That Green Bay defense, despite being ranked very high, had games where they didn't show up at all. This game, Pittsburgh, both times against Minnesota, Cincinnati, Tampa.
My wife and I were at that game. We were surrounded by Packer fans who were starting to get a little too obnoxious when the Packers started coming back. That last play was hard to see even though it was right below our seats, most exciting game I have ever seen in person.
As a packers fan even tho we lost, the end of this game was awesome. It was such irony. There was no defense on either side. The offenses were just going up and down the field. The fact that a defensive play won the game was so ironic. It was awesome
The Saints beat the snot out of The Cards who obviously just beat the Packers, then beat perhaps the best team ever to not make the Super Bowl ‘09 Vikings then beat Manning and the Colts by 14 in the Super Bowl. The ‘09 Saints were one of the greatest teams in NFL history. Assuming the Pack would beat the Saints is laughable.

I Mean, Hey, Rodgers Is 'Timeless' So We Will Just Take Our Drafted And In Rare Occasions, Undrafted Rookies, Mold And Shape Them For The Unseeable Future, Then Just Pray They Pan Out" And because of this ridiculous, outdated and often ridiculed philosophy, he has ultimately cost Aaron Rodgers MULTIPLE trips to the SUPER BOWL by taking those prime years and completely flushing them down the toilet. All of this because Ted was incapable of using common-sense to locate and address the "Achilles' Heel" which, of course, was a defense that was unable to keep up with a Once-In-A-Generation Quarterback who was playing unbelievably Out-Of-His-Mind. I honestly did not think that it was at all possible to watch someone of Rodgers' caliber out there and not, at the very least, think to yourself, "Hmm, this guy is pretty good, maybe I should get him some help." I mean C'MON MAN, when you have possibly one of, if not the BEST, MOST ACCURATE and CLUTCH QB of ALL TIME on your side, you should have been doing whatever, and I mean WHATEVER it took to get AARON RODGERS as many Notches AKA Rings as possible in that Discount Double-Check Belt.
The Chiefs/Bills was constantly a close, well-played game with an utterly insane ending. Having four lead changes/ties within the last two minutes is just unmatched. The feeling of "we won/lost" then "we won/lost" then "we won/lost" then "we won/lost" is what makes the Chiefs/Bills the greatest. That roller coaster ride was something we'll probably never see again, especially on that stage.

SMT not when the patriots win (excluding this last season) Plus when the packers win the SB they had a bye week the next year (and we then decided to choke vs the giants )
Well.. neither of these teams were defending Superbowl champs... That would have been the Steelers.. and I can't remember if they were a wildcard that year
I still don't understand how Fitzgerald wasn't penalized for either of those plays against Woodson. I will never understand. He straight up ran him over, twice. In the middle of the field.
I’d just like to point out Charles Woodson won the DMVP even though Darren Sharper had better stats and was an enforcer. In the playoffs Woodson gave up 2 TDs and missed a key late tackle to help lose the game. Also Peyton Manning won the MVP even though Drew Brees had much better stats. In the playoffs Brees was stellar and Manning threw the SB pick 6 to Porter.
