That was a good video, Thanks. I used Blender 4.1 and Unreal 5.4 . One thing I did change was the Alembic Export settings. I had to enable triangulate, this generated a far larger file but made the animation sequence play correctly in Unreal. Without that setting enabled the model looked horrific in Unreal, it's as if it couldn't work out how to triangulate the model correctly and it made a right mess of it.
Really great work my friend! THANK YOU! Your videos are very well explained and edited. I would recommend a few things for your SEO regarding YT videos: 1) (me specifically), Was searching for a tutorial on how to transfer a cloth simulation from blender to UE5 and ended up learning cloth simulation all over again which was a great reminder for me! Just keep in mind that when it comes to only the transfer itself, people will be clicking on the shortest video possible, so you adding your very well explained cloth simulation addition may come in handy for game dev / animations so the title may be: "Easily create real cloth for ANY game! (Blender To Unreal Engine 5)!" That way people will be expecting more than just a simple transfer tutorial. 2) you can always upload another short version of only how to do the transfer alone, this could generate more curiosity around your videos if it will be short and precise! I Really hope you the best of luck and may I see more of your tutorials even on your main channel🙏🙏
Curious, what version of Blender did you use for this video? Subdivision surfaces create a jagged mess when exporting the final Alembic, it's only by removing them from the workflow that a clean export is generated.
How do you keep file size down on alembic exports, mine are always so massive with the subdivs I need to get it looking smooth and not hard edges, I'm talking like 40GB + imports that simply crash UE instantly
I'm trying to export a PNG sequence with the baked animation from the cloth simulation but every time I try to render animation it doesn't render the same animation from the simulation... What am I doing wrong?
"Unknown file format: not a valid Alembic." Blender 4.0 to UE5 v5.3.2 and the same from Blender 3.5 to UE5 v5.0.3 dont know why i watched a lot of tutorials and everything works well for everyone exept for me:(
Thanks for watching!

hi, did you get a solution for this? I have the same problem
I have been losing my mind to do this in unreal, thanks I will try this method, hope it will work better
Great tutorial❤
Great tutorial.Mind that the import Scale to UE should be -100 along the Y or you will get the wrong face direction in some cases
Great tutorial! Thanks for taking the example all the way to the UE sequencer, most tutorials stop at the import to the viewport. Excellent!
Amazing mate
Wow! What an Amazing channel!
Great work brother.
Thank you, mate! I appreciate it!
Please do a video tutorial on flag animation 😢 🙏
nice thank u!

Hello, how do you export textures on Alembic from Blender to UE5?

maybe it's stupid but try changing the file name to have only English letters [no special ones] it solved the problem for me
