Yes I have Aventus , Erolfa , Himalaya , MI and GIT and I must admit I am a Creed fan and don’t really understand the hate but they are an amazing house there is no denying that! erolfa and Aventus are my Favorites and a little backstory no one knows is that Erolfa is the houses family gem and the word Erolfa is actually the first letter of each of the family members names . I discovered this when I had the opportunity to me the North American ambassador for creed and he shared this tid bit with me. Either way great stuff !!

Here's the thing: Are there houses that have made better scents? Yes. Are there houses that make more daring fragrances? Yes. Is there another house that consistently makes as many high quality, safe, office friendly/average joe would like fragrances? Not even close. They may not always do super ground breaking things, but notice that fragrances from designer houses from the 80's and 90's feel dated now. However, the Creeds from that era all still feel appropriate to wear today. They made timeless fragrances in part because of the simplicity and always making sure the products are of a high quality.

Just a side note my man, any creed fragrance in 100ml bottles does NOT contain real ambergris. They stopped using it a while ago, which is why there is such a massive quality difference between the last few years of creed fragrances and older batches.

I remember getting Himalaya when I was senior in College, that was around 2009. I was in Saks early this year to get Orage by LV but then saw Creed kiosk and went and sprayed Himalaya. It reminded me of why I loved Creed house back then. I’ve been one to heavily criticize Creed for reformulations watered down garbage; however, other than Silver Mountain Water, which is literally water, the rest have performed well if I apply two sprays behind the ears and one behind the neck. For me, Creeds give me olfactory fatigue quickly if I spray around the chest or front of neck areas. When I spray Creed the way I mentioned above, I get plenty of whiffs of it throughout the day. Most have lasted a solid 6 hours then projection falls to just a skin scent or if the wife is getting a little pickle tickle 😆 she smells them and gets all crazy.

Himalaya is great, but my top is Aventus, I can't help it. I wish I could say otherwise, but I gotta be honest with myself.
My 2nd favorite and one that often tied for first was Silver Mountain Water, but that was on the old formulation. The new stuff is good, but it opens up the whole ball game for just about anyone.
Erolfa can't be overlooked, it's gorgeous. Green Irish Tweed is a classic. Royal Oud is special. Millésime Impérial is an enduring gem.
By the way, if you like Himalaya, get your hands on Paco Rabanne XS. There were claims that Himalaya was copying the original formulation of XS, but I don't buy it in this case. I always find it hilarious when Creed are held up as the pinnacle in fragrance brands. They created NOTHING 😂 Erwin Creed might have been head of the company and pose as some Master perfumer ….. he wasn’t! Pierre Bourdon created Green Irish Tweed … given absolutely no credit by Creed who do the same with everyone who works for them … probably why he then went and created Cool Water for Davidoff 😂😂. Creed didn’t make Aventus either, a perfumer made it for them. The tall story that they found a book of perfume briefs by his great great grandfather is probably just that. The really old Creed fragrances, late 1800’s etc , were made by Creed and all smell like your grandad 😂

Despite the lies and manipulation, they did create the company and the vision for it. The perfumers didn't select themselves either. It's not right at all that the owners took credit for others' work, but it seems they consistently selected the right people to create and flesh out that vision and give us whatever fragrances we all enjoy from the house today. 🤷‍♂️
