One of my favorite childhood memories is of playing Shenmue one snowday from school. Nothing eventful, just a memory that has stuck with me all these years. Hearing the music brings all those memories flooding back. Wonderful.

When I was a kid I had a friend who had one an I have very fond memories of playing sonic shuffle, Ms.Pacman and 101 Dalmatians in an empty room with only a couple of boxes, a small crt and the dreamcast when it rained heavily outside (his parents didnt want him to play videogames unless it was absolutely pouring outside). I was 9 at the time and now 15 years later I still think of hot humid rainy days as dreamcast weather.

I was 14 / 15 years old and it was the last time in my life I can remember not abusing substances regularly..something that ultimately became apart of who i was for 20years. However back then it was late nights on the Dreamcast with my friends - working throughout the night to see if we could beat a game in one sitting. It was a blast. That late 90s decadence. That pre 9/11 innocence. Thanks for posting!
The boot sound alone takes me back. I still have my Dreamcast 22 years later and you know, it still doesn't feel it was that long ago. I sure miss those days.
Hearing the soundtrack of L.O.L: Lack of Love now that Ryuichi Sakamoto has passed never fails to bring a tear to my eye. Definitely one of my favorite soundtracks of all time!
Seeing all those games scroll past like that while Dreamcast music plays makes me want a new Sega console with a online store where you can download all of these.

I regret selling my Dreamcast not only once, but twice. The sad part is that it is much harder to find good used ones and games anymore compared to a lot of the other legacy systems.
@@MelodiesZone It's cool if you can visit Little Tokyo, those import stores have pretty decent prices from what I recall, I think I saw Evolution there, I really want to get both at some point in Japanese too, after I get the pink ST model. but I was flat broke and had to settle on some crummy GB title, ugh.

@@MelodiesZone In Japan you can find literally any console in perfect shape. Super Potato is the most known store, but there's other ones as well.
