with a knife Jill has an animation where she double cuts the enemy she dodged.
At this point. RE 4, 5, & 6 will be remade. I never had the chance to play 0, 1, 2, 3. So these remakes really makes these fun. Hopefully if they do remake 4, 5, and 6 (especially 6 they could 100% make things better, and also my hopes aren't that high) as I would love to replay remaked versions.

RE2 was the most well received game of last year, yet it still didn’t get GOTY. (Well, at the Game Awards at least). This game could be the greatest thing ever but I’m pretty sure either Cyberpunk or LOU2’s GOTY awards have already been made, and get polished everyday

I have an xbox 1 x and a samsung qled and yes. It makes a huge difference. I have my old xbox and it doesnt look as detailed. I'd say it's worth it if you have a good 4k tv

It's actually not RE3: Nemesis; for nowhere in this REmake's title is the word-Nemesis... Not to be a nit-pick but instead b/c it actually makes sense. Seeing as Nemesis has had a complete overhaul, which is not just the cosmetic deviations, but actually how he (re)acts completely!! From the limited stalker sections (only/mainly) in the early game, down to the combat encounters/ boss fights. It's criminally short, but the blistering pace in which it plays makes up for that w/a high opportunity for replays & speed-runs.
Love this game, love your content (been watching for over 3 years now, jeez it’s been that long already?!).

Anyways got older then had a ps3 bought RE3 again and ashamed to say but i beat it on easy mode. Still can’t wait for RE3 on ps4. Almost there.... love your vids man! DJ Weapon I think they’re on about Live Selection more than anything. It did drastically change what happened and how Jill interacts with Carlos. But, personally, I don’t see the point of being mad about it.
@@IconiqueBloomie how they've talked about "live selection" is still iffy and vague. They said it was "confirmed to be removed." and never said anything else.
My guess _was_ that there would still be choices, but they will now be in real time and implicitly stated rather than dedicating a 10 second sequence of choosing explicit binary choices.
Then the demo put a giant *X to doubt* on that guess since despite having two ways of going back to the burning alley (through Moon's Donuts or the fire escape into the storage room) they arbitrarily blocked the latter forcing you to go to the former.

I played the RE 3 demo recently and I had a blast even going back to play it a second time to do better than I Had originally. I will admit I’ve never played a resident evil game before and this will be my first, I’m super excited to jump into this game on April 3rd!
My favorite thing about re3 back in the day was to beat it, and go through mercenaries a couple times to build up money, to get some unlockables in the main game. I loved that you had to beat it to unlock it. And only for the same difficulty to do it. I beat on easy. But I couldn't get normal mercenaries until I beat on normal. I am not sure it will be a dealbreaker.. but it will be sorely missed.

well I think the way they are doing this is if they take something out there putting something else in like they take out mercenaries mode and they put in residence is they take out the multiple endings but they let you play as a another character so they're doing if we take something out of the game we have to add something else in

Picked up this game recently on Steam for 10 bucks. Haven't really used the dodge in normal mode. Need to rely on it more in advanced. Also love how the zombies move more organically. Like you feel every headshot counts😅. Only played RE6 before, but that was too much campaign for me if that makes sense.
Will this game have a performance mode like how borderlands 3 did on the pro consoles? I just got a PC and it's hard to decide to get games for that or for my X1X.

RE3 on PS1 is the first RE game I ever played followed by RE4....
Damn the game is very true to the original... the feel is still the same but now it's on HD... at first I was kind of Dissapointed that they replaced Julia Voth as Jill but now I preferred Sasha Zatova's face more because it's more accurate.... I notice that her new design is growing on me and I love it...
The combat style is quite good especially the dodge system...
This game and RE2 Remake does have the same engine but with different feels... RE2 Remake is the best right now but I believe RE3 Remake will be the best now...

Played the demo. Safe rooms are still safe (sort of). The reason I say it sort of still safe is because Nemesis won't enter the safe room, but he will still stay in close proximity. For example, Mr.X would notice that you entered a safe room, so he just casually walks away and enters other rooms in the RPD. Nemesis on the other hand, will either wait for you outside the door or he will wait until you leave the building and then cut you off as you roam the streets.

Resident evil 3 was always my favourite! I Loved the in city environment, it felt so much less confined. Although the game might be too large to remake with this engine (not a programmer so what do I know!?) but Code Veronica would be amazing as well.

Never finished RE3 but Mercenaries in RE4 started with Leon fighting in one of 4 main locations from the game- The Village, The Castle and 2 different Island stages. You could unlock other characters with a 4 star rank and the Hand Cannon if you got a 5 star rank on each level. Each stage had a different time limit although you could get extra time by finding the clock icons spread across each map. The other characters to unlock were Ada, Krauser, Hunk and Wesker, who had the largest arsenal and best move set of any character. it was a blast to play and if you can get a copy of RE4 on sale I suggest giving it a try...

The demo is amazing... the atmosphere is chilling and the map is laid out well. It plays really well on my system (Ryzen 5 1600X, 32 GB of RAM (3200 Mhz OC) and a liquid cooled 1070 Ti). The graphics and audio even seem to have been improved from last year's RE2: Remake. I will buy this once it comes out (unless that other virus ends the world!).
