man the Cardinals were a fun team to watch from 2007 - 2009 always getting into some memorable match ups in that 3 year span.
Cardiac Cards in their true form
yep
...2012-2019?
Bob marley mon Not even Close his point is valid because we got to see Prime Fitzgerald with a Determined Kurt Warner at the same time
Passing attack and getting turnovers was superb. Everything else sucked.
so many great games just get lost in time among one another, thanks for reminding all football fans how great this game has been to us
I was there and let me tell you there’s nothing like beating the cowboys and watching them cry
This 2008 Dallas Cowboys team was coming off a 13-3 season and had HIGH expectations from around the league. We’re even super bowl favorites for the NFC. This team was STACKED but did not live up to those expectations
Dominik Mendez that’s every year.
@@williamdavila2264 EEEEEEVVVERY Year
And I loved it!!!! Fuck them Cowboys.
@@tsbreakout8783 shut the fuck up
Hell they couldn’t even make it to one nfc championship game for that matter after being super bowl favorites for years they can’t make it past the divisional round.
6:46 "And the Cardinals come back to within one." I remember hearing that byte in Madden 10. I love finding those little things.
Cardinals packers 2009 wildcard game 51-45 OT
Isaiah Parrish that one is already uploaded on the NFL’s Free Game Fridays playlist
@@TheLocalLt the NFL throwback version?
Eric Sigersmith no but it’s the game in HD with timestamps you can click through for the highlights
can we just appreciate how freaking reliable Larry Fitz was? I mean the guy just carried his team and made heroic play after heroic play and never got enough credit for it. He may have been slightly slower than megatron but i’d say his hands are just as reliable and Larry is arguably better at shorter routes and getting first downs and game managing. Larry is a hometown hero so I might be biased but he was an absolute x factor and always stayed a great humble guy from what I’ve seen.
I root for dallas but man, warner to fitz was such a beautiful thing, they really deserved that ring
I will forever say this. Marion barber was the original beast mode
Larry csonka
Yeeeeeeeeah No
Barber was certainly a load to bring down but if we are talking beast mode original look no further than Jim Brown.
@@tobruh4552 him or bo Jackson
@@ericsigersmith6067 or Earl Campbell. Or Larry Csonka. Or Jim Taylor. Or Mike Alstodt.
These millenial doofuses don't know squat.
This game started and ended on a Cardinals special teams TD… 😳
Lavar arrington brother?
The cowboys punter broke his leg on the last play
He did?
@@ericsigersmith2831 jj Arrington
This was a turning point for that 08 Cowboys team. They were looking unstoppable prior to this game, and the Romo injury really hurt them.
Romo injury was the turning point that season.....the offense became totally stagnant with Brad Johnson as QB, and could not get back into sync once Romo came back, who clearly wasnt 100% throwing the ball when he did come back with the broken finger
The Cowboys always found a way to be stoppable.
@@billsmith7642 Romo came back with a cast and put up 35 vs 49ers then 34 vs seattle. Later on he took the splint off for some reason and wasn't throwing the same and they lost the last 2 games.
To bad T.O. couldn't keep his mouth shut because we could have used him in 2009, as Austin was the only reliable receiver in 09. Of course Witten but he blocked a chunk of the time.
Steve Breaston was super underrated
The best channel on UA-cam! Loving these classic games guys!
Anthony Henry (42) was getting torched all game
All game every game
Phoenix Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys was member NFC East Division rivalry from 1970 through 1993 era
Cardinals were in St. Louis from 1960-1987. They were the Phoenix Cardinals from 1988-1993 before changing to the Arizona Cardinals. If you're talking about nutty division, the NFC West before realignment of 2002 consisted of: SF 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons. 1 geographical western team. Of course the Indianapolis Colts are in the AFC South.
Studa Baker my favorite NFL team back in the early 90s Atlanta Falcons Dallas Cowboys Houston Oilers Los Angeles Raiders and Los Angeles Rams
I remember this one! It's interesting seeing Romo get into trouble because he always wanted to make the best out of every situation. That's how he got a reputation as a guy who put up huge numbers but when the chips are on the line sometimes he can contribute to the team losing. Still, a very good QB. The Cards were a pretty fun team in this period too and it's this stint in Arizona that pretty much clinched Warner being a HOFer IMO.
BTW love the new wrinkle in editing of these videos by basically showing the play and then in the corner you have the official making the penalty call or whatnot.
Vault always trying to adapt!
@@NFLVault you run a fun system lmao
This game had everything. Offense, defense, and special teams all had moments. Some sloppy plays and then some "wow" ones. I can watch this video all day.
Nick folk misses a 36 yard field goal but makes a 52 yard field goal 🤦🏾♂️
That punter is lucky to have a leg
Broke his foot.
Like 99% sure that's not even legal anymore.
Blocking a punt is illegal? Since when? There is no rule violation here. No leaping, no leverage, nothing. Morey just made a great play.
Nobody said blocking a punt is illegal. What I meant was the hit. Yes, it's hell of a play. There was another play like this that hurt a punter as well, and if I remember correctly, the rule was amended to keep the defense from diving "AT" the kicker.
Cameron Chambers yes but as you can see the player dived “AT” the ball. Now if the kicker were to get rid of the ball and he still got hit, then yes, it would be a penalty. It’s like if you hit a qb with a ball, no penalty, but if you hit him after the ball is thrown, unsportsmanlike conduct.
I got free tickets to this game because a kid i coached in flag football. His parents couldn't make the game last second and gave me a pair of seats at the 20 yardline 15th row. Happy i went it was one to remember. Thanks for posting!
I’m a Vikings fan and even I think it’s wild that they beat the cardinals in Arizona 35-14 that year.. with Tarvaris Jackson as QB no less, RIP.
Williams wall was no joke
Incredible game. I still remember that week of football. Miami/Houston as well as ATL/Chicago all came down to the wire on the same day
Is n e one else addicted to these clip videos. Or is it just me lol. I love them.
War damn eagle
Bro miles Austin 😂😂 I feel old 😂😂 he was a good wide receiver
And patrick crayton
@@ericsigersmith6067 until playoffs
Love these throwback game highlights. Would like to see some more from around 2008-2011!
7:46 classic Fitzgerald
I was at this game ain’t was GLORIOUS!
Dansby underrated since auburn
I love the look of natural grass in a dome
Another game showing you how truly great Tony Romo was and another game showing you DeMarcus Ware time and time again came up SMALL in big games.
There are zero legitimate reasons for this video to have 3 dislikes
Cowboy fans.
@@Rockhound6165 again, zero legitimate reasons
Cardinals didn't do so hot either luckily they have Larry
War damn eagle ur right
Week 6 broke our season, we would’ve became champions that year if it weren’t for the injuries we had dealt with after this game
3:50 was that the tuck rule? Garbage call btw
Yep. In today's NFL, it'd be a fumble recovered for a touchdown.
Yes that was the Tuck Rule, which no longer exists
amlnet49 good it’s a shit rule
How did they end up at the 10 yard line tho?!?
Yup, it was the stupid fucking tuck rule. Should have been 14-0 Cardinals. Thankfully it didn't really impact the outcome of the game as the Cards won.
God Damn Fitzgerald went OFF in the 4th quarter lmao
Every time Dallas goes and plays in AZ something weird always happens.
The ending of this game still hurts! Romo and the Cowboys fought hard to come back and force OT. Only to have it end like THAT! lol. I'm so happy NFL Sundays are back!
Dude, Kurt Warner took some nasty hits in this game.
thats why he retired
This was the first nfl game I ever went to. Didn’t know who fitz was before the game, but wore number 11 the rest of my life after
Marion barber was a beast I’m not even gonna lie to you .
We really missed Terence Newman this game
It’s insane how much Marion barber and marshawn Lynch look alike on the field
And tim Hightower looks like lynch
Watching these old highlights makes me remember how good Tony Romo was, especially with 0 help.
Lol he had Witten, Owens (both HOF), marion barber, Andre gurode, ken hamlin, DEMARCUS WARE. He had the help but he always choked
@@Buttsmoker I don't believe it was him choking only thing I seen him fuck up in playoffs was the hold and now NFL has changed the way the do that
Tired of people still making excuses for Romo. He just couldn't get it done when it counted.
@@Buttsmoker so.....ware and Witten (who blocked half the time). Wow, totally made up for his bottom ranked run games, trash olines, and third worse defense in nfl history. T.O. was great, but after his hand surgery in 06 he dropped tons of passes. In fact alot of key passes in both the 06 and 07 playoff games. Crayton of course had the most drops that 07 playoff game, and the second string tight end dropping a td that hit him in the chest.
@@freds.9407 watch my videos on Romos playoff games and maybe you'll shut up and learn the reality of why Cowboys lost. Fyi it wasn't because of Romo.
Fitzgerald in his prime was amazing. My favorite receiver is T.O but Fitz was fantastic man.
People forget how good boldin was too that dude could break tackles I don’t think fitz would have been as good without him
beautiful sound @ 5:20
Exactly why Romo is that man!!!
My first game I’ve went to in my life, good game, Cowboysnation!
This is one of my favorite games of all time
I’m pretty sure this is the only game to end in a blocked punt TD
And thats why its memorable
LJG you must be fun at parties
Michigan vs Michigan state
I meant NFL wise. That ending was insane though
the game is from 10 years ago....
I was only 7 or 8 when this game took place so this is my first time seeing it. Boy was Fitz fun to watch. He and Breaston were such an underrated WR duo. Shame Larry never got the ring he deserved. First ballot legend for sure tho. Also I’m surprised the tuck rule still existed in 2008
10:41 Romo wasn’t even excited lmao
Sensed his throwing hand was about to be broken first play in overtime lol
Seriously though, if that field goal kick was missed. Romo would have never broken his throwing hand, and Cowboys wouldn't have crashed that season.
‼️RISE UP RED SEA‼️👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
and war damn eagle Auburn
Looks like half that crowd was Cowboys fans.
Ouch I remember this game. Basically ruined our entire ‘08 season.
I was at this game as a kid. Met some Trash talking cowboys fans at this game and it felt so good to dish it back throughout this game 😂
This was the year the Cardinals won the division and my Seahawks went 4-12. 2008.
Dallas Cowboys are always exciting
Also shows how the cowboys lost in spite of his effort all in one clip lmno
The game was lit
What a punt block man that guy came outta nowhere quick
U are making your suscriber proud. :) :). Bring some Lions games from somewhere around 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 year. (Highlights).
Man they so so screwed TO out of 1st ballot hall of fame, I know his attitude stinks towards the critics but he was such a beast, his blocking is so underrated as well, I’ve seen bout to TDS here that wouldn’t happen if it wasn’t for TO, he made all teams he was on better even the Bungles.... although by Seattle days he wanted out.
What yall know about marion the barbarian
I'm a die-hard Eagles fan we did lose the other day but damn Dallas🤔
3:33, this is a fumble. Romo brings the ball back, has his back to the field of play, and the ball comes out. It's either a fumble or a backward pass but since it's the Cowboys, they invoke the tuck rule.
Lol you think only Brady gets that rule? It was an nfl rule. Romo was in the throwing motion all the way foward the ball into the defender. when getting hit which can count as an incomplete pass. And I wish the refs were for cowboys back then like they are more so now. Romo wouldn't have been whip lashed late hit constantly with no flags.
@@johnortan1890 dude, he was facing the back of the endzone when the ball came out hence it's a backward pass. I know you crybaby Cowboy fans are used to getting your way but c'mon, it's obvious.
1:33 I do not blame Owens for giving Gurode shit for that fumble. He literally stared at the ball
This was a great game of receivers too. Cardinals has Fitz, boldin, and Steve breaston. All 3 had over 1,000 yards this season. Dallas had TO, Mike’s Austin, and Patrick Clayton
Miles Austin didn't break out until the next year. 2008 Austin was still a nobody.
This day, this game is how and when I quit gambling. I had the under 52 and the points Cowboys +3 1/2. A f'ing first time in NFL history a game ends on a blocked punt. History, first time...Without even watching I can still remember all of the end game field goals Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit..Earlier in the day I lost a bet in a college game due to a dropped, muffed fair catch punt, which was returned for a touchdown with only 30 seconds remaining in the game... Wyoming vs somebody that day...And then this game...Lolololol
F'ing day.
Whenever the Cardinals beat the Cowboys it's a really good day lol
I remember this crazy game. The crazy year. This was the best defense Romo had in 07 and 08 and they weren’t even that good.
I see what you are doing with these uploads and had a suggestion. The Bengals are playing the Ravens Week 2 of this season on Thursday night football, so I suspect you will be looking for a classic Bengals-Ravens game to post at that time. In the 2004 season, the Bengals beat the Ravens 27-26 in Baltimore and it was quite a comeback. If you have access to that video, that would be great.
That catch by Larry Fitzgerald at 7:50, man. Fitz mossed people all the time like there was no tomorrow
I don't care what anyone says:
1) Fitz was the best of all time
2) beating the cowboys has been, is, and always will be sweet
6:42 lol had me dying
Epic
Finally a cowboys video lol
Black Skip Bayless there’s like four of them already
I’m so glad in 2012 they took out the tuck rule
Whatever happened to Steve Breaston? He looked like the ultimate #3 WR with the Cardinals.Had a 1,000 yd season playing behind Boldin & Fitzgerald. After that, he vanished.
If you watch Tony Romo's expression at about 10:42 you can clearly see why he got sack/fumbled first play of OT. The mans head was clearly not in the game, he must have had injuries, and rolling out of the pocket first play was not an option..
It was the first time in NFL history that a game was won in overtime with a blocked punt recovery for a touchdown.
bruh larry fizt literally catches everything.
How tf is that not roughing the kicker they broke his foot for goodness sakes
Tony does what he dose best laying on da floor
That just means the oline does what they do best, not block.
There goes Romo getting beat up behind our bad lines
leonard davis
And yeah, something magical ot crazy always happens at the Cardinals home stadium. If you look at the long list of great plays that happened there, it might be the most suspenseful stadium in all of sports. It's just too many freaky fluke plays & great games to name.
Oh yeah and early doucet was solid too
Watched this game in Flagstaff, sitting near cowboy fans and niner fans. Could be wrong but I think the niners lost a nail biter to the Vikings that day? Only us cards fans were happy in that bar that Sunday
Had Dallas won this game or the Steelers game, perhaps they wouldn’t have needed to win at Philadelphia in week 17 to get in the playoffs.
I worked this game as a housekeeper in the upper deck.
Blocked punt ftw
My good friend and former roommate made that block! #87
this is the greatest game ever played wtf
My boy D ware
Imagine if the best QBs Fitz had in his prime weren’t old QBs
7:49 #42 got larryed
Esse dia foi louco
08 Cards were an anomaly for sure
4:55... OUCH
That should of been roughing the kicker heck he even tore his acl.
Larry Being Larry at 7:37 & 8:29
Prepen for week 6
So Romo clocked it at the 40 yard line, which means it should be like a 58 yard field goal, but for some reason it is only a 52 yard goal? 10:20
DarkChocolate33 the endzone is 10 yards and the goal posts is about 2 yards behind so it makes sense
And it would have been 14-0 Cardinals, but the tuck rule was still around.
I'm thinking there was a penalty on the cardinals like jumping offsides or 12 men on the field that bumped it up the last 5 yards, because it should have been 57-58 if you add the endzone and the 7 yards behind the line that the ball is snapped
There was an offsides on the spike hence the closer try.
Karlos dansby war damn eagle a auburn legend!
I am so freaking glad that the Tuck Rule is not in the NFL anymore it's a stupid rule
