    Tips and tricks. Even the lasering at the end. Enjoy!
    Plus you see me dogs and my unbelievably messy shop. New pool table caused a ruckus moving things. But slowly getting there.

    @2:52 you say "we have a couple options here" and then pick up some metal strips. Which i think you call blocking. You never really explained what any of that is for and why you need it. Is that blocking to stop the kydex from forming around the slide release , ejection port and safety so you can pull the pistol from the kydex? Im assuming if you didnt block those things off including the sights you'd have a stuck pistol inside of a piece of kydex.

    • @FalTacUnlimitedLLC
      @FalTacUnlimitedLLC  Рік тому +1

      Blocking is used to create a pathway for raised or lowered areas on a firearm. You're correct in saying you'd have a stuck firearm if you don't block for something. For example, slide releases. The kydex will form around the slide release , create more retention, and add holster wear. If there is blocking. That will create a path for the slide release to travel freely inside creating no extra friction and added holster wear. Most of the blocking I use is created in house from aluminum flat bar found at home depot

    I’ve been working on some double layer holsters lately, been having some issues with them splitting apart in some spots. Nothing huge but wondering what you do to get them back nice and tight. I want it to look like one solid sheet. Didn’t know if I should get it a little hotter then press or press it down harder for longer. Seems like a lot of time it’s during drilling, but what a good fix if it splits?

    • @FalTacUnlimitedLLC
      @FalTacUnlimitedLLC  Рік тому +1

      It won't split if you melt it together for a while. Same temp but for about 400 seconds. Does the trick. Good pressure as well.

    Another bad*** holster and video! I see you're getting more into the editing and adding the music, good job! I wish I had a shop big enough to put a pool table in it!! 💪 A few vids back u responded to a comment of mine saying if I ever needed help with anything. I'm making a sheath for a very different knife and was wondering how you'd approach it. Do you have an email or something I could send you a pic of the knife and my idea, and get your input on how you'd do it per chance? I greatly appreciate your videos. I've learned more from your vids than any other Kydex UA-camr out there. Truly an artform and down to a science at the same time! No rush! You're probably super busy!

    I see you are using a metal FOMI style clip. Do they tend to hold better than the plastic clips? They seem to be more rounded where they contact the bottom of the belt on the ones that I have seen, but I've never used a metal one myself.

    What is your thoughts on pressing the .08 first then trimming out a design of the .06 and pressing over the freshly pressed holster instead of pressing both at the same time? maybe put the heat gun to the .08 holster just prior to wrapping the .06 custom design cut around it

      3/8 screws for fomi with 1/4 rubber spacer.
