Blacking out Xenon Headlights on an Audi A4 B7!

- In this video I bought bi-xenon (Projector) headlights for my Audi A4 B7 Avant. This is a fun easy upgrade, however you will need OBDEleven (or similar) to code them in!

I also painted the chrome strip black, inside the headlight. I think this worked well and suits the style of the car.

Never seen the box idea for heating up the headlights. May do this with mine next time. Great video
The bulb you say isn't working is actually the DRL! Very early version, but it is a decent light source that will automatically turn on when ignition is on.

i started with my own b7 Project and thought about your audi a few times, looking to get something like this done too
i changed mine to LED H7, and indeed i like how it looks now.
Inner bulb is drl! You just need to add the little switch panel where you'd normally adjust your halogen light level it should have a drl toggle.
Ah that makes sense. On the old lights that was full beam, I just hope this DLR light isn't blinding 🫢
Tape a leaf to your plate you won’t have to worry about ulez then 😂😂😂🍁

tempted to do this myself as I've had a weird one, my left dipped headlight on my B7 doesn't work currently, changed for 3 different new bulbs and still no luck, so gonna have to get the multimeter out :/

Havent watched the whole video yet, but just pauded it to say what you seem to be doing is exactly what I did onmy B7. Did the detango to get rid of the fried egg look, that is a pain but oh so worth it . Did a full projector xenon retrofit and purchased new outer lenses which are really cheap and perfect fit. Now will watch the rest of the video to see if I guessed right. Oh btw I have an RS4 as well so dont give up on the dream of owning one. One day , one day :)

I had a B7 A4 TFSI saloon for a few months and loved it, but unfortunately the engine went (bottom end failure) and I moved on from the platform 😭

I would love to do the honeycomb grill but I've heard it's a bit of a faff with the s-line grills

Hey idk if your still having the hesitation issue but iv just looked though the recall info on my 2005 A4 Avant b7 2l tdi and there's a recall 26D9 which had something to do with stalling and hesitation. Idk if this helps

That’s odd I have just tested my new xenon lights and found the bulbs you said did nothing on yours seemed to turn on my full beams? Although I haven’t installed the two little wires yet?

love the headlights, what wheels size and specs? i'm running rs6 c5 19 inch wheels (they look the same as your 18's) specs are 9j et35 and they rub a little on my left side at the back.

Hi, I recently came across your channel while I was about to buy an A4 B7 170 diesel just like yours, and eventually bought it. However, within 2-3 days, I've noticed a bit of smoke during acceleration and this weird burning rubber smell. Feeling like I've been scammed by the seller, and I'm in a real fix. Saw your vids and thought you might have some advice. Really overpaid for this car, and I'm stuck. Any help or insights you can share would be a lifesaver right now. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Does it get louder when this happens? The dpf might be blocked and its trying to burn it out. It does a cycle on motorway speeds but have a look online to see what your symptoms of that is
