@@StayHydrated-wd5ic going well! I also picked up an irs to swap into it also. Changed plans so those 14-175 springs aren’t gonna be used and getting fully body coil overs.
@StayHydrated-wd5ic I'd do gen 2 its cheaper and just as good when modified prob even better with boost and it looks alot better without the ugly di crap. The coil covers look way better. I'm doing gen 2 on my 97 cobra with ported gen 2 cj and cams with stock gen 2 heads that's easy 520+ on e85 and it can make a ton boosted if I ever wanted to. Gonna stay na and do a handling build. Already got a big power boosted gt500
@@midnight347 yeah with the gen 3 I’ll be at 510 with e85 without changing anything lol. I work in the parts dept at a ford dealer and got a killer deal on the gen 3.
Coyote alternator needs to be a automatic one or you need to purchase a pulley. The standard transmissions use a clutch pulley which won't work in reverse. Using the fuel filter/regulator part is tight if you have a panhard bar. Running stock gauges is not hard at all, along with using stock AC. PS reservior can mount on the left side, moving battery forward and make new reservior bracket. K-member is a must, imo. Also get a better oil pan, I use Holley, stock pan can rub the rack.
Only if you're using the relocation bracket. If its mounted in the factory location, it doesn't matter if its manual or auto version. It will work as intended. Mine will be mounted in the factory location because I did the electric power steering conversion.
Awesome, very cool, going to be a kick@ss New Edge build, only knock on the car would be that bullet style grill not a fan of. Those digital dashes are cool for these cars.
My mama passed away and she left me a mountaineer I don’t have nomo but now I know what I know I wish I could coyote swap it but it already had a old 5.0 in it
I wish someone would do a start to finish on the PBH control pack on an S197... show where all the wires are spliced in. Your other video you used, I'm guessing an older control pack thats different from the current one. The new ones don't have the little white plastic fuse block that integrates into the original fuse box.
Does the control pack use the stock 4.6 pcm or does it use a stock coyote PCM? If coyote does it come in the control pack or do you need to get one with the engine?
So on the coyote new edge swap what all can you delete I mean do you keep you stock ecu in the same location plugged in purge solenoid and or other parts of the wiring harness what do you do about the coolant hoses
Sooo what if i bought the the new 2024 mustang gt engine... would a 3rd gen pack make it run? If not lol thats cool lmao just asking because they just made it available to buy for like 15k 😅
There is NO reason to go gen 4. Just because it's newer don't mean it's better. The one w dual throttles ain't even tunable just like the pos s650. DO NOT swap a gen 4. You can get a gen2 or 3 for a fraction of the cost and it has better potential because of the tuning situation.
I have a gen1 and I’m using a 04 gt radiator and it goes from 1.5 to 2.0 inch and every hose I find ends up kinking the hose what is would a good hose be I was looking for one with the spring in it can’t find any so far
Yes only with it you can use stock flywheel and stuff since it too is 8 bolt like coyotes. It's even easier however if you're gonna turn 8000 rpm I don't recommend using a stock t45 it won't like those rpm. That is why I'm doing a t56 magnum when I swap a gen 2 coyote because in doing cams and ported cj on mine it'll be turning 8000+ rpm and be 500+ wheel on 93 and e85. The stock trans won't like it so I'm gonna go ahead and do a magnum and a good twin disc clutch with mgw shifter. If you do just a stock coyote especially a gen 1 or 2 the t45 would be fine turning stock redline 6800 rpm.
Yes because it is a pushrod not mod motor based. 96 up cars are easier because it's essentially the same thing the coyote is a newer 4v its like a punched out 4.6.
So I am trying to put a 2024 gen 4 coyote 5.0 into my 08 GT. This is my first ever swap. Everything I’m seeing says they don’t currently have a wiring harness that is plug and play for this. Any advice?
Hey fox cast, where did you guys put the coyote computer for say a 99/04? Im doing a coyote swap on a 99 cobra currently and cannot find a good place that looks clean to put the computer.
Out of curiosity, did this swap maintain the Anti-Lock Brake system? That part for is the make or break on me possibly doing this swap in the near future.
When I did my swap Nate was so helpful he really knows what he’s doing 👍 also I do recommend if you are using stock ac and gauges (don’t throw out your stock pcm!!!)
If it's a stockish coyote not revving much over 7k it can but if you are modified and spinning it higher like 8k the t45 isn't gonna like that. There is more to it than just the power number you gotta think about what rpm you're gonna turn as well.
Alot of ppl like gen 2 better because it don't got the di it looks cleaner and it can make just as much power as a gen 3 boosted it may be even better for boost being lower compression at 11:1 instead of 12. The gen 2 is a badass motor it's my favorite. It's every bit as strong as gen 3 they have the same rods which is the weakest point.
Is it possible to do a coyote swap and still pass emissions to legally register and drive your car on the road? Most people doing this must live where emissions are not required. That's the only thing stopping me from doing this.
Just ordered my upr k member kit. Went all chrome moly and 14-175 springs. Gen 3 going in my 97 cobra next week!
How is the swap coming along? I’m about to purchase a 99 new edge soon, but trying to go gen 3 as well

THANK YOU!!
My brother passed 2 months ago and want to continue with converting to coyote. Had many ?s. This is a brain saver. ❤
You guys are awesome and straighy forward. I can't wait to do my 98.
Close enough for a 95 thunderbird lol I've got a 4.6 so a coyote just seems fitting for the old man birdy.
Great video!
Gl on the build! Got a 97 myself. I’d love to get a coyote in there one day. Our two ton cars can use the power.
I'd love to see this!
If you can find parts go for it
Any 4.6 car a coyote swap is pretty easy
Any advice on where to buy engines and what to look for when doing so?

not a fan of. Those digital dashes are cool for these cars.
i swapped a 2.3 to a 2v last year. hydroboost, T45, Hydroboost,
this has been on my mind heavy
Are there any extra steps or parts I need if my base is a v6?
Mind me asking what the total cost for parts in this job came out to?
Does the coyote swap require a mustang gt or cobra, or can a six cylinder mustang be ok
You could use a v6 but there’s a lot more of conversion such as rear end, etc. most things that a gt would have you’d need or better.
Does the 2004 cobras front bumper fit on the 2004 40th anniversary ford mustang ?
Can i do the same swap using a new edge v6 as the donor car?
How do you feel about the 2000 mercury mountaineer with a 5.0 in it?
My mama passed away and she left me a mountaineer I don’t have nomo but now I know what I know I wish I could coyote swap it but it already had a old 5.0 in it
What will I need to still use the 4r70w transmission
Is it similar to swap a base model
Have you done a mt82 on a Fox I’m trying to save a little I have a gen2 set up from a crashed mustang

does the plug and play work right away place it and start if so mind does not it start but run rough and wull not idel can you help me maybe
I’m getting a 94 v6 mustang tomorrow and want to coyote swap it where should I start ?
Does the control pack use the stock 4.6 pcm or does it use a stock coyote PCM? If coyote does it come in the control pack or do you need to get one with the engine?
Hello 👋🏽 can this mod be done on a 99-04 V6 3.8L?
yes
@jacksontbanda okay, thanks. Do you know what's needed for this mod? If don't mind sharing.
@@rolandbaron5813 everything in this video but when he talks about power steering and ac etc, you need to buy a new one

Does the 15-17 coyote starter use the same connectors for the 99-04?
How about a v6 t5 same thing??
What do you charge to do a 1992 hatch back foxbody coyote swap, i'm in Michigan?
How much harder is a gen 3 and 10 speed ?
Are you using 2v ecm or truck ecm??
For folks who can’t do longtubes, does anyone know what Shorty headers/manifolds work? Holley? F-150?
Is this all this the same for a 98 Cobra?

I think this one used the UPR-K-member and long tube BBK headers.

I put mine in the front body/fender area under the stock air filter location. Elongate where the two large holes are. It's on my YT channel.
What about if you have a v6 to coyote?
LS swap it

The truck 5.0 worked just fine we have 2017 truck 5.0 in our 2001 edge fits great 👍
