  • Dual Layers, It can be tricky, but the more you do it, the easier it gets. Here is a light bearing Full size P320, With TLR1, QLS Fork and speed Lock Gen 2 hood.
    Process start to finish is literally the same but with 1 extra step.
    Hardware may change do to varying thicknesses, but all the same more or less.

    Been thinking about getting the stuff to make my own holsters and sheaths. These videos are very interesting and I love the fact I can make my own safariland type holsters. Great video

    Hell yeah man!! Turned out awesome. I’m building an EZ appendix rig with spare mag, sidecar I guess? Lol it’s my own compact design that resembles a sidecar 🤷‍♂️ this guy picked the ugliest color combo you could imagine too haha desert carbon fiber on front and zombie green on back, it’ll be so ugly it’s gorgeous I believe!! Lol

    Have you done any suede lined on the outside before? I found a 7 year old Phlster video about it, but I'm curious on your take for application and whatnot.

      I have done suede inside. You can buy pre applied suede to kydex at holsterbuilder.com good on vac press. Sucky on foam. I've done Cordoba covered as well

      I have a set from holstersmith and I made the flat aluminum ones. But HS does have it

    I know this is an old video... where is the retention point on the TLR? You got a good interface fit at the end of the video... what is it "clicking" on since the trigger guard is a no-go?

      The whites are call round widgets and will be available on my sight shortly. And the flat bars are from homedepot. I cut to size. You can also find some at Holstersmith.com

    I would love to see a holster exactly like this but suede lined. Unfortunately I can't find anyone who can even make a holster for my gun without suede lining.

      I used to do suede lining. However it's a liability. Glue softens after a while and now you have foreign debris in your holster. Plus suede holds dust and dirt good, becoming sand paper. I can do a video on it though. I think I have suede in the shop

      That'd be awesome if you could. Thats one reason I always liked the safariland holsters is the suede lining. Even if I couldn't get suede lining, I'd still like to get a holster made but I can't find anyone who can do my specific weapon/light combo

    How do you get the tape to stick to the mold prop? I can’t get mine to stick at all. It’s a real pain holding the blocking in place when the tape holds for less than a min before falling off.

      @@FalTacUnlimitedLLC I guess that is a question. A bullet trap is what catches your rounds fired at an indoor range when your not hitting the ceiling. It was a joke as the 320 has a history of discharging on it's own.

    I see that you sanded off all the side controls off the mold. Have you noticed any clearance issues?

      @@andrewbrewer4635 no way. The blocking is usually taller. If not a double up blocking or use a thicker piece. I color it black to remember there are controls there

      @@FalTacUnlimitedLLC right on I'm probably going to spend the money on the ones I can just buy cuz I'm a not that mechanically inclined and I'll take a shortcut I don't mind but I'm not going to get started till probably next month and the reason I got interested in this is because I bought a light from my operator last week and I cannot find a holster to fit my tlr1 mounted on an operator apparently the operator slide and frame or bit thicker than the normal 1911 so I started looking into this and I was like hey man come with this I know I'm being long-winded and I apologize but I also want to ask cuz I still haven't found a good holster for this what I'm looking for is a level 2 retention Safari Land type holster that will fit my operator with a tlr1hl if you can help me out let me know I'll pay for it absolutely that's all I wanted brother thank you
