And then in the white community the lighter we are the more sickly we look and are looked at sideways if we aren't tan etc. I'm just glad that I never spent too much time in the sun bc all the white people I know that did when we were younger are so wrinkled and look so much older than they are now. Fortunately for Ethnic people any shade, they always age so well.

wildebest I can tell you really didn’t pay attention to this particular video because they have been married for 6.5 years already and were together for 5 years before they even married. Don’t just make unfounded accusations when you don’t even know what you’re talking about. Also go back to their very first video and you can clearly see how much she loves him. I can tell that the love is mutual from this video, but everyone sees things different, maybe you truly can’t see it, but having followed this couple since their first video, I know that woman loves that man. After watching their first video and hearing her tell him what her biggest fear and worry is, come back and tell me you still don’t see how much she loves him.
wildebest but what you just said is based on a matter of opinion. I can tell that they have a very solid and healthy relationship where communication is at the forefront. You can’t base your personal opinion of what you think is love and then judge other couples. What works for you will not work for everyone as we are all different, with different personalities and perspectives and views and beliefs. We are not a monolith.

The only things I believe are universally needed for a healthy relationship is love, respect, honesty, fidelity, commitment and communication. These two seem to have all of those things in spades. they need to reach out to me. i have a black mom and a white father, its the only pairing that i can relate to. My parents are still married 41 years later.i have heard all their stories but what still surprises me is that random people think they are just having a "fling" but when i show up these people are usually stunned ( they all tend to be white of course ).

I’m pregnant now to what will be a multiracial child and this was a great way to put it in perspective for me. I’m a white woman from the north and my partner is a black man from the south and our experiences are so different. And we don’t know what the experience will be for our child.
I've been watching you two over and over,and see myself back in the 60's when l fell in love with a beautiful black girl in Jr high school and she was in love with me a white Catholic boy with a family that was racist, we talked for week about dating but because of the feelings I had for her I wouldn't and couldn't put her or me through all of the things that people on both sides would have to say, I think of her offen, even now at 71 I still think of her. I feel where he's coming from. As a mixed child, I have faced racism from within the white side of my family and to this day, they continue to say and do things that are racist. Even after being told the reasons it's painful and offensive. So at this point, I have made the choice, because THEY have made the choice to not do better, to not respect me and people like me, so I feel no loss in no longer maintaining those connections.
No one should have to keep connections with people who harm them and make no work at doing better.

I think some things aren't just differences though. It's discrimination. There's a difference between not liking the same music, and one person being racist.
Watching this during the George Floyd's death riots, it's giving me hope though things are looking so grim. These two are incredible together and a standard on what true, healthy, unconditional love should be. Thank you Andrew and Keisha for sharing your story!

I agree the world at the moment is destroyed by the Plague called skin colour. We have been corrupted by it. Racism is a particular form of oppression, It stems from discrimination against a group of people based on their skin color, makes them inferior to their oppressors. It's now dominant ideology of society today.We have negative stereotypes and I would say masked racism.I think this couple is strong because love conquers all.
