Great vid, as usual. Someone on Facebook was selling their Tesla ring because she bought the wrong size for her husband. I got a great deal on it and it was a perfect fit! I love using it, but you have to remember to LOCK your Tesla if you're just using the ring when you leave. I'm pretty sure it will still automatically lock if you have your phone with you, but if you don't, it will not lock automatically with the ring.
@@Harem__King No, I knew my ring size and it's a perfect fit. It helps to know that info before you order, but most Amazon vendors take free returns, so you could always exchange it for the right size.
Bought the CNICK ring and I loved it for 2 days. 3rd day (today) it stopped working - cannot lock and unlock car. I tried to remove the ring from the car and tried to re-add, and was not able to add back. My last choice is to return it. I loved the way and looked great :(
There are 2 versions of key fobs for the 3 and Y. One is proximity based and the older has to be pressed. Also with the newer fob you can summon the car forward or back if you have EAP or FSD.
Question:- If you have a key fob, can it be reprogrammed to use with another Tesla, e.g.same or a different model, albeit with reduced functionality if that model isn’t capable of that action? I don’t intend to get a ring, but for those that do, could their rings be reprogrammed, or is the data in Keys, fobs or rings fixed to that vehicle once programmed?
Here’s a question about the rings: With the rings, do you still have the standard two minutes to press the brake and power on or do you have to place the ring near the cup holders to power on? I ask because I’ll be wearing it on my left hand and since my MYLR is a LHD, crossing my arm over to reach the console would be awkward. I emailed CNICK to pose this question but their reply was “you can wear the ring on any finger you like”, lol.
I have seen those smart ring to lock/unlock teslas. However, I have never found an answer about if one ring can be linked to 2 teslas (either 2-model 3s, 2-model Ys, or mix). Let me know if you can test it out with other model 3 or Y.
@@EverydayChris I saw a video on diy ring. Basically it uses the rfid chip and the wire that inside the keycard. I hope it would work 1 ring 2 cars as I don’t plan to get multiple rings(it seems a waste).
Off topic here..have my awd model 3 for a month..amazing car, convenience of not going to the gas station is great,tech/software is unrivaled in the ev industry..coming from a big family van and having lower back issues,the seat is uncomfortable as hell..maybe i should have gotten the y instead of the 3 but from what ive seen the y’s seat are smaller than the 3..but i could be wrong…hopefully my cybertruck order is gonna be coming in late 2024 or 2025 probably 2025 so i could swap my 3 to the cybertruck

Hey Chris, I’m going to be dropping my model y at the shop for ppf and ceramic coating, I’m curious about how you allow the shop access to your vehicle as they need to hold the car for 3 days. Do you give them the keycard and set a pin for valet and speed limit? Any advice would help. Thank you again for all the helpful videos!
key card! no valet mode as they need to open the frunk. just take anything valuable out and trust them. Cant even have sentry mode on because it drains the battery too fast

Hmm, what the. I’ve had mine for a while still works. Try unpairing and repairing. Maybe cause of software update?

Yes! Thats my hack. Lock it with the ring and unlock it and start so I don’t have to put key near the reader

Have you tried adding some lumbar support pads? Not the best looking but it might help
seats are the same but they aren't on risers like the Y so its lower!

My Samsung FLip Z does NOT always work. Many times I have to take out my phone and open the Tesla App. Very annoying. What can I do about that?
