So glad I got one of these in '99. It was such a big leap when it came to graphics and features on console. Lots of nostalgia listening to these tracks.
I still have my dreamcast, and I actually play it more often than my ps2 despite most of my collection being there. There's just something about popping in my copy of PSO, Outtrigger, Third Strike, Sonic Adventure (either one, really), or like Zombie Revenge and the right VMU that just gets me really sinking hours in. I can still lose myself in a game so easily, and I love it so much.
Being a kid growing up in the late 90's I remember when my dad brought home a Dreamcast, and all of the awesome memories I have with it, it's honestly my main inspiration as a musician, as it's always had some of the funkiest tracks on there, can I make a suggestion for a few games you need to add to the mix? Toy Commander Revolt Blue Stinger Soul Blade Sea Man thank you for making these playlists! the amount of work you put into each video is impressive, and I hope you continue to help people enjoy this awesome music
Hey, just wanted to comment again that this channel has pretty much become essential to the start of my work day. I work in IT and I daily this mix while I work tickets. Love the video game preservation 👍👍👍
You have a lot of good ones on here and some lesser known gems. Like Low Lights on Metropolis Street Racer. Thanks so much. UA-cam algorithm helped me out this morning. Forgot to give this playlist a like the last time I heard it but not this time!
Yes! When Low Lights played, I immediately knew the track, but couldn't place it at first. It's been >20 years since I was obsessed with the MSR soundtrack, haha. Great mix, super nostalgic, and happy that OP put it together for us.😃
I miss my Dreamcast. :( (it got stolen out of my storage garage. My PS1, PS2, Genesis, and Sega CD, too. Luckily I still have my Saturn and PS3, which means I can also still play my PS1 games 🙏)
The moment I realised I liked Jazz, if you can call it that. Low lights - Metropolis Street Racer. Does anyone know of any bands etc that play similar stuff?
I love the video of the Dreamcast disc spinning, but I am really annoyed by the cheap video filter applied to it. CRT screens didn't look like that. The date in the corner looks right though.
@@stackbundles2663 Then go make your own playlist. If you don't like it, find another playlist. It's that easy. Don't be just another cruel piece of trash in the world.
@@stackbundles2663 There's a place for constructive criticism, but who on Earth comments negative shit like this on video game BGM mixtapes? GGDreamcast: this is a great mix and it really made my night. Thanks for putting in the effort. As a day-one Dreamcast owner the graphic really sells it, too.
PART 2 IS HERE! ua-cam.com/video/Q30iTn6dpoA/v-deo.html
I don't think this playlist 'sucks'. A lot of people may not even remember the Dreamcast, so thank you for making this.
the joy i felt when the very first song came from sonic shuffle
love that

this music mix doesn't suck, in fact it helped me relax while working, exactly as advertised
Pure nostalgia listening to this!
This was far more relaxing than I expected. It's a delight.
Prolly one of the best vids on youtube to be honest.
Tell the world. 😄
Hope this channel takes off, I appreciate all the work put into the Dreamcast content
Thanks! I feel like I'm still figuring out what people want to watch. Hopefully people like it!

Awesome playlist.

Just started this, but it's a solid list for sure. Pleased to see Dreamcast content :)
Thanks pal! Working on another this weekend.

Good video! I love the aesthetic and listening to the music while drawing or doing homework
So glad you like it! More music mixes coming.
@@GG_Dreamcast Great! I also liked the other video, showing the Dreamcast and the old CRT, feels nostalgic and relaxing
This is awesome!

Thank you for taking the time to comment!
greatest console ever
Absolutely.
Why does that song from Metropolis Street Racer sound like the intro to a 1990's family sitcom set in Chicago?
Because it's excellent.
@@GG_Dreamcast can't argue with that logic.
remind me for about 20 years.

How this sorcery is working, the timestamp says 9/9/99 but most of those games were not released on that day, a time travel machine ? Very mysterious

When the early 2000’s got it right, they got it fucking RIGHT
More PSO tunes! 🎶

Sorry about that. Check out the other music mixes that I've made. I didn't do any video effects on those.
So much of this sounds like Nintendo
this music mix sucks badly
