At first i wasnt a huge fan of the SN95 when they came out in the 90s, but now own three of them. A 94, 95 and 96 with the 95 being a carb swapped 5.0liter. Love the old school start up and sound
Im happy to see this my 95 made similar horse when i last had it on a dyno. E303 cam, gt40p heads, msd ignition system, and and edelbrock efi intake. 244 horse at 6053 rpm and 314 ft lb torque at 2833 rpm. This is showing i might need to get it retuned as i bought with all these mods on it after ot sat for 2 years but happy to see more sn95s like it
Damn for a second I thought that was my old 95GT. Same color, similar idle. Mine had HCI and a Vortech, made 453 to the tires on a VERY conservative tune.
RAD!! Nice work. Which I lived closer to bring the FBO N/A 96 Cobra by for some LMS dyno tuning. It has some brief hesitation at initial throttle input
I remember all the Vette's, Iroc's, GN's, and Stangs I used to play with in the early 90's? The sleeper I owned at age 19, was a vehicle, I had the most fun in, and I have owned over 20 cars in the past 30 years? A modified 1985 Dodge Omni GLH Turbo was the fastest vehicle I've ever driven or owned? It was a 12 second car, but was brutal with the most torque steer any car should have, to be safe? Nothing puts a smile on your face, like beating brand new Vette's by 4 car lengths with ease, stop light to stop light? The look on the faces of the guys just blown away, by a little economy box, was priceless? Their jaws just dropped to the floor, and were in disbelief, that any car could literally anialate their new American Muscle Car?
Back in the day when I was camming those even the fox bodies we went with edelbrook heads e303 cam would 1.7 rockers and we were getting up to 340 horsepower
My 95 gt 5 speed only has bbk headers throttle body intake mass air flow borla attack mufflers 373 gears with a fresh clutch and flywheel and pulleys ac delete and smog and it's a blast! Definitely not the fastest car I own but for sure the funnest to drive!
Great real-world build, anyone can toss high dollar heads, big cam, $1000 intake so on and make killer numbers but this is the first practical build and guy can manage just budget heads and a cam, and the people that snicker at what 260 wheel don't realize how fun a mustang with that kind of power can be, they run in 14s with that stock strangulated 5.0 wheezing out 160 to the wheel! Plus the owner could pony up a little money down the road and toss a good intake or have Tony at big dogs port it and cheap shorty headers on this gt and likely be at or damn near the 300whp mark, and a 300whp sn95 is a quick little car and the fear of a stock v6 pony car completely walking you will be gone...thank god lol. Why does edlebrock only set the E street heads up for flat tappet cams? What did it take to prep it for roller just a spring swap?
We actually have this car scheduled for an upgraded manifold this summer, so we'll see the gains soon! As for the heads, a spring and valve seal swap was all that was needed to accommodate the roller setup. We agree, it's bizarre they only have a flat tappet spring out of the box.
I’d take a 9 hour drive with my 1995 sn95 ; it’s full bolt on with the e303 cam , BBK CAI & long tube headers , flow master exhaust saving up for trickflow or afr heads (torn on making a decision) but out in NJ no one tunes these older mustangs 😢let me change this radiator and get in a 180° thermostat and I’ll reach out to you to check your availability and what pricing would be to do so ; much love from NJ
Nothing like a V8. I have an LMS tuned Ecoboost Fusion with an aftermarket intercooler probably faster than this before and after but, still it's not the same - fun for sure but not the same. Almost 2 years running a LMS E30 tune and still no desire to even try another brand of tune.
a lot of people would scoff at 260whp but its pretty damn good and makes for a fun car. thats roughly what a brand new wrx sti makes and noone snickers at those. plus the mustang is a couple hundred pounds lighter. if sn95s or new edge mustangs were japanese, even the v6 models, theyd be going for a bazillion dollars.
@@LivernoisMotorsports which manifold are you going with? i have a foxbody with a cobra intake and i havent dynoed it before or after. im not sure about peak power but it obviously made the powerband wider and it seems to make more power higher into the rpms.
Do you guys still sell upgrades for the 94-95 cuz I've got a Chrome Yellow 94 GT 5-SPEED that I'm starting to mod up now I've already got BBK ALUMINUM UNDER DRIVE PULLIES, SHORTY HEADERS, 75MM THROTTLE BODY, MAC C.A.I., FORD RACING 410 RING & PINION, 9MM WIRES, MSD DISTRIBUTOR CAP & ROTOR, COIL so far and Awesome video God Bless ✝️ Sincerely Clay B.
I'm still never sure why or who made the decision to go to the 4.6 It doesn't sound like alot now. But back then it was kinds a big deal. Ala Going to eco boost
car already has heads, cam, and throttle body, it now needs a gt40 or similar intake and maybe a bigger MAF intake. then a small supercharger that will not boost big to help the pistons and it may pick up another 100 hp. wish I could afford to get all this done to my 94GT. I'd only get me an E303 cam instead.
We would need to quote this to the specific vehicle, as this car had exceptionally low miles, so some items we're needed to be replaced that others may be. Give us a shout and we can put something together 313-561-5500
Naturally aspirated V8 gotta love that sound

We definitely recall the hate when these were new, people loved their fox bodies!
You know it's the 94 or 95 by the wide ways red tail lamps. Awesome job guys

It's likely coming back for more work, so you may see more of it!
This is my buddy’s car. He also has a newer supercharged Coyote car. He’s enjoying retirement. He worked his ass off for many years, enjoy John.
He's a great guy, and we've enjoyed being entrusted with both builds.
What tuning system? i have a 94 that needs a tune
@@rmanor5508 I’m not certain I would have to ask. Maybe Livernois will chime in.
30yrs later and im finally getting to were i sort of like the SN95.
We understand that, it never really got the love it should have.

the old 2.2/2.5 Turbo stuff was definitely ahead of it's time for 4-cyl boosted fun, that's for sure.
Back in the day when I was camming those even the fox bodies we went with edelbrook heads e303 cam would 1.7 rockers and we were getting up to 340 horsepower
This dyno has always been a heartbreaker, so probably not on our dyno, as that would mean it would be making almost 425 flywheel.
Nothing sounds like a pushrod 5.0.
It's true, they have a uniquely 'lumpy and burly' sound.
Especially with a cam.

They definitely are fun still!
Reminds me of trolling people with your brother's Ranger on Telegraph... lol
Edelbrock makes Edelbrock Estreet heads that are compatible with Hydraulic Roller camshaft? And not just for flat tappet?
They are with just a valve spring upgrade. Which is what we did here.

Good heads good cam good intake manifold and exhaust a guy can get into the 300+ whp range easily

Dan I have a similar car 94 Gt with a load of similar part that have not been installed , what does something like this run with tuning?
Please give our team a call at 313-561-5500 and they can go over your options and specifics.
My first car only ran a 15.1 with 2.73 gears and a king cobra clutch.
They definitely weren't amazingly quick, but respectable for their era.

What would the price be for something like this
Since the condition of these cars varies wildly, they are done by custom quote only. You would need to call for pricing.
My 95 Mustang GT has 227,000 original. With the original clutch too. Is now a good time to throw a cam and heads on it? 😂
along with trans, fuel system, short block, and pretty much everything else? Absolutely!
303 cams are dinosaur cams .. lunati ,comp cams , anderson all of them have better choices than the old 303
t when that's the exact setup the customer wants, and it's still capable of respectable results, why not?
wow 160 is really low
Pretty spot on for a stock Mustang, autos would be in the 130's usually
These cans are no good compared to what you can get with custom grind
Crown Vic engine.
This is before the 4.6 2v. This is the 302 pushrod. Good guess tho
