2:23 That's the whole reason why it exists, to make you move around, unlike the Wii where you can cheat and play sitting down, instead of actually doing some effort. Fun Facts: The Xbox One Media Remote also works on the Xbox Series X. And the same can be said for the original Xbox One controllers and it's updated variants.
the size of the Duke actually has some more history behind it than just "its big because funny" when boards for the duke were being designed, there wasnt any sort of prototype shell to put them in, nor were the designers given any sort of guidance on what the rough dimensions should be, so the single layer pcb that was made ended up being too big to fit inside the shell that the team responsible for designing it made, given that they didnt have the resources to design a new pcb they just gave the controller a larger shell. this was later changed with the introduction of the japanese xbox controller, which is in turn what the S controller is based on in western markets.

Thank you for uploading this probable masterpiece nathaniel candy Edit: it was indeed a banger. That adaptive controller is so sick and i had no idea that it was a thing but i feel so heartwarmed knowing that it is
All of them are great but I think the third party ones are best. I use the Gamesir G7 SE controller. Its layout is a little different but it has Hall effect triggers and analog sticks. The Hall effect means that the parts are magnetic and never touch each other meaning IT CANNOT GET DRIFT. Besides that it has anti friction rings around the analogs so the sticks don’t collect friction while being pushed against the edge. It has two mappable back buttons that you can lock if you don’t want to use them. It has 4 functions that control game audio if you have a wired headset. It has a magnetic faceplate so you can easily access the buttons if they get grime. It’s also paint friendly so you can customize it. It has great grips on the triggers and back of the controller. The only thing it’s missing from a new gen controller is not having a riveted d pad and auxiliary port at the bottom but the d pad is normal so you can control sound output. And it’s cheaper than the normal controller at only 45 dollars! I 💯 recommend it
The seres 2 does have two issues, a large batch used low quality bumper triggers, sometimes they Wil fail to respond and eventually die outright, and the rubber parts will start peeling if exposed to heat and moisute. Bonus, easy removal front shell so you can at least fix the second issue if the front shell's rubber starts peeling. They also ALL come with a warranty for a year on purchase.
tbh, back in it´s time the duke was crazy (even for me as a kid). I layed it down and played like this. The black/white button were pretty cool. (games like halo used it for flashlight and stuff) I liked it, even if it was crazy big^^
There's also the fact that the dongle has an executable on it for the DVD player program. They apparently did this due to some form of licensing issues/to cut costs a bit.
1:52 I actually got to say as somebody who loves the connect and has used it so much. I would say that the Xbox ones is worse for a few reason that normal people wouldn't notice. The thing is the Xbox 360 will actually move around left and right up and down in a lot easier. It has a lot more movement which makes it easier for her to see you move over. It'll turn its camera and if you put it like above your TV it will look down and it will get a huge wide view and work well. Well the Xbox ones can't do that and that's why it has a wider field of view. This is my opinion. I'm just a connect lover that's why I know a lot
I have never had any problems with the Xbox Kinect I don’t use it a ton but I don’t have issues (I have 2 just dances Kinect adventures and 2 other generic sports games that I can’t remember the names of)
10:06 I personally prefer the Xbox 360 controller over all other controllers because it's smaller feels nicer. I like the start in menu buttons a lot more. The joysticks definitely aren't better but I like how you can turn around the d-pad and get two different types of d-pads. Also, I like how the buttons have that cool look to them I also have to say you have a older controller version of the Xbox 360. The later ones the 2012 and later had this special d-pad that you could move and switch and it is so much better if you decide to get the controller, you'll realize how much nicer it is. I also got to say I like the lights on the Xbox 360 controller a lot more how it tells you what player you are, how it has the circle go around it when it's connected. Overall I think it's a better controller. Also there was even even enough for the OG Xbox that made it so instead of being shiny it was gray. I have all three types
1: Xbox 360 controller 2: OG Xbox controller (not very comfy, but looks cool) 3: Xbox One controller 4: Xbox Series controller (Comfortable, but boring asf)
apparently the story with the duke is that they accidentally ordered their pcbs way too large and some scheduling or financial issue made them decide the best option was quickly prototyping new much larger shells for them. i think the intended design was a lot closer to the Type S controller

For anyone thinking about buying the Xbox elite, if you live in a relatively cold area I would recommend getting it. If you live in an area where is 80 degrees all year round and you have no ac I’d reconsider. It turns out that the rubber grips are cheap and will expand in hot environments and it will get fucked up to the point of getting in the way of playing. The easy fix at the cost of it looking tacky is to cut the bubble down the middle overlap the rubber, then cut off the excess so it’s flush and gorilla glue it down
Thats because Sega wanted Dreamcast game to be able to work on Xbox, but Microsoft rejected the idea... except for the controller that ditched the cool screen and changed the buttons. 3:50
Trust me on this, you don't want the elite 2. The regular series controller is sturdier and the buttons click better. Elite 2 is so mushy and one of its buttons got sticky over time.
As soon as he started talking about the kinnect control and how tiring it was to use, I started laughing 😂😂😂 at his ranking not once did I ever get tired when playing the kinnect it was for people who were always active it was so easy to control. You didn’t really need the controller and it was so fun playing dance Central.
I have one of the Madcatz Duke controllers, I use it on my emulator machine, takes me back to the days when I modded my xbox and ran emulators off of it. I normally don't like wired controllers, but it sits behind a monitor on a desk so not a big deal. I have massive hands so it feels great.
1:37 Microsoft was banking on the kinetic to be the next big time way too much. They made a crap ton of them because they thought they were going to do another 60 million units. But when the Xbox One flopped and the Kinect was dropped Microsoft had a bunch of those Kinects left over. I've seen Kinects all over the place. I've seen them at museums for dance things, having falling object bounce off their shadow, and one that was a real time terrian elevation map. I've seen them at hospitals to check in on patients. There's still probably warehouses full of kinects that never got sold and are waiting to be reused somewhere else
I'll take Xbox 360 controller any day. That thing is unbeatable in my opinion. It's the most comfortable controller I've ever used. And it lasts longer than any of my Xbox One or Elite controllers in terms of the buttons and build quality.
Xbox has cool designs for their controllers, it has more angles than the PlayStation and Nintendo controllers. 1:07 The Xbox connect makes you look funny which is why I stayed away from it but for some reason the Wiimote felt more natural to use.
The Xbox one s and Xbox series controller are so similar that I took one of each and combined them so the front looks like a one s and the rest like a series controller 😂 About the D-pad well... I used a Dremel 😅 and the top part doesn't fit perfectly cuz the one s controller is a bit wider at the top and the series controller a bit more round at the top. Looks very very goofy
It's too bad the bumpers on my Series 2 controller aren't really responsive. I have to apply force just for them to function. I tried fixing them but failed.
i have the series x/s controller and it seems like a pretty good controller. feels more premium than my ps4 ones and i dont really mind the batteries as i only use the controller for my laptop and sparingly at that
I have huge hands, so using the Duke is honestly a lot of fun for me despite its comical size. It kinda melts into place, and I like the stiffer trigger feeling in comparison to the newer controllers. I have both the original and the Xbox One variant :)
13:13 Back buttons aren't really useful on console, but they're _insanely_ useful on PC, especially on the Steam Deck. I always map L4 as a screenshot and I occasionally map other stuff to the others. One is a screen swapper for Cemu.
Back buttons allow you to take advantage of four fingers that lack even a single button they can commit to. That’s why the DualSense Edge only including two is so maddening, even if you allowed the function buttons to act as two more buttons. The thumbs for those function buttons already have to man the face buttons, the touchpad, and now those function buttons.
As someone with big hands, I didn’t mind the duke’s size. The white/black buttons felt unnecessary. Also I can’t criticize the logo not being a button when most controllers just used it as a logo space until the 360/ps3 gen. For my money the 360 was their best controller. The dpad was awful but it wasn’t used that often at least in games I played. It’s disappointing but I haven’t liked the Xbox controllers since the Xbox one on. When they slightly changed the shape of the bottom of the controllers, they became too small around the handles so my fingers are cramped. They also made the center of the thumbsticks smaller. The only solution to the thumbsticks is to buy the elite to get the “classic” thumbsticks or to buy covers. I hope one day they make a slightly bigger controller with an option to have the classic thumbsticks, but they seem to believe they perfected their controller with this design.

Ranking every mario kart arcade track.
Ranking every shrek game
i think he did both of those
I'll take Xbox 360 controller any day. That thing is unbeatable in my opinion. It's the most comfortable controller I've ever used. And it lasts longer than any of my Xbox One or Elite controllers in terms of the buttons and build quality.
My family used the xbox one Kinect to call our grandparents through skype because the camera was really good so I guess it was good at that
Now we just need NB to rank every Sega console.
Xbox has cool designs for their controllers, it has more angles than the PlayStation and Nintendo controllers. 1:07 The Xbox connect makes you look funny which is why I stayed away from it but for some reason the Wiimote felt more natural to use.
The Xbox one s and Xbox series controller are so similar that I took one of each and combined them so the front looks like a one s and the rest like a series controller 😂
About the D-pad well... I used a Dremel 😅 and the top part doesn't fit perfectly cuz the one s controller is a bit wider at the top and the series controller a bit more round at the top.
Looks very very goofy
Could u do 3rd party controller ranking vid
"What Do You Call A Narwhal That Snarls?"
"What?"
"A SNARWHAL!!!!"
It's too bad the bumpers on my Series 2 controller aren't really responsive. I have to apply force just for them to function. I tried fixing them but failed.
i have the series x/s controller and it seems like a pretty good controller. feels more premium than my ps4 ones and i dont really mind the batteries as i only use the controller for my laptop and sparingly at that
Fun fact: For some reason there's a very rare Bluey theme Xbox Series X created to celebrate the launch of the Bluey video game
I grew up on kinect and it was the wii sports i grew up on and i think it’s more fun
mine still works today pretty well
i don’t get the hate
It's very entertaining to see videos in this channel...
Hyperkin made a 360 controller as well
