Hi mate Been following you for a while and love your work. I have an a4 b7 sline special edition with MFSW and have been offered an RS4 b7 flat bottom steering wheel like the one in the video . Is it a straight swap and will the airbag work ? I notice you didn’t use the function cable back in
It's a straight swap. Sonetimes depending on the car you might need to use your airbag harnwss from the old steering wheel. The multifunction control will not work as the rs4 is different. I didn't bother to use mine as i plan to add something else on the rs4 buttons

@@TheyCallMeTray you install a paddle shifter steering wheel and then you code it with vcds. If you have multifunctioning steering wheel most of that times it works with coding. If you have simple steering wheel you will need another part ( squib I think this is the part number 8E0953549Q)
@@DavidG-n6q aa mk1. I believe that is single stage airbag like the b6. There are forums talking how to do the wiring from single stage to twin stage airbag wiring
Salutare! Ai reușit sa faci comenzile funcționale? Am un Audi a4 b6 și am montat Spira și calculator cu volan de b7 pe care le-am făcut funcționale... De curând am pus volan de rs4 b7 ca al tău dar comenzile volanului nu funcționează (ma refer butoanele de volum pentru ca cel "s" și cel "set" sunt pentru rs4 și nu le pot face funcționale) mulțumesc!
Salut. Nu am încercat pt că nu folosesc deloc comenzile pe volan dar nu vad de ce nu ar merge. Daca te uiți pe vcds găsești și opțiunea sa activezi butonul s deci cele de volum trebuie sa meargă, teoretic
@@bike23august nu știu de ce nu functioneaza.. Cu volanul de b7 merg comenzile, iar când îl montez pe cel de rs4 b7.. Se aprind luminile ambientale în butoane dar nu functioneaza

I did this change on my RS4 B7, but the buttons are not working... does anyone has done this change? I would really like to know why the buttong wont work if i change the silver RS4 steering on a RS4 B7.

@@cdodsworth is it ppug and play but no multifunction buttons. Personally go for it it you will love it everyday you use the car

Unfortunetly I don't. I custom made it myself and made a bracket to fit it like the original mirror. Works great for the last 2.5 years

Conection and wires are diferent from rs4 b7 steering wheel to audi tt mk1. I dont know wich wire goes on difrents pins

@LLubdeRr you can use vcds. You need to tell the car you have fitted the RS4 steering wheel so you can use the RS4 buttons

You need to find a person with vcds that know how to use it and he can code it for you
