Where this could useful is if you need to conform to certain uniform standards and the holster needs to be a certain color for example security contractors and military. Also, you could use the excess material to wrap other pouches, etc.

Why not align the edges of the wrap with the open edge of the holster, leaving a bit of overhang, and then trim it off like the rest when you go around with the razor? Then you wouldn't have a seam at all.
Regarding the ads, I prefer the sponsor spots over the random and annoying YT ads.
Interesting idea. Not something I'm likely to do to my holster, but interesting to see how it's done.

it is as you said. i would keep the few inches of overhang and glue them on the inside just past the screw holes. then when the glue starts to fail at the edges, the screws hold it from slowly unwinding completely.

I was going nuts watching him center the fabric on the side of the holster, instead of lining the edge of the fabric up to wrap around the holster. They made the holster with a single piece of Kydex, so why not do the same with the wrap. Ugggggh.

Part of the benefit of wrapping a holster in this type of material is it cuts down on reflectivity since kydex can be kinda shiny. And noise reduction from a branch or something similar, instead of plastic is on cloth. I think both are minimal, but every bit counts sometimes.
I prefer ads from content creators as opposed to the ones from UA-cam.

I'm sure not ALL Americans have this much stuff in their lives but most you tubers seem to have tons of stuff. I laughed when I read your comment Chris. I agree with so much of what you say. I also live in the UK, in the suburbs (like so many of us) and I prioritise space in my home over STUFF. But I still love watching others using the stuff I used to drool over owning. I have so much stuff, I can’t get enough space in my tiny workshop / storage spaces to use it properly 😂🤣. So I will go on giving my stuff away to friends until I can do what I really prioritise. Whatever that ends up being. Tough choices!

Really like the short but cool/fun “arts and crafts” as you say projects. Would love more of them

The ads don't bother me. I scroll to the end of the video, then hit the replay button and no ads for the whole video. Works every time.

Nothing beats G-code's Tactical Fuzz. I don't know how they bond that stuff to the Kydex, but it's perfect after the better part of a decade of daily use. Absolutely no peeling or delamination. Incredible.

On all my appendix concealed carry holsters I do something similar on the backside of the holster that touches the skin except I super glue a medium thickness piece of leather. I cover the back in super glue press it tight and have the leather come up enough past the holster to rest against the back of the slide. It's makes for the most comfortable holsters.

If the holster effectively has a seam on the back edge, why wrap the cloth all the way around and have a cloth seam on the back side? why not just follow the same seam for both? Either way, this is an awesome wrap... I like that a LOT more than getting a camo print kydex. I would think it would make it a little quieter, and less "shiny" or reflective. I also really like that holster system.. I hate having the holster threaded in the belt, and then you need to take the pistol off, but the only way to do that is unholstering the pistol.. I like keeping the holder on the pistol like that.
Also, for the ads.... just FYI, my ads for this video were for Carter's children's pajamas..
Last thing.... the YT channel Donut Media also does in-video ads, however, they also add a little yellow progress bar across the bottom of the frame while in the ad part of the video... I thought that was kind of clever.

I prefer the sponsorship vs UA-cam ads. I just wish I would have found out about the SimpliSafe wireless cams before I went with another company 🤦🏻‍♂️
    Thanks as always sir.

Cody I am of the opinion that the ads you drop are audience appropriate, most of your audience understands you have to pay the bills 💪🏻
