Thanks, this is very helpful! I knew I often approach too early as a hitter, but this really helps with understanding why that's happened and what to do instead.
Dudes, thanks so much for this, as a trainer I spend a lot of time explaining this angles and situations, and I think for beginners there's no way better than this (in a video from different angles) to understand. You guys rock
Again a nice video! I also really ike the way you visualize the topic in the videos! Another advantage of your concept of the 'batter box' and to wait in there is also a more explosive approach. When you force yourself to wait in the batter box, you also force yourself to do an explosive approach. Looking forward to your next video, guys!
Brilliant idea to use the drone and add the graphics with the angles, that made it come to life! I shared this vid with my beach crew - I have been playing beach for quite som time now, and never clearly understood the right side/left side difference until now... not sure how I had that GAPING hole of knowledge, but you guys just helped me so much, so thank you! Here’s another vid idea (maybe I haven’t seen it yet on the channel) - how you THINK about things and make choices. The mental side. For example, in the area of of serving: what is your mindset when you step up, how do you make choices of what type of serve to choose, does that change if the game is close...? So not the “what to do” to improve the physical technique, but the why or “what are your thinking” to up our mental games. This could apply to your routines in prepping for games, whether you get nervous and how to deal with it, what to do after messing up a point or going down a set, etc etc.... You guys have been at all levels of competition, and I think so many of us at all levels would love that advice and guidance and find it invaluable. At the very least I can guarantee my daughter and I who play beach together would! 😁
This was beyond helpful! I have been in quite a hitting slump lately and couldn't figure out what my problem was - I watched this video (and all of your others) and tried this out and I was back to hammering the ball. I tell everyone I can about your videos, they have helped me out so much! Keep it up guys - very, very cool stuff!
Nice video guys, you should also do a vid on step closing hard and footwork when attacking. Too often I’m seeing players when getting a not perfect set lose aggressiveness and settle for a shot or free ball when they could close out ( step close ) and still attack the ball to some degree even if it’s not an ideal set. I feel like it’s a much smarter play to swing even if your set is off the net or too far inside or outside rather then trying to hit an incredibly precise shot or free ball
You r one of the best volleyball youtuber I wud say I have seen many tutorial videos but they dnt explain it with the "factors" n properly jot explaining u just actually changed my tech.thanks full to ur whole team plz try to keep making more videos....wish u a gud luck frm India
Awesome video lads, loved every video and the tips i have learnt from you so far. A suggestion video would be on the importance of service and your routine that goes with it.
Keep up with the good tips guys !!! You seem to love the sport and we admire you !!! Greetings from a group of amateurs who love the sport from Greece !!!
Gostei dessa técnica, vou aplicá-la quando estiver jogando vôlei na praia de Copacabana-RJ- Brasil. Por favor, vocês têm algum vídeo que explique como não afundar na areia ao se deslocar para atacar a bola???
Great tip and love all your videos! But I have a question on being a good partner and where do I call out for my partner to hit? Is it just something I see? Say "line" when the blocker is blocking angle? Or where the defense isn't? Or combination of everything?
Guys, can you explain why there is a less degree of an angle for a right handed hitter on the right side? Does this allow for the hitter to keep a line shot as a possibility?
Thx! The ball often gets too up on me when attacking. Problem is I'm not waiting and I run into position before determining what kind of a set I'm about to get. Will keep this in mind from now on!
comon problem man. you have to be disciplined and wait until the ball is set. but it actually still happens to me as well, even though I play beachvolleyball for 20 years.
Hi. Love love your videos. One thing I've been wanting to ask is how literally high a pass and set should be. Lower passes give you less time to be in the batter's box. The height of the set is subjective. Double question. Thanks guys.
Not sure if y’all check comments anymore but do you typically set up halfway up the court when your pass is way off net or do you scoot back to help your teammates set?
In case the pass erroneously goes into dead center, does the 45 degree rule for left side players still hold? In that case, would I not be too far from the net to approach?
Nice tutorials and great channel overall! Would you guys suggest changing the order of the gather if you've trained it the wrong way for two years? Im right handed and my closing step is with the right foot. I was able to hit rly hard, but after trying to change the footwork, everything is messed up. Is it still worth it?
MCK Volleyball first of all, thx for your reply. no, I didn't mean the torque. I meant in which angle in reference to the net do I attack? I know that the idea is that I approach so I can play hard-driven balls into both corners. so do I face the middle between the two opponents or what?
hi guys thanks a lot for all the videos they are all great. i have a tournament on the 18.02 / and am playing against guys that are mostly indoor players from long time but not a lot of beach. ANY tips to win against those guys even if am not playing beach volley for a long time but am fully motivated:)
SO Can I assume that there virtually shouldn't be hesitation after transitioning - kind of luck being on a catapult, once you get to end of transition then get right back on the approach?
Sorry, an Outside hitter passes then transitions to their approach starting point and immediately approaches to the point of contact - no waiting in batters box:)
one more question - your Jumping tips, Nike Swoosh, finish with rt Arm in left Pocket, Hip Turn, grunt on contact, etc, that's also applicable for indoor right?
Thanks, really Amazing video. I have a big issue, I am 5’5 (166 cm) . I barely jump above the net, any help :( ? I want to spike the ball like pro but always rejected/touched by the net .
You can ask your setter to set the ball further away from the net. So it might not be a vertical attack, but you can still get some good swing to the other side
Great videos! Thank you so much for everything. I'm starting on beach volleyball and your videos are really helpful. I've seen your videos about how to hit but I have one question. When is the prefect moment to jump?? I know it depends on the set, but it's the most difficult part for me. Jumping without the ball I do all the steps quite well, but whit the ball, I focus on it and I forget to jump in the right way, elevating just the half haha. Do you have any tip? Thank you so much! The best from Spain.
This is a very common problem for volley newbies (like me). You can run, jump, hit the ball. But not together. How to meet the ball in the upper point? It just needs to be trained as a separate exercise. Ideally you'd like to have a train mechanism like on the video below, otherwise you just need a partner who will throw you balls at exactly same point and time. ua-cam.com/video/zdRDG-sz2MA/v-deo.html
I am not sure whether that's the best advice. At least this video says 'ANTICIPATE its apex' when speaking of the set. Plus it depends on the set and how fast you're playing, i.e., how high the set is. See this video /w Taylor (same dude so this should be consistent) where he explains his footwork approach: ua-cam.com/video/sn8Bx6asNVY/v-deo.html Bottom line: timing starts a little earlier.
Buenas tardes sería de gran ayuda para los que no hablamos inglés que sean subtitulados sus videos... Muchas Gracias!!! Good afternoon would be a great help for those of us who do not speak English that are subtitled their videos ... Thank you very much !!!
One of the most valuable videos on beach volleyball techniques. This batter’s box thing is great.
So thankful, so thankful, so thankful. Sharing is caring and you two are caring! Keep going and adding content, the following will come.

You guys always explain things so that I can understand them. Great vid.
Love the visual illustrations, they are so helpful!
this really helps a lot for me who's an indoor volleyball athlete and wanna try beach volleyball.

Great tips, thanks!
son altos capos saludo de argentina!!! muchas gracias por los consejos!!!!
Thank you guys for these awesome videos!!
Those are well explained advices, can they apply to indoor ?
Great video guys... again! I will sure pay attention on this the next time I play. Thank you!
Guys, can you explain why there is a less degree of an angle for a right handed hitter on the right side? Does this allow for the hitter to keep a line shot as a possibility?
Absolutely! Thanks for clarifying. Looking forward to the next video!
The McKibbin Brothers Ohhhhh this makes perfect sense. Thanks for the excellent explanation.
Great video guys! Keep em comin! That voice doe 1:03 had me LMAO Hahahaha!
Haha the outtake... Oh ya, and great video!

Good instruction, gonna implement this on the next game
Vou me inscrever com meus alunos aqui no Brasil
Good content and very entertaining. Nice one.
Please, how do you position your hand when you hit the ball, tha is, execute the attack?
Thanks
Hi. Love love your videos. One thing I've been wanting to ask is how literally high a pass and set should be. Lower passes give you less time to be in the batter's box. The height of the set is subjective. Double question. Thanks guys.
Awsome tutorial man!!!
Make video on how to inc. Vertical jump
Ain’t nobody use the batters box like your boy Tri these days.
Thanks guys! This is a problem I’ve been trying to fix! 🤙🏼
So true.
Not sure if y’all check comments anymore but do you typically set up halfway up the court when your pass is way off net or do you scoot back to help your teammates set?
Top Video, thanks

You fixed it? Closing with right foot looks fucked up lol
hi Riley, if I position myself in a 45 degree angle toward the setter, what is roughly my attacking angle? and why?
MCK Volleyball first of all, thx for your reply. no, I didn't mean the torque. I meant in which angle in reference to the net do I attack? I know that the idea is that I approach so I can play hard-driven balls into both corners. so do I face the middle between the two opponents or what?

Any differences with indoor?
Does this applies to indoor volleyball as well?
You bet.
how many time we can play vollyball in our court
Does this also apply to indoor?
SO Can I assume that there virtually shouldn't be hesitation after transitioning - kind of luck being on a catapult, once you get to end of transition then get right back on the approach?

Hey guys - if I have a goofy footed approach, is there a point to working on changing it?
Thanks, really Amazing video. I have a big issue, I am 5’5 (166 cm) . I barely jump above the net, any help :( ?

Posso esperar dentro da caixa de massa com o meu pé direito na frente? Sendo certo.
My coach told me to start running towards the ball once it reaches the maximum height.. is this true?? Please and thank you!
