Thank you very much for this video. More than 50% of the cars on our roads are used JDM models. I was in the car import business for 15 years. I retired last year at age 65. The very first car I imported.......I own that. It is a 2003 Corolla Fielder wagon. The Z Aerotourer model. This comes with a 2ZZGE engine, rated at 190HP. Mine is automatic transmission with a 4-Speed manual mode. The JDM cars are limited at 180KPH. The speedo is graduated to 180KPH. My car passes 180 to an imaginary 190. I am doing 225,000kms. On the second set of Denso SK20. I replaced 1 coil-pack about18 months ago. Never done any major thing on the engine. Still runs beautifully. The problem I have is easy cold start. When the engine is hot, I have to tumble three times to start. Then no more problem. No one can find the reason. I have decided to live with it. Good channel. Keep it up. Trinidad & Tobago. No way i own a corolla t sport with the 2zz and have the same problem. what People say its the starter thats bad but i guess you have replaced it already. Other than that engine is healthy and running strong with 236.000 km own it for six months and love it ❤
@@jouryriina388 Healthy tumble. Last year the relay in the starter went bad. Replaced the starter. Same problem up to today ! I will live with it. Trinidad & Tobago.
I have a 2004 Xr. I grew swapping Hondas and knew that the gts motor (back when it dropped) was the GS-R's biggest rival. Being a honda guy then I dismissed it. I'm now 40 and I wish when I bought my Xr that the Xrs was available. Been looking at MWR because I want to swap. But it's damn near the same price as just buying an Xrs or GT.
Dont need to hide the mileage those cars pretty much run forever!!!!! I love the channel I used to own a celica gts till i destroyed the transmission lol
Question have you heard a “ticking” sound coming from behind the dash/ driver side of the engine bay. But only on throttle… as soon as I let off it stops, and I can only hear it from inside the car. I can’t hear it when I look under the hood…. Any help with this would be awesome

I have a single wire that runs behind the motor (color: blue w/ red stripe) and I cannot figure out where it goes. It runs through the coil over wires on top and out the back. Does anyone know where it goes too?

Add color of those spark plugs normal? I have the p0302 code on 2k GTS I just picked up and the coils and spark plugs were replaced (OEM Denso) just making sure the brown/Yellow is normal since mines are exactly the same condition. Going to look into replacing the PCV hoses and injectors next. Thanks and keep up the good content!

If you mean the color on the porcelain is normal, it isn't. Brownish yellow/orange usually indicates that there is oil leaking into your spark wells. That is not normal. I'm not 100% sure what a fix could be but it could be due to bad pistons or maybe a failing valve cover gasket. Go cheap first and work your way up or try to get a mechanic to check the misfire. Could be a whole slew of issues or a cheap fix. Good luck!
My 03 XRS throwing code po300 301 302 303??? What could be wrong??? I alryd replace coil spark plug fuel pump and filter..and imjector too...but i have light brown injector maybe is wrong one???
there's a company I bought the injectors for my 3MZ called 5 o motor sport and i also sent out a few injectors to be flow tested and they did a fast job.

Hi, I have 2005 Corolla XRS and the car stalls out when letting out the clutch and out of gear in to neutral coming to a stoplight or stop sign. The RPM gauge just falls off the cliff to 0 RPM and dies. The car restarts fine but this issue just started recently. I've cleaned the throttle body and replaced the air filter, yet problem remains. Do you know what is causing this?
Check your IACV (Idle air control valve). My car would idle at 2000rpms sometimes, then it did it all the time. I just pulled mine out and cleaned it out with throttle-body cleaner and the car idles fine now! It ONLY idles high when its humid outside and the computer is adjusting to the air..

Could be an exhaust leak, mine has one

Did you replace the PCV valve? I had a 301 issue. Went away after putting a new pcv. I basically felt like a new car

After fuel injector replacement, did you disconnect the battery, so that ECU can relearn? 🤔
Well yea I had to remove the battery to remove the stock air box and throw on the Injen intake

Sounds like you are running rich at cold start, get an air fuel ratio gauge and monitor your exhaust
